Was excited to try this place for a while. Was in town and finally got the chance to stop by in the afternoon. Was initially impressed by the online ordering feature and noticing the four lanes, until I sat and watched for a while before entering the line. I noticed cars were in the ordering lanes for an unnecessarily long time. Once we finally entered a lane, we were instructed to wait before they would come back to us. We waited a good 15 minutes and all the cars in other lanes passed us, as well as other cars behind them. I think they forgot about us because they never came back to take our order. We finally moved to another lane because I was tired of waiting 20 minutes for a few flavored fountain drinks. Once we pulled up to the new lane, they magically took our order right away. Very strange ordering process and I can't say that the wait is worth it, sadly. The drinks were fine, but I don't think I will be coming back. read more

I was the third car in the drive-through lane and it took about 20 minutes to get to the order terminal and about five more minutes to get my food. Most of my selections were based on other yelp reviews. S'mores cold brew - it had a very odd taste to it. I would give that about a 2 out of 10. Creamy, avocado, tomatillo sandwich the bread was good. The egg was good. The bacon was kind of sparse and the sauce was decent, but there was hardly any on it, so it made for a very dry sandwich overall 5 out of 10. The seasoned hash browns we're just OK I would say McDonald's regular hashbrowns are better and comparatively Dunkin' Donuts seasoned hashbrowns are way better. I would give this a 6 out of 10. The highlight for me were the McPops -their version of donut holes. I got the cookie butter ones and those were pretty good 9 out of 10. Unfortunately, that is not enough for me to ever waste my time in a drive-through that long again. read more

Finally I stopped by to try it out and see what was all this hype about. This place is only drive thru and there's no entrance inside or bathrooms. You drive up too one of the five drive thru menus and they take your order. If they don't answer you press the button below the credit card machine. The menu is pretty huge and lots to choose from. If you use the app you can see that you can customize and get bigger size drinks. The menu for the drinks at the drive thru only states medium. We ordered the popping pear slush and it was very good but next time I'm going to order it online and instead of pear flavor I'm choosing peach. We also got a churro cold brew frappe and it was delicious. Next we got the iced chai tea latte and I didn't like it but my wife did. It was a very strong tasting and you get hot with this floral taste. This would be a perfect drink when you want to wake up a sip of this and it has your face turning. We got the spicy queso sandwich and it was good and the spicy queso sauce is the only reason it was good. I also got the creamy avocado tomatillo sandwich and it was good but the tomatillo sauce is a bit sour. The savory hash browns we got were burnt and hard as a rock horrible and there's only four or five of them in the order. The pretzel bites with the spicy queso was my favorite out of everything. The mixed bag mcpops was good my favorite where the apple cinnamon one and the mcpop was super soft. The hazelnut mcpop was also good but the cookie butter mcpop was not that great tasting also it didn't help that the filling size is very little and you only get three mcpops in an order. First of all it's drive thru only and the line was so long. Not only was it long, it was moving extremely slow. You'd think after waiting for so long that the drinks would be fresh but no. The slushie was melted the majority of the way and was basically just juice. I should have just got a McFlurry or an ice cream cone but who knows maybe that would have been melted as well. And to add on top of all that, my only friend in the group we went with that finished her drink, got a bad stomach ache afterwards. Our first visit and honestly when I read the reviews I wasn't quite sure how it was going to go. It went way better than I thought it would go. First off, we arrived at 9:15 am on a Wednesday, there was only 1 other car in the 4 lane drive thru. We placed our order: 2 small Chai Frappe Burst, 1 Spicy Queso Sandwich, 1 traditional egg McMuffin, 1 order of the Savory Hash brown Bites with the herbed ranch dipping sauce, 1 order of the Mixed bag McPops for a grand total of $27 and some change. You pay at the ordering kiosk, they take credit card and Apple Pay. You also wait at the kiosk and the menu board will tell you what window to go and pick your food ip at. We waited less than 5 minutes till we had to pick up our food, and in that time only one other car had pulled in. The girl at the pick up window was super nice and friendly. The outside of the building was rather cool looking, and hey if nothing on their menu suits you, they have a McDonald's right next door!! So now the food: The Chai Frappe Burst: 5/5. Delicious, not overly sweet and the boba were quite delicious!! Spicy Queso Sandwich: 5/5. I quite enjoyed it, it was terribly spicy, which for me was perfect. It was hot and the crispy jalapeños chips were perfect. Savory Hash brown bites with herbed ranch: 5/5. They were hot and crispy. There's only 4 that come in an order. I loved the herbed ranch dipping sauce. Mixed Bag McPops: 5/5. THESE ARE THE BEST THINGS! Wish they served them warm. Definitely a MUST TRY!!! So in review, would we come back? The line was pretty long but that's the nature of the beast. The coffees were rough, would never get again. We got an iced caramel latte and it was one of the worst coffees I've ever had. We also got a hot latte and it was bad but not as bad. The espresso is not high quality, on par with a fast food latte. The food on the other hand was quite good. Food was good but they forgot my sauce and I was the only person in line. The drive- thru only, Pay at the screen is weird. You have to wait until they tell you to pull up. Even though if it was normal you would still have to wait in line but moving up makes it seem not as long of a wait. I sat across the lot and ate for about 45 mins and I saw 1 car go through. Outside of special drinks, there are only a couple items different than the McDonalds next door, and the service is way quicker. This should have been a pop-up idea, not a brick n mortar! read more

Their system has you wait at the ordering screen until your food is ready. Then you are instructed to move forward to a window to collect your food. The half lemonade/half tea tasted like stale water with lemon. There was no pulp. No tea flavor. Chick-Fil- A's version is much better. While ok, the chai frappe would be better described as a cinnamon bubble tea. The ginger blueberry drink had an intense ginger flavor. It was sickeningly sweet. Passed by this place the other day and decided to check it out. Got the chai boba drink which was not the drink I wanted and I hated it but I panicked when ordering (ugh)..... The chai taste was good but the boba balls were gross!!! I also had the tomatillo sandwich. It was very different and I liked it but it was small so for those with a bigger appetite, you may not like it. I would say know beforehand what you may want to try because it can be overwhelming when you first pull up to the drive through ordering system! I happened to be driving by and the wait did not look to be very long so I figured I want to try a couple of drinks and maybe the sandwiches OK let's start with the drinks both of them that I got were horrible and I've never tasted worse drinks in my life!! Literally disgusting I got a lemonade drink and a coconut banana drink or something and I couldn't even take more than a sip of either one of them. The queso sandwich was pretty decent although it does have a kick to it. The other sandwich was the avocado sandwich it was just OK. The hash brown bites are really good. We saw this on a YouTube video and decided we had to try it. Thankfully we are in Chicago and headed home to St Louis the next day. It's a perfect stopping point for a drink. It's an interesting concept given that you order then wait at the ordering place then when you're food is ready you go up to the window and get you're food. It is only drive thru, but the guy taking our order was helpful and patient. We got two drinks and 3 food items and it came out to $22, so similar to Starbucks. The Chai Frappe Burst wasn't very chai flavored, to me it tasted only of vanilla. I lived the popping boba in it though. The boba were slightly cinnamon sweet. I wanted more boba!! The Berry Hibiscus Sour-Ade was like a flavored lemonade, it was good. The Hazelnut McPops were like doughnut holes filled with chocolate hazelnut spread, very good. The Ice cream was similar to McDonalds ice cream. Finally we had a Blueberry Lemon Cookie. I ate that the next day, so it was hard (my fault), but it was so flavorful. I would definitely go again on my way to Chicago. I hope the concept takes off and they open more stores in other places. read more

I drove from the city out to CosMcs for a little adventure! It wasn't NOT worth it, but it also isn't something I feel like I ever need to do again. The drive-thru, which is efficiently run due to the traffic cop that was there, was SUPER LONG. We waited for 35 minutes at least...just chillin... I got the hot tumeric latte. It was very good but had a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. I think because it's made with tumeric syrup rather than powder, so it's syrupy sweet in a way I wish was slightly toned down... I didn't get any of the savory foods because it was 3pm and all they had was a limited amount of breakfast foods but I did try the McPops! I would rank them from worst to best as Apple, Nutella, Cookie Butter, but they are all good! I wish more came in each bag (you only get 3) and I wish they were warm, but the flavor was good! I also had the dragon spice lemonade or whatever it's called. It was pretty and sweet, but nothing to write home about. Pretty much sums up the whole place. Also: there is no inside, only drive thru, so make sure to go to the bathroom before you leave the house! read more

Went here opening weekend. Tried the s'mores cold brew, all the pastries, the churro frappe,blackberry mint green tea, mixed bag of mcpops, both breakfast sandos, and the island pick me up punch. When ordering the cold brew, I asked for half and half and the person taking my order had zero idea what that was. Even describing it was almost like I was speaking it a foreign language. They asked me if I wanted half cold brew and half something else so I just said I'd take the drink as is. It was a struggle for sure. BTW, it was not great. The pastries were all decent. The brownie and the sandwiches were probably the best things we had. The island punch was a whole weird experience. Personally, I would never drink it again. The taste is so hard to describe but I would liken it to cough syrup and sour patch kids mixed together. The blackberry green tea was really good. Kind of wish I would have gotten a larger size. I'm sure part of it was how busy things were but it's really hard to believe it took us 5.5 hours (we were told 1.5 hours when we got in line, which was insane as it was). The drive thru is not efficient in the slightest. They have several windows to pick up but only allow one car at a time. I wouldn't even remotely say this was worth the wait. This place is not for me. Even though my family likes most of what they sell. We can continue getting these items elsewhere. Without the aggravation and insults. There is not much difference in terms of food products compared to other places. In fact, some places have better sandwiches. My biggest disappointment is the manner in which they provide customer service. I will not elaborate too much because I do not wish to help the arrogant people running it. They are new. I understand that. But they fail miserably in being engaged with the customer and keeping the customer updated if things do not work. Then you are instructed to wait some more in front of the kiosk until they tell you to pull to the window. We got Hazelnut McPops (donuts with Nutella filling) and hot mocha. Got to the window and we were handed iced mocha. Staff graciously offered to remake the hot mocha, but we did not want to wait any longer so we said the iced one was fine. I tried the blueberry ginger lemonade, both breakfast sandwiches & the Mcpops. I waited 3 hours for everything on opening weekend. Overall, the lemonade was delicious and the Mcpops are probably the best thing on the menu. The breakfast sandwiches aren't the best quality, the egg is flavorless but that's what to expect from "McDonald's". Went a few days after the grand opening at around 9 a.m. and waited in line for about 40 minutes, but obviously the wait time is going to be extraordinary considering the hype. There are four drive-thru lines (it is drive-thru only), and the employees were extremely friendly. On par with the friendliness you might experience at a Chick-fil-a. For food, we ordered the variety of McPops (hazelnut, apple cinnamon, and cookie butter), a spicy queso sandwich, a creamy avocado tomatillo sandwich, hashbrowns, and pretzel bites. For the drinks, we ordered a turmeric spiced latte, a churro frappe, a popping pear slush, and a sour cherry energy burst. The average price for each item we ordered was about $4.70. The hashbrowns were good but you only get 4, which seems reasonable for the price of $2.79, but I was yearning for more. We gave this a 7/10. We would get this again and thought it was really good compared to everything else we tried. The pretzel bites tasted stale and the texture of the cheese sauce looked and tasted as if it had been microwaved and then left out for a while. This we rated a 1/10. We would not get this again. The McPops were much better than the other small snacks that we tried, and we thought they were even better than Dunkin's Munchkins. The flavors were nice, and we would definitely get McPops again. We would rate them a 9/10. The creamy avocado tomatillo sandwich was interesting. It was not really to our liking flavor-wise. I wouldn't say it was creamy, as the avocado is more like a watery sauce. 4/10. It wasn't terrible, but I would not get it again. I was excited for the spicy queso sandwich, but it just was a bit underwhelming for me. It wasn't really spicy at all -- which I was ok with -- but if you're into spicy, then this is not going to do it for you. I really like cheese, and this somehow did not have the flavor that I was expecting it to have. It had a cheese sauce that looked comparable to Taco Bell cheese, but it certainly wasn't comparable in flavor, and I was left slightly disappointed. Out of the new sandwich offerings, I would get this one, but it certainly won't be something that I would crave. 5/10. Finally for the drinks, we got a turmeric spiced latte, which tasted very strange. I'm not sure what they were trying to get at with this, other than maybe targeting people trying to go for a "healthier" option, but it was not good. We would not get this again. 1/10. We also got the churro frappe, and it did not taste like anything we expected it to taste like; that being, anything remotely similar to a churro. We would not get this again. The whipped cream was good though. 2/10. The popping pear slush was ok. The only way we can describe the taste is like if Taco Bell made a Baja Blast specifically for seven year olds or maybe like a melted snow cone that had every flavored syrup on it. It definitely did not taste like it was pear flavored. 6/10. It wasn't bad, but we wouldn't get it again. As for the sour cherry energy burst, we thought it was pretty good. The taste actually coincided with what it was, which was nice. The drink itself was sour -- and again comparable to Taco Bell's Baja Blasts -- but the boba pearls were sweet, which acted as a sort of counter to the sourness. I would have liked more of a counter, but it was still pretty good. 7/10. We would rather try a different flavor than get this again. Overall, we think CosMc's is going to have to work on some things if they are legitimately going to try and compete with Starbucks or even Dunkin', and especially if they are going to have similar prices to their competitors. Most of their offerings do not even compare with Starbucks. As someone who tends to frequent Starbucks or Dunkin', nothing that I tried at CosMc's seemed better or even comparable, other than the McPops. I'm glad we got try some of the new offerings, and it is exciting to see a new fast food place open, but given our impressions on what we tried, we just cannot envision ourselves frequenting CosMc's. read more

Very disappointed after waiting in line for an hour. The sandwiches were good and definitely McDonald's microwaved egg. I liked how saucy they were, and they were on a brioche bun. The drinks were super sugary, and the cold brew was also really sugary. The dough from the donut balls(mcpops) tasted like it was a day or two old and definitely needed to be heated or something, but it had cookie butter in the center so obvi that's always gonna be good. After waiting 40 minutes in one of their 3 lines, they were out of ALL HOT AND COLD COFFEE DRINKS! You would think the guy directing traffic would have warmed the huge line. This was at 11 AM on a Saturday. Will not return. Here's an Idea COSMC. Crispy Creme used put a sign on the building that told you when donuts were hot and fresh. I'm not the one to write bad reviews. I feel very bad for it. But the service was horrible! I get if you travel to places like this just like we do, but going here is NOT worth the trouble. We travel in a huge house bus so it's alright, but still not worth driving four hours to get the most horrible service I have ever gotten. I went in the High-Tec drive through to get the mic pops because that seems like the rage. The workers said, "Sure, but it may take a minute. We're running low on staff." Normally I would be perfectly fine with that, but it took 45+ mins! Just for mic pops! ANOTHER THING.. we ALSO popped our tire in a huge pothole! I am so disappointed in this place. Besides that, the food was VERY good. Too much time for mic pops though. I would go again if it doesn't take that long.. This deserves three starts. read more
