This place was run by a bunch of doofus teenage boys. While I appreciate hiring high schoolers, they simultaneously were so confident but absolutely clueless when it came to helping the customers out. Their organization was a mess. We saw people stressed out and waiting while the staff sifted through papers and buckets for keys and proof of deposits. I reserved a spot online which seemed to be pointless since I still had to wait in line for the counter. I also paid for a parking spot and had to drive to an alternate location (which was fine) but then was told that I needed a parking pass back at the counter... but then why wasn't I given the pass while I was at the counter? The best part of their service was the bus driver. He was the only one who seemed to know what was going on and explained how we were getting back to our car at the end of the ride. If it wasn't for him, we would have been totally screwed and not known when to get off or where to go when we got out of the river. The river itself was a fun experience, but please take this review into consideration when thinking of places to rent tubes from, especially if it's your first time tubing around there. They really need to get a new system, because this was just a mess. Maybe don't have high schoolers walking around with clipboards and shades pretending to work. I asked multiple of them where to go and what to do and got shrugs or was told to wait in the line. My one star is fully dedicated to the bus driver, thank you for helping us out. read more

I was initially told $10 for parking, there was a misunderstanding and and upon leaving, I was charged $25. The manager acknowledged the mistake and only charged $10. I appreciate his honesty and have no problem recommending them. They are a stand up business. read more

After trying EVERY tube rental place near the Comal...I finally found Corner Tubes. Maybe it's experiencing bad that makes the good so, well...good. But, it's really good! Great in fact. The folks who work here are so friendly and down to earth. If you go enough..they remember you and on top of that...they give you a loyalty sort of "hook up". So, go here...and KEEP going here! Parking? Easy! Whether you come early or late...they always find a way to squeeze your car onto their lot...then they hook you up with a drive down to the river entrance. If that is not customer service...I don't know what is. Then when you exit the river...you NEVER have to wait. They have your river float time down to a fine art and get you picked up ASAP. This place is the jam. And the jelly. Also, they are one of the ONLY places that spells "Tubes" correctly...that's a five star joint right there. read more

I'd use them again. We had 10 girls for a bachorlette party and Corner Tubes was able to pick us up and drop us off since our Airbnb was so close. The staff was organized and worked quickly to get everyone through the lines. I rated highly because of the staff but there were a few negatives. The location for this float is really crowded so I'd recommend starting early. Also, one of our tubes popped but we called Corner Tubes and they quickly ran us a replacement. read more

He tried charging me $100 for a tube even though it was returned and his other manager said I wouldn't be charged anything. I experienced nothing but BAD with this place. We walked there from the house that we rented and when trying to rent tubes from them they refused to hold a drivers license as collateral for the tubes, we told them we didnt have any keys because we hadn't driven there. They had the gall to suggest leaving someones wedding ring with them! We ultimately walked all the way back to the house to get a set of keys, very annoying. Once that was settled we paid $90 for 6 tubes, not a bad price, but also not a good price. Felgers, next door, is $12 (For an all day rental). But we went ahead with them and hit the river. Upon exiting the river we walked to the bus-stop where we were to be picked up, we got on the bus and were made to wait for about 20 minutes until enough people had gotten off of the river to fill up his bus completely. Meanwhile all the other outfitters were running busses every 5-10 minutes max. The experience hit it's final Low when we got back to the rental place and asked for our tubes back so we could go on another float. We were told that the $15 we paid was only for one float and if we wanted to go again it would be another $5/person. REDICULOUS! Not only are you higher priced than others around you but to add an additional charge to re-use the tubes! That was not posted/explained ahead of time/ even hinted at when we rented the tubes, and the standard for tube rentals is that you pay for full day access. UPDATE: Full disclosure, the Owner called me after I posted this and was very apologetic and truly seemed upset that we had such a bad experience. He offered my family and I free tubes for the rest of the year and explained some changes that he would be implementing to remedy some of the troubles I experienced. read more

Don't go here. They give you wrong information and act like the information they give you is better. They make up what the laws. Your children can go down the river go next door to Felgers Tubes! They are much nicer and helpful. If Matthew from Corner Tubes knows your taking your kid down the river he will tell you have bad a parent you are. Location is key! Right across the street from the entry point to the river. Didn't have to get the shuttle since it was so close. Prices were reasonable. My friends and I came to Corner Tubes today to float the Comal. 3 of us had tubes from home and two of us had to rent tubes. When attempting to blow up our own tubes, we were clearly struggling, the two MEN that worked there neglected to offer help. They were very unreasonable with us and in the end questioned whether or not our purchased pass was valid to get on the shuttle. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEY CHARGE FOR EVERY LITTLE THING. read more

Went here twice this past weekend with my family. 20 $ a tube/shuttle per person 10$ parking. Make sure you look up the river rules if you aren't familiar! No disposable items including water bottles. We had a good time, definitely using this service again. I saw some companies renting out those black inner tire tubes that burn the shit out of your arms, legs & back.....this place has pink ones that leave you with your skin intact after being in the sun 3+ hrs straight. read more

Parking and renting a tube is honestly the worst part of going to the river. The best thing to do is to get there as early as possible. I used Corner Tubes this past weekend when I went to the river and had an OK experience. There were a ton of people (I got there in the afternoon instead of the morning) and it was pretty hectic. They hold on to your keys and other belongings for you which is nice but because their system seems unorganized and all over the place I left wondering if they would mix things up. Thankfully I didn't have any problems. The line moves slow and there isn't an actual line just a blob of people crowding the counter. It's pretty frustrating but the tubes are nice and the service was friendly. It's really close to the river which is a plus, although if the parking is full they send you to a parking lot that is a little futher away so you are not guaranteed to park where the place is. No major problems so I would probably come back here. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. I have given this place 3 chances because they are closest to the mouth of the river. Every time I spoke to someone, they gave me different pricing. No organization in the lines, no consistency and an incompetent staff and manager. Not to mention a rude staff. I recommend landa falls and Texas tubes. Really ANYWHERE else at this point. rockin'r has always been our go-to rental place by virtue of them driving the most volume of tubers through the comal and guadalupe. we decided to change things up this time and try Corner Tubes. Parking is a problem. the parking lot attached to the rental shop is tiny- it can fit anywhere b/t 10-15 cars. we had to park across the street in what looked like someone's private residence, but the owner of the shop assured us we were ok. the prices here are about the same as Rockin' R. the tubes with bottoms are cheaper here by a dollar, but other than that they're identical. the equipment is also of the same quality. the ladies working the rental stand were really nice and did a great job with sorting out who had rented what and who had already paid, etc- we had a relatively large group of 18 and everything went smoothly at the counter. there is a shuttle that will bring you down to the the river and then also pick you up at the end, just like rockin r. you won't have to wait as long here to do your paperwork and get your rentals, i'd suggest going to Corner Tubes next time you float the Comal. read more

We rolled up at 11 am and were on the river by 11:20. So they are super close to the river. Parking was free (I think) toob rental was expensive for what it is. I mean really $15 per toob (however this is the going rate, so whatever). Zack was at the counter, no rates were posted anywhere. And honestly there were only two cars in back when we pulled up and the experience was kinda weird even parking it was like park and then we will take care of you.but park in this spot. We got two tubes and one cooler tube. $55 omg. Ok whatever. Took the sticky note to the kids filling toobs, and walked down to the river. Shuttle guy at pick up was great. It's also almost a 3 block walk if you prefer. We decide to float once more, sack says $5 ok. Reasonable for two people! Great. Give him $5 and he THEN says $5 each. Okay what kinda shady bullshit is being run here? You're like 14 and clearly NEED AN ADULT, zack wasn't clear about where we needed to get out or where the shuttle was. So bottom line, we rented toobs from rockin r last time and had a better experience. But the way to go is probably to buy your own damn toobs and pay to park. read more

My group of 6 adults went here for tubes last Saturday. When we went to pay and pickup our tubes, we were told drivers licenses were not acceptable deposits for the tubes, and they suggested we leave our car keys or even wedding rings. We didn't drive, so we had to walk back to the rental house and get keys, but I thought it was a terrible idea to even suggest holding a wedding ring as a deposit on some cheap tubes. We paid our $15/tube and walked down to the river. We had a good float and when we got out, the shuttle was there pretty quickly. The drive back to the tube rental place is less than 5 minutes, but we sat and waited for other passengers for over 30 minutes. When we got back to the rental place, we couldn't just grab our tubes from the trailer and go for another float, we had to go check back in (very long line) and we were then told that $15 only covers the tube for 1 float, and it would be $5 per person if we wanted to float again. This is what annoyed me the most. There were no signs that indicated the tubes for 1 float, or that there were additional subsequent charges to float again. It isn't on the website and nobody mentioned it at the time of the rental. It's not a very smart system anyway, because a person could just walk back to the beginning with the tube and keep floating. Right next door they have a tube place that is $12 to float all day. We didn't encounter anyone who was pleasant working there on that day. We won't be going back to Corner Tubes again. read more

The staff was extremely friendly. Prices were a little cheaper than the other rental places, from what I saw online. The parking lot was very small and seemed like it was full so we parked right across from it on the road that goes to the river, not a big deal. The tubes were in good condition. The bus driver dropped us off at the river and told us he would give us an hour and half to float the river, and would keep coming back every 10 minutes to check for us in case it took us longer, I'm not sure how long it took us, but when we finished he was there waiting. He was so sweet and gave me his hand to help me in and out of the bus, very gentleman-like. read more

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I was issued a refund on the basis that I leave a good review on yelp. 2 stars is the best I can do. Long story short: I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Long story long: We always bring our own tubes, and pay to have them aired up. Until Memorial Day, we have to use one of the tube companies to air up our tubes because the city hasn't yet staffed the park. This place charge more, but it's no big deal. We've always used Rockin R in the past to have them filled, but stopped here this time because it was closer to where we parked. We also had decided we wanted to pay for a shuttle, as we would be floating all day, and that sounded better than the walking that we usually do. The guy told us $5/tube to fill, or if we wanted to use the shuttle, it would be $12/person,and that would include the air. We told him we wanted to go ahead and purchase the shuttle, as we would be floating several times. $24 later, he informs us that the shuttle we paid for is only good for one ride. He then proceeds to drag the air hose out for us to fill up our own tubes. I have no problem with airing up my own tube; however, every other place I've ever used has filled them for us, so I was surprised. I decide to ask for a refund for the shuttle, as one rude on it isn't worth the money, especially when the other places offer all day access for the same price or cheaper. And they also don't take you down and drop you off like the other places do. The guy I originally dealt with had left, and the girl at the counter told is she could only go by the thing that says no refunds. But for $5 extra per person, we could purchase all day use of the shuttle. I politely declined, and as we were walking off, she told us she would go ahead and refund the shuttle if we would leave a good review on yelp. Her customer service is the only reason the review isn't one star. They will never get another cent from me, for making me feel as if they were deceitful. Had the man told us originally that the shuttle pass was good for one time only (after we had told him we would be making several trips), we would've passed on the shuttle and I wouldn't have had to spend all this time writing this review. read more

This place has a horrible system. If you want to go more than one time down the river you have to get back in line and wait for tubes at Corner tubes. The line was over thirty minutes long and they had to wait for tubes to come in from river. They did not give you the option to be dropped back off at the river with the tube you already had and go tubing again. You couldn't take the bus back to Corner tubes and grab you tube you had and head back to river. Horrible system! Go to ROCKIN R, you can get right back on the river in minutes. read more

Was told I would be called back on a Monday and it's been two weeks, I've tried calling with either no response or someone telling me I will be contacted. Still no contact. We bought all day wrist bands and was told to walk back and float again and we would be picked up after our second float. Ended up being separated from our group and having our cooler break. I should preface this review with the fact that we did go on a cloudy Tuesday and the day afterwards it flooded like crazy. So maybe it was just a slow day? The parking lot at their facility is SMALL. We didn't have a problem but I can promise you wouldn't be able to park right there ona weekend. The staff was friendly enoug, no wait, but a lot of HS/College looking kids that really didn't seem to move too fast nor did they seem too happy to be there. I felt like they were all hungover. I actually saw some with bags pulling little weeds out of the gravel like that was all they could handle that day, it was hillarious. The tube prices were in line with everyone else, the shuttles were prompt and we never had to wait too long. In fact that was probably my favorite part about this place. All the drivers were hillarious and older and seemed to be more of the local personality of this place. We were staying on the Comal close to the last public exit, but when we called to go a 2nd round they picked us up from our place! I would use this place again when I float the Comal. read more

No information was given by guy who came to car window, just an "are you renting tubes with us?" Had to ask simple questions to get any info. The parking lot they waved us into was full (which he told us after we gave drivers license) and we had to park a block away. Get there and it is full too. Parked in a church parking lot. Walk all the way back to tube rental place to find out we have to pay $10.00 for parking. And we didn't even park with them. Girl checking us in was not rude, but not interested. Gave no info and kept shoving an iPad at me to sign. Literally, it bounced on the counter one time because she shoved it so hard. Tubes were nice but not interested in getting cobbed again by this group. Headed early to Rockin R tomorrow. read more

we used this company last weekend for our ride down the comal, and I have to say I prefer rockin R better. the parking thing does suck - not really a fan of pulling in and then them telling us the parking lot is a few blocks away so just pull on through and come back by and we'll give you your stuff. oh and leave your drivers license. not a fan. overall it did it's job though and I like that they had mini tubes for the cooler instead of the full size tubes with bottoms, not a huge difference though. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Corner Tubes this weekend when we took our 5 year old on her first river trip. We communicated with Kristen through email and all of the arrangements were made in advance, so this expedited the process and we were definitely pleased with their service here! We arrived at 9am on Saturday morning, and although The parking lot is small we got a good spot. Kristen got us all taken care of in a very timely manner. She works quickly and efficiently while still providing superb customer service. When we were done floating it was around 11:30 and the bus was there waiting for us so we did not have to wait to be picked up. The driver (Bob??) even met us at the top of the stairs and helped us carry our tubes. When we arrived back at Corner Tubes there was a huge line of people checking in. We needed to return a cooler and get our keys, so we had to squeeze our way in front of people to get this taken care of, which probably upset some people, but we didn't want to wait a longtime as our daughter was ready to go. I feel they should have a designated line for people coming off of the river to get their keys back. Another downside was the restrooms/changing area. It was not very clean and made the changing experience rather unpleasant due to the fact we had Not been consuming alcohol. My daughter and I used the large changing room and the floor was pretty with gross with some questionable smears on the wall. Overall it was a great experience with Superb Customer Service and we would definitely use corner tubes again. Thanks to Kristen for making our trip super easy with fast email contact and accepting payment ahead of time so we were able to hit the river before all the "Craziness" ensued!! read more

We paid our $60 for our tubes and were not old that we needed additional cash for access to the river. This was supposed to me my first time floating the river and I couldn't go. We had our tubes for about 10 minutes and when we brought them back to see if a refund would be available we were told that it wasn't possible because we had taken the tubes off premises. When our friends who had gone in after we didn't have the money came back and inquired if we had gotten a refund, they were lied to and told, yes. I will not be going back here. read more

I was on my bachlerette party for the weekend, we paid for four (4) tubes with bottoms... because tropical storm just hit prior to us visiting & we heard snakes were in the water. Was instructed that they will charge $10 for parking/shuttle pass. We had our own tubes, which we indicated to their employee. There was no shuttle anywhere. We go to our car and back to pick our drivers license, now they wanted $25, since we didnt rent the tubes there. We told them we had previously spoken to their employee. They laughed us off. We had no other choice than to pay since we needed to get our DL license back. I asked to speak to a supervisor, they handed me his business card- Ben O'Neil. I contacted Ben on his cell phone to following day. He asked if I knew how to read English. I indicated to him that I will report this to the BBB, which did not concern him. From the sounds of it, he is used to dealing with disgruntled customers due to their poor business practices/scamming abilities. They just rape people for owning this location. Horrible experience. Save your money and go somewhere else. Dont let these cowards scam you. Never again will I considering using these folks. read more

The previous reviews are pretty accurate about the parking. A lot of people would find streets along nearby neighborhoods and park there, then walk. be sure to wear water shoes or shoes you don't care to lose while floating the river! My friends and I went to New Braunfels recently on a Saturday and rented tubes from Corner Tubes. The quality of the tubes were really good and there's a slot to hold a drink! We didn't have a cooler, but it seemed like everyone rented an extra tube to carry the cooler with them. I would not recommend bringing a cooler because along the river, there is a narrow path that pushes people together at an extremely fast rate, and once you are pushed through to the larger opening to continue along the river, most of people's accessories and coolers are ruined & destroyed. It was pretty amusing until we experienced the family before panicking because their young daughter fell out of her tube during the narrow path fiasco. We saw a homeless man with a fishing line gathering all the abandoned alcohol and clothes. He found a bottle of vodka and gave it to us. During the rest of the float, everyone is very friendly. I was a little concerned for all the children, however. I would not say that this was a family-friendly environment. Overall, I had a tremendous experience! read more
