Sooooo this is a weird one. I want to give the front office and the tech who came out to my house 5 stars. Everyone I've interacted with at AC Plumbing, Heating, & AC has been very kind (esp. because they fit me in somewhat last minute). I needed a dryer hood vent replaced (creatures were getting in), and I was told that I should upgrade to a heavy-duty one versus the plastic, flimsy one we currently had. I agreed & was told I'd get an estimate in a bit. Now here's the thing - I was quoted $386. Not the biggest rip-off in the world, but it had me questioning. A heavy-duty vent hood that I'd need runs max at $60. So that means the labor was $326...for about an hr of work? Alas, I didn't want to get ahead of myself, so I called and asked for a breakdown of the estimate. The woman I spoke to was so lovely, but she told me they don't provide breakdowns. She said she'd pass along the message to the manager and someone would follow up. But I won't lie; the lack of transparency towards the pricing threw me off. No shame in the up-charge game, but nearly $400 for this job was enough to make me call in a few other places for quotes. Ended up finding a place that came out same-day and did it for $200 (part + labor) So yeah, it's a weird situation. Huge shoutout to everyone I spoke to and the actual technician. I just think the pricing policy could use a bit more honesty! read more

This is our second time using AC H&AC. We had their company install a complete HVAC system at our current house, and we've had them make repairs and tune-ups here. They were very professional, and both technicians wore shoe covers. They come in marked trucks, and blue uniforms with their company name and logo on them. All of the people that work at AC are friendly, responsive, and professional. We just had AC finish a complete HVAC system at my In Laws house. They were very accommodating to the many people who were investing in this job, and we appreciated their patience, and the many "Please call so-and-so for that question." AC was the cheapest of the 3 quotes that we received. We didn't go with them solely because they were the cheapest, but because we had used them before, we liked their professional company procedures (uniforms and marked trucks), and they worked with us on pricing and minor details. The job took the whole week, but it was mainly finished in 3.5 days. There was a minor mishap that caused the extra 1.5 days, but we understand that things happen. Overall, from start to finish, our family felt that AC was easy to work with. One of the main things that stood out to me when I went to the job site once, was that they covered everything! The floors, staircase, and everything was kept clean and tidy. The shoe coverings worn by the technicians when they first gave my MIL the estimate was a plus for her. It's a telling sign when companies respect the homes, and people, who live in them. The techs carry iPads to give you all of the information immediately. The office staff provides texts and calls with appointments and reminders. The team that came to do the install came in two marked trucks, and came consecutively each day - no days off in-between. Armando is pretty dishonest. He came over and saw me a disabled woman and really took advantage of me. I had problem with my AC unit. He went up on the roof and changed my capacitor without getting my OK first. He just changed the capacitor and came down and told me the cost was $311.89. He was here less than 20 minutes. I said just for changing a capacitor? The capacitor only costs $7.00 and he never thought in a million years that I knew how much a capacitor costs. He said well you pay us for our expertise. I am attaching a copy of his invoice. Notice how he doesn't separate parts and labor. I will not be using this company again and will let everyone in my complex know to watch out for him! They came out to diagnose a leak and they were completely wrong. They said l had a slab leak and needed a detection company. Not. If they knew what they were doing they would have seen my pipes are in the walls and ceiling. There aren't any in the foundation. I didn't have a pipe leak. The flap in my downstairs toilet needed to be replaced. Don't ever call these people for help. It's a waste of your time and money. read more

The pilot light on my mom's wall heater kept going out and one had to smack it to get it going once the pilot was lit. A different company came out and changed a generator (?) and with labor charged over $600. (AC said their company would probably charge only $400 for the same service). He was wanting to change another part but never gave an estimate for it or the install. My mom lost confidence in that company and we were referred to AC Plumbing Heating & A/C - Oh my, what a difference! They came out, inspected the heater, removed the entire front panel, found some of the wires were loose and not connected securely. They stripped the ends of the wires and re-capped them, gave the heater a thorough inspection - even went on the roof to inspect the flue. I had a clean water pipe burst below the house and I initially called another company and they said call us back after restoration company cleans up the pool of water. Just experienced another positive experience with this company. Had a problem with our toilet - - called and Henry appeared at our doorstep twenty minutes later. Quickly diagnosed the problem gave me a complete extremely reasonable estimate including replacement of the shufoff valve which had been leaking unbeknowst to me. I recently used them to Hydrojet my lines. They are very reliable and they explain things very well. It was an emergency...my plumbing was backing up because the roots from the City's tree were in my pipes. The only way to clear the pipes was to hydrojet. They came out within 24 hours. I had a German made shower fixture that was constantly leaking, and the dial knob to adjust the temperature was difficult to adjust. The first plumber that took a look at it and was immediately intimidated by the job because he knew it would be a challenge to handle a German fixture. He told me that there will "complications" to replace the valve and cartridge--and needless to say, refused to do the job. I called a second plumber, Eddie from AC Plumbing, and he immediately knew what to do and took on the job. He was able to research the replacement parts that will fit the existing fixture. When he came to perform the job, it was a cinch for him. It did not take long at all. He was quick, knowledgeable, and took necessary precautions so that there will not be any complications. His price was also very affordable. I appreciate his knowledge, professionalism, and the care and respect he demonstrated in my house (i.e., wearing a mask and making sure his shoes were covered.) I called AC Plumbing and Heating and they were out within a day to take a look. They were straightforward and honest. Pricing was pretty competitive as well. They will show you pictures of the issues, so you can see what is going on. After that, they broke down my options with quotes and everything. I ended up opting for the AC/Heater replacement as my unit was already 14 years old and nearing its life. Especially with the work from home, I had it running every day for the past few months. One of my biggest pet peeves of having work done on the house is the cleanup after. I did not have to worry at all with AC! They always wore shoe coverings before coming in and lined the path to the AC and heating unit with butcher paper and tarp. I don't write reviews on Yelp that often BUT I felt compelled to write a review for this company and their employee Salvador. I have used AC Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning located in Harbor City twice. Both experiences went very well. The employee Salvador fixed my air conditioner system with no issues and the AC has been working perfectly since then. About 4-5 years ago my air conditioner (old ac system approximately 20+ years old) stopped working. I called this AC Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioner company and Salvador was the employee that showed up and changed the capacitor (originally I wrote reciprocator and I edited the word) I think it's called. Very good company with good staff like Salvador. They are not pushy and they are trustworthy. I had a separate company named Cloud Comfort come by before and they attached a "sensor" to the AC and told me it's not fixable and I needed a new AC which would cost 10-15 thousand dollars. They said the compressor was broken and no coolant was in the ac which were both untrue. Cloud Comfort said there must have been a leak in the AC system and the whole thing needed to be replaced. I am glad I called AC Heating and AC for a second opinion. I would suggest calling this company for your HVAC needs. You won't regret it! read more
