Amazing place. Being newer to the area, I didn't know what to expect. Was thinking just a coffee or frape . But there was all kinds of great menu items. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, coffee, milkshakes, ice cream, etc. Lots of seating too both inside and out. Lots of customers but still open seats inside, on their deck, on the lawn, etc. ok Loved the panini style wrap. Delicious Grilled chicken, havarti cheese, toasted pecans & homemade fig jam grilled in a honey wheat wrap. It was warm, served like panini style. Only ate half and rest to go. (Looking forward to tomorrows lunch)I was taken a back too when asked if I wanted a small salad or chips! A salad too?!! I picked that n it was all baby greens and a really good light dressing ( nothing too strong or heavy tasting). Perfect! I also ordered a milk shake to go. That was good, not the best, but very filling. The service was very friendly. Though it did seem a bit of a long wait to get my order, but perhaps that was because I was alone. Great place to come for coffee but beware of crowds! I've come here a few times, and always been surprised at how crowded it is. I think until about 1pm it'll be packed with locals (even on weekdays) so it's not a great place to spend the day, because it's very loud. Large groups will have trouble finding a seat if this is the case. I've also come after 3 where it's a lot quieter and you can get some work done. If it's the morning and you're looking for a place to read or get things done then look elsewhere! I ordered the breakfast sandwich #2 with avocado and egg on a bagel. Great! Super tasty and flavorful, the bagel was very fresh and toasty. Also ordered the nitro bliss... Less great. I love Nitro but I feel like this was a lower quality brew along with trying to make it tasty with coconut. It ended up tasting like liquor because it was so thick and bitter. Really bummed about it! Pros: - Incredible variety, look at those menus! This has the hipster coffee shop availability of things along with a hometown charm feel. - Accepts cards/ATM inside - Self Serve drip coffee - alternative milks available (oat, coconut, soy, almond) - decor is awesome! Cons: - The quality of coffee is hit or miss. I think their drip coffee is great, but once you get closer to their special drinks, a lot of times they don't measure up. Im visiting PA to visit my family and have been going to coffee shops almost everyday. This one has to be one of my faves. The food is soo good. The sandwich bread is thick and fresh with a nice crust. I got a vegan burrito also very good from what Im used to. The matcha was eh but I think it's not a PA drink. Everyone enjoyed there drinks, lemon fog, mocha frap with added banana(very nice of them to add that), and honey vanilla latte DELIC. They have a wall with dog rescues (love). This is one of my favorite coffee and tea places in central Pennsylvania. They have a variety of baked goods, Fresh Soups and other foodstuffs for Grab & Go on hand, their coffee and tea varieties are able to cover all the majority of your flavor needs. The young staff is friendly although sometimes a bit distracted. One of the best things about Cornerstone is that they also have a teaching kitchen. If you sign up far in advance because they sell out, sign up for a cooking class. There are different themes and different courses available, and they are very popular so plan ahead. The coffee shop seems much smaller than it actually is, it keeps on going if you go back the hallway. This is a Hopping place to be at happy hour time, for those of us who don't drink but like to unwind after work. read more

I love this place! The food is delicious and the coffee is amazing. Be forewarned: they get really busy in the morning especially on the weekends around brunch time so go early and have someone in your party find a table while you're in line! All of the food that I've tried there I have loved, including the avocado toast, baked oatmeal, breakfast burritos, and pastries. They also have really amazing coffee and make great seasonal drinks as well -- some of my favs are Casper Cortado (around Halloween) and the Gingerbread Man (around Christmas). This is a neat cafe tucked in Camp Hill. I enjoy coming here to get work done. It is always bustling with activity, so it can be a bit hard to focus, but has a warm cafe atmosphere. I met a friend here for breakfast on Saturday! It's located on a cute street in Camp Hill. The business is surrounded by other small businesses in a quiet area. There's a small parking lot with a decent amount of spaces for patrons. I noticed as I walked in that there was a small outdoor seating area with umbrellas. There's also a decent amount of indoor seating available. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on seed toast. I opted to not include avocado, as I'm not huge fan of avocado for breakfast (please don't come after me lol). My friend ordered the avocado toast with a hard boiled egg and what looked like a drizzle of either hot sauce or sriracha. She also got an iced coffee, while I opted for a bottled drink. My meal came to about $9. We dined in and enjoyed ambience of the cafe. I was eyeing the baked goods behind the glass, and have my sights set on one of the iced oatmeal cookies for next time. This local place could be a gem if they would get the stick out of their butt. What COFFEEhouse refuses to give you complimentary refills on plain coffee. Like, really?! When we asked, they told us "you should order the large" (more money for them) - so that's our "refill?" Any diner, restaurant, and everything in between gives you a warmup on coffee. Unbelievable. My friend ordered the açaí bowl for $8.50, it was sorbet with a bit of fruit, and it was served in a small, CLEAR PLASTIC takeout container! We were both pretty shocked. How do you serve food to a sit-down customer in a carry out container. And we were given a table number so they knew we weren't doing takeout. Again, that is just inexcusable. I ordered chicken salad which was fresh and somewhat tasty, but on a very small bed of greens, two small slices of tomato- for $11.00. Served on a medium paper plate with plastic utensils, and not even crackers on the side. Portions aren't generous for the price. Too many boxes aren't checked- no coffee refills; plastic EVERYTHING; server brought our food and never once checked back, yet they still expect a tip up front when you use your credit card! As I said, it's too bad since the menu is varied with healthy and creative options, and the coffee and food are good. I think this is a management attitude issue- it's just not a place that seems interested in welcoming and accommodating the customer. They're interested in what works for them. read more

I have been coming to Cornerstone for about 6 years or so. It is nestled in a quaint town that may in some respects be a snapshot in time of simple life in the 70's but has a number of more contemporary surprises if you take the time to look. For the morning or lunch cafe hunter this place is a good catch. Simple but very accommodating seating allows them to quickly change a table for two into a four or six top table, each one with small lamp and flowers tastefully done. Many tables have access to a power outlet for your mobile charging needs. Staff has always been super friendly and knowledgeable. If you order a drink and food, wait for your drink and then take it to your table of choice along with the number that they will give you to place on your table and they will bring your order directly to you from the kitchen. Coffee and food my go to coffees are the honey vanilla latte and the caramel lovers latte. Breakfast sandwiches are truly tasty and this combine with a latte is a sure start to a great day. I was approached by the manager and told to put my food away as I was not allowed to have outside food or drink. I am a type one diabetic and knowing the nutritional info of my food is very important. They failed to provide nutrition information, and told me I had to pack up my food even though I had taken an insulin injection. The staff was very rude and condescending, I will not be coming back. I wanted to like it here more but sadly I was disappointed. Perhaps I need to try another time...or maybe a different choice of food. I came in for lunch and grabbed take out to bring back to the office. It was cozy inside yet bustling and I enjoyed that. They had a lot of yummy looking baked goods and assorted treats and coffees on display. I was excited. I asked one of the staff where I would go to pick up my take out and she told me to step aside and they'd call me. They then called me and said I needed to get in line to pay. Well the line was so long I would have gotten in line to start if I wasn't told to step aside and wait. So I waited - with my food - in line. Once I paid I headed back to work to eat. I got the tuna melt and the chicken rice soup with vegetables. The tuna was okay. Not that exciting or flavorful but edible. It has hard boiled egg in it which I enjoyed but my coworker didn't. She gave hers away. The soup was sooo bland. It was literally canned vegetables and maybe 2 chunks of chicken. Come to think of it maybe the soup was canned. It wasn't good: and I thought it said homemade. So while it wasn't the worst experience I've ever had, it wasn't good and for $10 I had hoped for a better lunch. I'll try again for something else and maybe dine inside because I love little places like this. But my first impression didn't impress. read more

I like to visit local coffee shops and cafes for breakfast. Went here on this Mothers Day weekend morning and it was difficult to find a parking spot. This is what I thought of my visit. Seating: There are tables and chairs inside but their appearance is worn down and shabby. People were moving around the chairs according to their requirement. The place was neat and clean but not particularly impressive looking. Service: Was slow. Food has to be ordered at the counter and they give you a number to display on your table and bring it to you. It took awhile to get just one sandwich which was also tiny. We got coffee too which is self serve . Coffee was decent. If you just want to grab coffee and go this is an ok place for that. The atmosphere inside is really nice and relaxed, and they also have a nice little deck out front if you'd prefer to be outside. I will vouch for the desserts in particular, the scones and peanut butter cup cookies are absolutely sinful. I mean amazing. I've been here twice passing by to go the farmers market, and can always count on a decent cup of coffee (but be warned, they go quite easy on the ice for iced drinks). Well, I guess I unintentionally found the local Saturday morning hangout spot. If true, then these people are smart. I needed my morning fix before hitting the road and Cornerstone Coffeehouse certainly delivered. First I decided on a Pumpkin Chai latte (gotta get all the pumpkin flavors in before they're gone) and then saw the iced cinnamon buns in the display case. Well, somebody had to eat it, especially after it was warmed up. Both were excellent. As I enjoyed my morning treat at a table near the window, I noticed the constant foot traffic coming and going by numerous locals kicking off the weekend by grabbing their morning coffee to-go or meeting up with friends at one of the numerous cafe tables. The morning rain kept everyone inside, but sitting at one of the outside tables during better weather would also be ideal. I can't believe I've lived in Central PA for nearly all my life and never tried Cornerstone until recently! I LOVE the fact that they offer seasonal menu items and often change out their specials! This makes me want to keep coming back! Some of my favorites are the soups (seriously any of them--they're all amazing!), the Harvest salad, and the quiche. My favorite drink so far has been the Skeleton brew orange soda with edible glitter that changed colors! As if the food and beverages aren't amazing enough, the customer service is excellent as well! The girl behind the counter has kind of befriended me and gives great recommendations! Their social media presence is on-point as well. I rely on their Instagram a lot to check out specials. Finally, you can tell they care about their community because they are always donating a portion of the proceeds to a good cause or promoting other local, small businesses! read more

While the coffee shop itself gets 3 stars from me due to its poor ambiance and crowded seating, Chef LaPorta's cooking class takes the cake and earns 6 stars, if it were applicable. On a Wednesday evening for a work outing, a group of 12 of us were so wonderfully accommodated. The chefs detailed instructions and humor made the whole evening a joy and we learned something! I took home a ton of tips and excellent recipes and I definitely left feeling full! Tips: 1) eat something small before you go because it takes about an hour before you get anything in your belly. 2) it's byob and sadly our group was unaware. 3) don't go if you have food allergies because everything is made and served family style and you will need to avoid a dish completely if it contains one of your allergens. 4) the class is not hands on, you do not cook, but you watch in awe as the chef prepares and enlightens! read more
