Gentleman I spoke to was polite and clear about the best time to bring the car in. Discovered some adjacent issues which they clearly highlighted in their inspection report (including pics) which I may fix another time, but otherwise mostly stuck to why I brought the car in. There was no problem or huffing and puffing around this, unlike other places I've been to in the past. Pricing was reasonable and they were honest about what everything should cost. Got everything done quicker than normal too. Definitely will use them again once my bucket of bolts gets screwed up again, as they were a pleasure to work with.

I searched on "foreign car service" because I found no Toyota service garages in the Tarrytown area. I called. I believe Mickey himself answered the phone and promised to send the tow-truck as soon as it returned to the garage. But after about 30 minutes, Mickey himself turned up at the top of the hill I had reached, looked into the hood, showed me the power steering belt that had slipped off its pulleys, and suggested I follow him to the garage since the tow-truck was still out. He went very slowly to make sure I had no problems. He ordered an emergency delivery of the belts needed, and his mechanics replaced them without delay. I kept him and his garage in mind for 5 years, when the Toyota dealer service near my job lost interest in my car. Since then Mickey, Dan at the front desk, and the guys in the garage have performed every inspection, swapped my snow tires in and out, balanced the wheels, replaced the clutch, brake pads, and cleaned the brake drums, replaced radiator hoses and windshield wiper blades, front and rear ball bearings, flushed the brake system, replaced the cabin air filter... you get the drift. Dan tells me how much each part is going to cost and cost for labor, we discuss what I can afford and when. They take photos of any problems they see and send them by text, so I know what they are talking about, and the charges always come in as estimated, once or twice a bit less! And the car drives like new! Actually, there's not a lot left to do except maintenance, which they will continue to do for this car until gasoline is no longer available and I can't drive it any more. P.S. Yelp thinks I live in San Francisco. Don't know how this happened. I live in New York City, and I commute by train to Mickey's Automotive when I need to leave my car overnight.

That's why I felt confident returning for a second vehicle and I even recommended and sent them clients that I will not be sending back ! Unfortunately, my second purchase, a 2018 Honda Civic Type R, was a completely different experience. After purchasing the vehicle, I later learned -- through my own independent research and information shared publicly online -- that the car had previously been a stolen recovery. This information was not disclosed to me at the time of sale, and I only became aware of it after the purchase. Once this came to light, the situation became stressful and disappointing, especially given how important transparency is when buying a performance vehicle. While the matter was eventually resolved, the overall experience left me feeling that critical information had been missed or not clearly communicated upfront. I'm sharing this so future buyers take the extra step to independently verify vehicle history before purchasing. My first experience here was excellent, but this second one was a nightmare, and it significantly changed my confidence going forward , save your self the money and look elsewhere in my humble honest opinion ! NewRochelle honda is really good and so is White Plains honda !

I have gotten lower estimates but I think I rather pay a little more knowing I'm in good hands and I think everyone can agree with that. Now, the staff was very welcoming and very nice so I was talking to the staff about lowering my car and doing other repairs in the future and they basically told me that I shouldn't and that a lot of mechanics will turn away modified cars due to their geometry and needing a special lift.. but I am still going to haha, I'm a little stubborn so hopefully they will still service my car in the future and be my permanent mechanic going forward! Extra things to note, they do have a waiting room and they offer things to eat and drink!

Let me just say that I've been coming here for YEARS and have spent thousands since I had another car that I serviced. It's been convenient and most of the mechanics are friendly and knowledgeable. Today, I had a different experience. First off, the guy at the front (I won't say any names) is rude. It takes nothing to say hello back to someone who came in and said hello. Anyway, came in to do a battery replacement. Everything was done and as I was walking to the office, I see my car....left UNATTENDED WITH THE HOOD UP and my car still running for several minutes. He just left it there like that. I walked to the office (hood was still up). Stood there waiting to get my bill and keys (hood still up) Mind you...it's a rainy day. This kid was negligent with my property. I don't know if me being a woman alone made that acceptable but it's not. Big or small job, it's business and you treat everyone's property and them with respect. Then after seeing my car left on with the hood up, I make them aware of it and then I paid and left. As I was driving, my USB/anti theft system was not working. Screen blank. Not only was he negligent with my property....he didn't finish the job. You have to reboot the anti theft system for that and the USB/screen controls to work. I was more than willing to tip the guy since I know they don't make much on batteries but after that experience, no. You don't just put a battery in...you need to reboot the system. Today was EXTREMELY disappointing and needless to say, I will go elsewhere from now on. Maybe give JJ a bit more training.
