I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. I was very happy with the purchased, told them that I would like to be in & out quickly as possible. With a test drive, about an hour. The longest thing that took was the finance, waiting on the bank for approval (out of thier control). Looking at some of the other rediculous 1-star reviews, I want to say that I got the advertised price, as another review said, thier interest rate was high, and mis-leading. Must be a first time buyer, dealership advertised price has nothing to do with your personal loan (dealership might help you get a loan, but that is from a different party). I bought a USED vehicle, so I EXPECT there to be somethings wrong, scratches, etc. I went in PERSON to expect the vehicle, as in another review, the guy had the vehicle delivered to him and he wasn't happy of the condition of the USED vehicle...ITS USED. Yea, might be nice if the washed it, double check the lights and all, but it is on ME for being too lazy to pick up the vehicle or my fault that I don't have the time due to work or other reasons. ITS A USED VEHCILE. Eventhough they should disclosed if the plates were out of state, I PERSONALLY checked the status of the plates, and I DOUBLE checked the VIN number because I am NOT LAZY to check things. It is easy for a sales person to forgot to mention something, or to pull the paperwork on the wrong vehicle. I am not LAZY and CARELESS, I checked all the paper worked and used my mouth to asked questions. Otherwise, please read the other negetive reviews carefully. Also want to say, in this part of the state, nobody really writes reviews, and I can tell this places doesn't care about reviews because of thier local reputation. In all, just read the 1 star reviews with and use common sense about the review. My sales rep was Marty, and I appreaciate the owner for approving the finance person to go ahead with my paperwork while waiting on my bank to approve the loan. read more

It was not disclosed to me that this was an out of state title, not to mention they didn't even begin the transfer until July 2025. The Corning Ford Service Department is phenomenal! I was up North on the Shoe Fire and my truck displayed a check engine light. I had the incident mechanic scan the computer and he determined that the truck needed to be diagnosed by Ford. I called the Ford Dealership in Redding and they were unable to see me. I then took a chance and called Corning Ford. I was met with open arms by Skee (one of the Service Writers). Skee told me to bring my truck to him and they would figure it out. So, I drove 88 miles and had Corning Ford evaluate and diagnose my vehicle. Skee met back up with me and told me step by step what needed to be done to repair my vehicle. Additionally, he once again went above and beyond by have Sheron (a sweet 76 year old woman that reminded me of my Mom) drive me and my belongings to Redding so I could pick up a rental truck and get back to the fire. Skee kept me informed throughout the repair phase. Once again, Skee went above and beyond by having Cody pick me up at the Enterprise Truck Center in Redding and bring me back to Corning Ford where I would pick up my repaired vehicle. My car was having issues so I called Corning Ford--the dealership I bought it from--to make an appointment to have it serviced. The soonest they could get me in was three weeks out. Then I arrive for my appointment and was told that I was not in their system. I waited for five and a half hours, ignored, in their lobby while other people--who's appointments were not lost--were offered rides to lunch. When they finally did acknowledge me, it was to tell me to go home because the part they needed for my car would be covered under warranty and they could overnight it. So I pay for an uber home, only for them to call me as soon as I reached my front door to say: just kidding! It's not covered under warranty, it will cost $1.5k, AND the part will take a week to come in. I was stranded without my car, and without a way to get that evening because this phone call came right before they closed up shop for the day. Furthermore, when I was trying to get them to explain exactly why it was not covered under warranty when it should be, no one was very forthcoming with the answers; because the truth is that the service center and Ford as a whole were playing fast and loose with the grey area in the warranty. They're not covering it simply because they don't want to. Quite frankly after this experience I am turned off of Ford vehicles entirely. My next car will be a Subaru. read more

I've had two dealings with Corning Ford sales - both with the same salesman. I first leased my truck with Ford and Todd Hughes was the person who helped me. Lease prices are intentionally vague, so I can't tell you what kind of deal I really got there. I can say that the cap cost was higher than what I was quoted before coming out. Ford, in what turns out to be a typically slimy move, requires you to visit a Ford dealer if you wish to buy out your lease. I did. I not only wanted to buy out the lease, I wanted an extended warranty and a service on the vehicle. Ford may be slimy in forcing the buyer back into the dealership but here's where Corning Ford (Benny Brown owns this and Oroville Ford) and Todd Hughes cover themselves in slime right along with them. The reason Ford wants you to return to the dealership is so they can sell you your own car. Right. Not do the paperwork as stated, but to give the dealership the opportunity to rip you off again. Read that again - Ford makes you go to the dealership to buy your own vehicle. Ford does give you a payoff amount and, to my detriment, I did not check it that morning. Never forget this step. Before going to Corning, I'd spoken with Todd. He gave me a price for the extended warranty. He said he would check on the price for the service I wanted. Upon arriving (50 miles from my home), Todd took a credit application, then brought in the familiar 'worksheet'. On it, he'd written "customer payoff". This figure was a lie. They'd inflated my payoff - the one I'd forgotten to check - by $500. On my truck. The one they'd already leased me. He left to get paperwork started. I went to service to get a price on the work I wanted done. Anywhere but the dealership, the work was around $400. They quoted me $900. Then, after giving me a price before I left home on the warranty, I was told it was $500 more. I reminded Todd of the figure he'd told me at home. It dropped $300, but was still $200 higher than promised. So, $500 more for the payoff, inflated service of $500, another attempted $500 on the warranty. To buy the truck I'd been paying on for 2 years. Ford forces you to deal with this. My call to Ford following the incident was predictable - they laughed. After all, it was my fault. I should have had the numbers before I went. I just assumed they were doing the work because Ford made them - not to rob me a second time. read more

I bought a truck from Corning Ford and I'm still having/had a horrible experience. So first let's start from the beginning. Me and my family were in the 2018 Camp fire and lost everything we ever had. We finally found a house months afterwards and was able to get my fiancé a reliable car due to her Dodge being in the actual fire and being damaged. Shortly after that we gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. After my daughter was born I managed to save up for a new truck. 2/26/21 is when I made first contact with Corning Ford and shortly there after, 3/10/21, had a truck picked out and they ran my credit. A nice 2018 ecoboost f150. However, they told me something was wrong with it and gave it back to auction. We continued to search for a truck because my credit had already been ran and we started looking at a very nice 2018 f-150 V8, but it had a shattered moonroof. Holes through the glass, they said they didn't know the story but it was bad. 3/17/21 it finally shows up. 3/21/21 the moonroof came in. Keep in mind they haven't asked another question about my credit or paystubs or nothing. 3/23/21 I come in and get the paper work done, sell them my expedition, though I still got to drive it because the F-150 wasn't ready. I get home that day and start sending them 2 of my best looking pay stubs and insurance information because that's what they wanted. I didn't have that stuff on me because I'm new to this process and just didn't know . I sent them everything they asked for. Still no issues with my credit or pay stubs. Finally the day of, 3/30/21, and I was extremely excited. I declined a test drive because I had just gotten off a 12.5 overnight shift at the hospital and was very tired. However, the remote start system wouldn't work so they took the truck back 3 different times to no avail. We agreed to come back some other day and that they'll take care of it for free. The same day, 3/30/21 they call with issues about my pay stubs. So I downloaded an app that day and sent them screenshots. 3/31/21 I get a call real early in the morning, it's a manager of some sort, Pete. He told me my pay stubs are an issue and want the 3 most recent ones. He told me word for word over the phone, "f this didn't get cleared up I wouldn't have a truck" So I asked," why do I even have the truck then?". He said, "because I didn't know about it". So now I'm shaking like a leaf, scared out of mind. What if this doesn't work out and they want the F-150 back. Would my credit be wipeout, would I even have a vehicle to drive?! What about getting to work and taking care of my daughter. I send the three most recent ones to Cade, the fella that's been selling me the truck because I didn't have Pete's info. I told Cade, I'd much rather deal with Pete or literally anyone that had more experience and could be more clear to me and tell me what they need. Never herd back, must be cleared up, who knows. Then I get on Facebook and see Corning Ford had made a post about my old Expedition. They clearly didn't like it and put quotations around a sentence that I never said. I was very upfront about the expedition. They also had their own opinion about it that they shared which made me feel embarrassed and made even more uneasy about F-150. They bought it sight unseen, but Cade took my keys and did look at the expedition on 3/23/21 when I did the paper work. They didn't say anything then. So as of today, 4/1/21 I'm still unsure if "they" are happy with my credit and stubs and have a tremendous feeling of anxiousness and anxiety. What if they want the F-150 back? So as a first time buyer, this has been a horrible experience. I'd never recommend Corning Ford and dread having to deal with them in the future. To be clear, I currently have the F-150... for now. One star only due to the fact that 0 is not an option. Avoid Corning Ford at all costs! They are not equipped to operate as a Service Dealer. They will leave you truck outside in the rain with your air conditioning and transmission cooler lines uncovered. They will pile your engine parts inside of your cab and then wonder why your upset. Removal of your engine and leave it on a used tire. No problem here.Then when you ask for upper management they will refuse. They will find damage to your air conditioning and then reassemble it without making repairs. I guess they assume that most people will not know the difference. Ask the manager Bill Neaton, this is acceptable because "your hood was shut wasn't it?" These are among many of the standard operating procedures at this "dealer" Let everyone you know to avoid this dealership or should I say lack of dealership. I manage a Service Department and I can say that this is by far the worst Service Department I have ever seen. If you proceed to do business here after reading this you are asking for any problems that may arise from your visit. My offer still stands to assist them in removal of the Ford sign they do not deserve. 11/28/16 still no contact from a general manger or Ford district service manager. I just recently purchased a 2015 Ford F-250 super duty lariet. Thank God I purchased the extended warranty! About 1 month after my purchase it (not even 400 miles later) the back up camera went out! Then 1 week later it started leaking coolant, then after I got on the ground to inspect where it was leaking I noticed oil leaking from the front differential! What I don't get is they said they inspected it thoroughly before me purchasing it which is a crock of CRAP cause the leak alone is old! So I brought it in on Thursday 12-17-20 and it's Monday 12-21-20 no call or any updates in fact I had to call Saturday to see what the deal was!! The service manager said "we fixed and resealed the front differential but are waiting on the hose"! I hope when I get it back it's fixed cause I have pictures to prove of the leaks! I %100 DO NOT recommend Corning Ford cause they don't inspect used vehicles like they say they do and again thank God I have the extended warranty otherwise I'd be pay out the ass for all this work after spending $51,000 on a piece of shit LEMON truck! There were two people at the service desk and no customers besides me. I had 4 other Ford associates walk past me and not a single one made eye contact or even said hello. I finally get them to acknowledge that I'm there. They seem so annoyed that I would have the nerve to ask how longs the wait for an oil change. The guy tells me 1.5 hrs then goes back to working on whatever it was he was doing on his computer. I stand there another 5 minutes and no one offers to write the service ticket or anything. If Ford does another round of dealership closures I hope this dealer is at the top of their list as this dealer could care less if they gain another customer. They had 2 people checking in the customers which made the process quick. There is a nice waiting area with chairs and couches. Our brand new (9000 miles total) Ford's transmission blew while on a cross country trip, we made it to Corning Ford who assured "emergency shipping" of a new one. 2 weeks later we were still stuck with no new transmission, no explanation, and a ton of attitude. They had a sign that said "Live Aloha" outside their manager's office, but they provided no aloha. Good luck to people like this. Update: No Francis, I'm not mistaken about the location whatsoever. I spent 2 weeks, about $7,000 of lost income STUCK while our van was on the lift. Warranty Transmission issue, horrible attitude from both your service department and staff. This was 100% Corning, CA Ford and the "live aloha" sign was a sticker on a managers door. He said he was married to a Hawaiian woman, hence the sticker. I have to tell you, Corning Ford has the best Service Department EVER! We used to live in the Redding California area and have relatives in Red Bluff we came to visit. Our Mini-Van (Toyota [not Ford]) broke down on a Friday afternoon at 10 minutes to 5:00pm, Serpentine Belt broke and shut the van down! Great, on the road a thousand miles from home with a broken Mini-Van on a Friday night and don't know who to trust. Called Corning Ford by recommendation by family, called them at 4:50pm and spoke to Brad, Service Advisor and explained to him what's up. He connected me to his Parts Department and they got right on it and said the belt will be in, in the morning, Saturday, and transferred me back to Brad to schedule, he said come in around 10:00am and he'll get me in, Boda-bing, Boda-boing! Saturday morning, I had the van towed in, Brad got right on it and within a little over an hour I was driving out as good as new, happy as a clam. They also did the typical "Inspection Report" and all checked out perfect, no scamming on the "Inspection Report" that you hear so much bad about... I cannot say enough about Corning Ford as I am sure they run their whole business in an honest, stress-free way. I am 64 years old and can say that this is one of, if not the best, Service Department I have ever dealt with, hands down!
