Response to the owner: Btw, apartment isn't commercial building, but yes I did find another company who had full liability insurance for working on apartments and 3X cheaper. I even mentioned I have hot water shutoff within the apartment. And please see the exact wording of your quote, no mentioning on 'replacing the whole thing' at all. Reached out to them one afternoon and they were able to get out the very next day. Easy to communicate with and coordinate arrival. They provided a two hour time block and narrowed it down as they were able to more accurately provide arrival time. Awesome that they promote being pet friendly, though they don't promote being child friendly haha.. made me wish I had a pet so they could be friendly to it. They showed up at the arranged time and no creep factor at all. Christian and his partner were courteous without being intrusive. Sad that it seems so rare to get any kind of in-home service without the concern of being unsafe. They took about 15-20 min to evaluate all of the things we needed and provided estimates for repair or replacement for each. They don't have a showroom but they described the replacement products to us and Christian went to retrieve them while his partner worked on removing and prepping everything at the house. Within hours we had replaced everything and it's been groovy ever since! There's a 50$ inspection fee pre-payment that can get credited towards any service that you proceed with. The repairs and replacement estimates didn't seem unreasonable. Now I can go back to doing dishes without worrying about anything. Woohoo. read more

Last year I purchased a condo in the south part of Pasadena and I redid my kitchen completely. I noticed the kitchen sink cabinet was showing some egregious leaks even though everything was new!!! It seemed that my leak occurred anytime we were cleaning up the dishes and when the dishwasher had been run. I called Pipe Bros after reading a ton of comments and reviews on Yelp for Licensed and Bonded Plumbers with 50+ public reviews. Titus was dispatched today promptly during my quoted arrival and service time. Wow! I am so impressed with the service. I thought my dishwasher was leaking but Titus diagnosed a leak from my exhaust port never having been sealed properly by my kitchen contractor. Also, a long term problem was diagnosed and prevented. My kitchen contractor had apparently done a really poor job installing my new sink and dish washer, particularly how the pipes were complicated and likely to cause blockage later on. Titus was able to within the service window completely revamp my kitchen sink piping and even refurbish the joint connected to my pipes inside the drywall. A very pleasant service man came to fix a leaky problem toilet in my garage. The solution was a piece of wood to prop up the tank. So...Ok. The service man came in to the house to write up the invoice and while he was inside I asked him about my bathroom faucet. The cold turned in a direction that was surprising to me. He explained that if it were a regular handle and not the one I had it would seem natural. This made sense to me, but we noticed the handle was loose while we were examining it and I asked if he could make it tighter. He did, and it took all of 45 seconds. He then sat in my living room and wrote up the invoice. I was very surprised at the price but that's because I am cash poor. Haha! (love rich) He charged me $75 just to tighten the sink! I would have liked it, if he told me how many beans it was going to be at the time because it seemed like something I probably would have done myself eventually. He told me I could write a review for a discount. I don't think I would ever normally come here to mention my experience because it was really very normal and not particularly noteworthy. But since you asked... also I'm sorry I am a day late! UPDATE: I received a call from a supervisor one day after my review was posted and he told me he had noticed my review and wanted to make things right. I wasn't particularly in need of this. I only posted the review because they had insisted on it. He assured me that the service men are supposed to quote a price before working and he offered to refund the $75 charge for tightening the bathroom faucet handle. I thought this was very fair. He encouraged me to delete or edit my review in accordance with this refund. I have added a star because if I was quoted the price at the time, I would have been much happier. read more

Yesterday, I had problems connecting with this company and wrote a negative review. The communication problem was like something out of the Twilight Zone. Somehow, my call to Pipe Brothers was received by Rescue Rooter. This caused all kinds of confusion, with multiple calls telling me someone would be out between 2 and 4 p.m. another that someone would be out between 4 and 6 and, finally, a call from Rescue Rooter that they couldn't make that evening. Today, as promised by Pipe Brothers, one of their technicians, Dave came out and patiently dealt with a seeming minor job that became a major job. Absolutely Fantastic. Very pleased...appt. the same day. When I called I was told "we are pretty full", my heart sunk because I thought I'd have to wait a day or more. Nope...I called around 10 am and was told they would have someone here between 1 and 3. Titus got here at 1:10. We have a Jacuzzi tub/shower/steam... access to the leak was easy but I thought we had one leak...we actually had three. He fixed two and found the third..there is a small crack in a filter (has been there for at least 5 years) and he found it. Nobody else found it, Titus did. When I hunt down this filter (tub is 17 years old )I will be calling and asking for Titus to come out and replace it. It took much longer than he probably anticipated and still only charged what he quoted. Outstanding service, from my initial phone call till the minute Titus walked out the door. I had a leaking water heater and received a recommendation from a friend to have Pipe Bros come out to take a look. This was after I had another plumber come out and tell me that it would cost $1600 to replace my water heater because they had to bring it to code (mind you I live in a unit that was built in 2007) and it was an upstairs unit. Pipe Bros told me the leak was from the drain valve and the tank didn't need to replaced, though they did give me the option if I decided to replace it. They replaced the valve for a very reasonable price and the leak is gone. This was several months ago and still no leak. I appreciated their honesty and quick service. read more

This review is a little overdue but well deserved. We had a crack in our pipes and needed some plumbing done. It was a long weekend and I was calling around asking for anyone to show up and help. I posted a status on social media, and a friend referred me to pipe bros. I was so trilled with their service and ability to come out an take care of business on a long weekend. We were having a BBQ and well, we needed our plumbing to work for our guests. The owner is this nice guy who came out and gave me an estimate and asked how I heard of their company. I told him a friend referred me and to my surprise, he was so trilled about the word of mouth advertising that he slapped off a few dollars to help with my cost of repairs. The work got done just like he said it would and within the estimate. I hate when people give you an estimate and go way over budget/time. The guy was so nice that I even invited him and his wife to my BBQ (they had other plans)! Why 5 stars? I am so impressed with the guy who came out today. Over a year ago we had another plumber come and pipe bros was able to show me the hacky short cuts this guy took and then fixed them. He properly replaced the pipe that was leaking, he caulked the counter and sink where water was leaking and causing the wood to rot, and he used metal pieces to strengthen the wood areas and keep our faucet stable. He was quick, efficient, clean, and very respectful. We will definitely call pipe pros for any future plumbing issues. read more
