It wa super busy, loud, and fairly packed, and seems to be a local favorite with many regulars eating there. That being said, we were seated pretty quickly. For drinks, we decided to try the Lulo and Burojo. The Repollina was absolutely delicious! It's a mix of chicharron, chorizo, shrimp, and shredded pork served on fried green plantains. Everything was well seasoned and well made, especially the shredded pork, which was tender and juicy. It was a very generous portion for the price. The Lomo de Cerdo was so good! The pork was well seasoned and cooked, and wasn't tough to cut through. It was juicy enough and I enjoy it with the beans and rice. This was also a really generous portion and filled up my entire plate. The Arepa Combinacion was also really good and was a very generous portion. I wish the chicharron wasn't as oily but it was still really tasty. I loved the Lulo, which tastes like passionfruit mixed with citrus. It was a very unique flavor that's tart but also sweet. This is a mainstay of Little Colombia. Been around for ages, at least since the 90s when I was in my 20s needing to eat (and wanting to eat well) late at night after partying. Today I ordered 3 bandejas paisas and the food had absolutely no salt, no flavor, like a gringo made mi bandeja. All week waiting for my cheat day to have my bandeja paisa with my Colombian rice con carne molida and I got Chinese rice with something that looked like meat. Before I left the bad review I called them to see if they would make it right. And the cara de chimba manager said there is a new law limiting how much seasoning and sodium could be used in food. This place has done a 180 in the past years. Service is terrible, food is gross and waitresses are deformed. This is not a good representation of Colombian dining. I've been a regular customer here, first of all, the food is great, but the last time I came here the waitress who took out order was extremely rude, she even yelled at us. Compared the Mario, Cositas Ricas' steak was cooked better and had more flavor. It was still cooked to a well-done, but at least it wasn't mealy to eat. Still not a great steak. But for the price, it's hard to be too upset about that. There was a large serving of beans, which was really good at first because they were simultaneously sweet and savory. But it soon became too salty. I started eating it with the steak to give the steak a bit more flavor, but by itself it was very overly seasoned. This is what brought them to three stars from the four I was going to give them after tasting the steak. The avocado slices were fresh, the arepa with cheese as well as the rice were standard. Cositas has the best authentic Colombian cuisine, and they are my favorite for breakfast. I give them 5 stars because the food is just so good and you get a lot for the price. The tostones are my favorite side dish, and the arepa con queso and scrambled eggs are the perfect breakfast combination. For dinner I always get a chicken dish, with the mushroom sauce or shrimp sauce and a big side of white rice. The meal is so large you'll either take some to go or leave stuffed. They have so much to choose from, practically every type of meat you could want. Milo frio is a really good side drink (I take mine cold) that is chocolaty and the consistency of a milkshake almost. They have a lot of fruit juices to choose from that are blended and made with milk or water. They have typical Colombian coffee that's pretty good for breakfast too. The atmosphere is unique; neon lights everywhere and it almost reminds me of a play set or something. My favorite part of Cositas is how it makes me feel like I'm in Colombia getting served a traditional delicious Colombian meal. I go here at least once a week! read more

Located right on the corner under the 7 train, this place always taunted me as I walked by with their patron's big, delicious looking dishes. This Colombian joint is a bakery, restaurant and bar area combined. The first meal that I took part here was a nice plate of salchipapas for breakfast.
