I called these guys a year ago. They were very reasonable and the plumbers that came to my door are/were first rate. Curteous and know what they are doing and very professional. As far as REASONABLE, that was for the first two visits. I recomended them to 3 neighbors, 2 of which called them. I recently told those neighbors of my recent experience so they will not be calling Big League again either. Please read on ======= Visit #3 and they now are ripping me off with exhorbitant prices. The crew CALLS THE OFFICE after the they asses the job THEN THE OFFICE makes the price. Last job took 20 minutes and I paid $700. A water pipe leak and hey cut into the dry wall and made a mistake as to where the leak was, so they had to cut a second time and found it. I now need to patch 2 dry wall holes AT MY EXPENSE instead of 1 hole. The previous job involved replacing an outdoor faucet. Something I could have easily done but I am a "senior" and jsut recovered from surgery. The job took 8 minutes and they charged $350 and they are 10 minutes away from my home. Thery don't care if you are a layal customer. I believe if you live in specific zip codes, they charge different prices. I will NOT CALL this business again, they appear to be crooks and want to get rich on my/your dime, so F em... asshole owners. It appears that if you live in San Pedro, as opposed to Palos Verdes, they may price work fairly which they did the first two times. No reflection on the plumbers though they are A+ but the management/owners must be turds. read more

Update from 5/16 I've had good experiences with Big League Plumbing in the past, but I was disappointed with how my most recent issue was handled. After paying $350 for a clog in the house, I had another backup just a week later. I was told the 30-day warranty didn't apply since the second clog was further down the line and the team had noticed roots there on the first visit. I asked for the warranty to be honored which was denied. Then when I asked questions about whether the original visit should have identified or addressed the root issue communication stopped, my last two emails and a phone call went unanswered. I still paid the $200 for the second visit because I had agreed to it, and to their credit, the team that came out was prompt and professional. They get 3 stars because the work was done well. The missing stars are due to the lack of communication. Even if company policy meant they couldn't adjust the charge, simply not responding isn't, in my opinion, how you treat a loyal customer. read more

Superior service! I was able to schedule a next day appointment for a difficult job, thanks to Julia. I had a 27-year-old undermount sink that suddenly got a small crack. It was in my powder room housed in an expensive granite topped antique cabinet. The job was complicated since removing the sink without compromising the granite or cabinet was paramount. Backyard was flooded after storm hit on Christmas Eve. The water already reached my wall and I was afraid my house was gonna get flooded. I have used Big League several times over the past several years from small projects to major water leaks. Today, Friday afternoon, my mother's kitchen faucet broke off at the base. I called Big League for her. They sent Lalo out to her home in under 30 minutes. He looked everything over and gave us a price to replace the faucet and install it. We agreed on the price. He went to the plumbing supply store, purchased a replacement faucet, installed it and cleaned up all around the sink area. Lalo did an awesome job all within a short time and on a Friday afternoon. In the first project, his crew installed a high-end vanity in our powder room. The crew was professional and communicated with me as they proceeded with the project.
