When you want this this type of Chinese food. This is the only place you should go. Portions that quell hungers of a village and the nicest and most welcoming staff.

The food was tasty but sauces too thick and sweet. Best eaten fresh and hot and they pile it high but after a while when it cools and sits it turns into a sticky mass of carbs. Service was great the place has a hood classic vibe. Best to eat it there and maybe ask them to not give you so much, it really was a lot but only $9.99 for 2 item combo. Probably just me I guess. Try it at least once .

Huge servings, good flavor, very reasonable value and friendly staff. The staff is happy to give you a sample to help you decide on ordering. The seasoning is slightly different than typical steam table Chinese Take-out establishments. The OK Chinese chow mein and fried rice tasted a bit sweeter. The serving sizes are so large that we decided to order the Combo B with double Orange Chicken and half and half, chow mein and fried rice, a couple of fried prawns, a couple of fried chicken wing pieces and won ton soup. All of the food feed 4 us and we were full. The orange chicken pieces are tender, good sized pieces and nicely fried with a good batter and sauce. The shrimp and chicken both had a nice crunch and very light on seasoning. The won ton dumplings don't have a lot of taste but they give you a ton of veggies, shrimp and pork in the broth. There was so much extra tender pork that we ended up making pork fried rice with the extra meat. This will be our go to Chinese steam table restaurant when we are in town. Excellent value, huge portions such that the food is squeezing out of the containers, good service and good Chinese fast food. If you are craving fast Chinese food that is tasty and a great value restaurant for multiple people or a large group, go here, don't miss out.

I saw a post regarding this place and decided to stop by to try them out, the post I saw showed that they were very generous with their portions, I can confirm that they do serve humongous portions that you can just barely close the lid of the food Container. I ordered the chow mien/fried rice with spicy pork and 3pcs fried chicken wings, I love the spicy pork, the fried rice and chow mien were also good. They have other foods I have to try out. The servers were friendly and professional The dining area feels kinda divey but functional and clean, I came in around 5:30pm, not sure of their operating hours. I looked for and didn't see a sign stating their hours, I wish they have a self serve soda fountain instead of selling them by the can.

Yelp, YouTube, & TikTok made me try this place;). Food portions is incredible and HUGE! Can definitely be shared between two people! I ended up not finishing it and saved it for the next day. Chinese food in general doesn't always reheat well. If you're one person going to Ok Chinese in Van Nuys, one item plate is enough, but if you want the two item, definitely eat all the fried rice and save the Chow Mein for reheating. I got the Kung Pao & Orange chicken. Overall good, but needed a bit more flavor however it wouldn't stop from going back. I did notice a smoky type flavor which I couldn't tell where it came from. It's different. Not bad but not great either. I think this place is Mexican run and I like the Hispanic influence over the cooking! The employees there were really nice! They do accept credit cards. Probably the next time I go, it will be the Orange Chicken & Chow Mein. I really liked the Chow Mein! That surprised me a lot and the texture of the Orange Chicken is really good as well just needs a bit more Citrus sweet flavor:). Kung Pao Chicken okay. Would try something else next time. All in all, it's definitely worth your time to check out. The portions are worth the price. I wish Panda Express would give these portions.

The food was OK. Greasy, not horrible but not the best. Definitely have tried out worse spots. The chicken was too small. Overall, the food was OK but I would not go back.

Do they still just Cash only?

I will say call them just to get the most accurate answer. When I went like 3 weeks ago I didn't see any notice about cash only but I did read other people reviews that said bring cash. So I had both cash and card, I paid with cash in the end

    Is it still cash only?

No they accept credit cards now

What's the potato and beef dish called in this place?

    You mean potato and chicken?

. Did they raise the price for a combo plate? I went there yesterday and the charged me over 8 dollars. It was only a little over 6 dollars before.?

My partner got the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, which was flavorful and comforting. We both grabbed sodas with our meals, and I appreciated that they had Sunkist. You don't see that at many places, and I love a good orange soda. The portions were generous, everything was fresh, and the flavors delivered. Service was great, too. The person at the front was super attentive, and I liked the mobile ordering station near the register. For anyone searching this spot on Yelp, just a heads-up that it's located inside the Northridge Mall. It's definitely worth checking out if you're craving some good noodles and dumplings. I'll for sure be back.

Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

I got the sesame noodles and 6 pc signature dumplings. Here's a tip - when you order to go they don't give you the sauces. You must get the sauces. I used the little cups and got all the sauces. The garlic sauce and hot sauce and you must use it. I swear it makes a huge difference. Also like any dumplings you must consume it right away. The restaurant was clean and open so even if it's casual it's a good place to eat with family/ friends. The options seem similar to Chubby Dumpling and Tigawok. I ordered the #4 Combo, with the Signature Dumplings and the Signature Noodles. Both dishes were good. The Signature Noodles were nicely done and had some good flavor, I just wish that there was a protein option to add to it. The Signature Dumplings were fine. I've also tried the Spicy Wontons, which were small but tasty. The big sell here is the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, for $17.95. This is the only dish that's served in a big ceramic bowl, and not a to-go container. It also comes with a proper Ramen soup spoon. This is a meal on it's own. Filled with broth, noodles, chunks of tender, but fatty beef, daikon radishes and bok choy. The dish is good for the price, but the broth was a bit underwhelming for my taste. Fortunately, they have plenty of condiments to add more spice and heat. Over all, Bafang Dumpling was better than expected.

The food comes out when it's ready. There's very little interaction with other people unless you plan a group lunch. It reminds me of some Japanese restaurants that service those not interested in to talking to people while they eat. They just want a quick service, eat some food and leave. If this was a place in Koreatown, I'd probably give it a 3 star, but considering that it's in the valley, I'm upping it to 4. There just aren't enough places in the valley that serve food of this quality. I'm calling this average Korean food, but it beats other Korean restaurants in the valley by a mile. I'm talking about those places that service food you can get from Costco (Bibigo and the like) or Trader Joe's. The valley needs to more places that serve actual Korean food.
