Arrived around 5:30pm on a weekday and they weren't too busy. It was a bit slow to place our order but I ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks and it was made very well! They also had my favorite tequila which isn't too common so it turned out great. I ordered the tacos al pastor with a side of rice and beans and everything was very delicious! If you go here, please please please check your bag before you leave. I ordered my meal, left out and neglected to check my bag. I called up to the restaurant and a nice manager agreed to fix the problem by giving me a replacement meal. I asked him how would they validate this and he told me my name would be written in a book. About a week and a half later, I went up there to claim my free meal, and I was promptly told by Juliana, a manager that she would not honor that even if my name was written in the book, which she never checked. I recently visited Los Tres Amigos with a friend, and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. After being seated and given tortilla chips, we waited 15 minutes without anyone taking our order. I flagged down a waitress and politely brought it to her attention. She responded, "Please give me a minute," so we waited another 5 minutes--still, no one came back. It wasn't until another waitress noticed me looking frustrated and scanning the room that she stepped in, took our order, and apologized for the delay. While I appreciated her attentiveness and kindness, the point is--we should've never been disregarded in the first place. The restaurant is within walking distance of my job, so I called in a lunch order and stopped by during the week. The restaurant was quiet and wasn't crowded as it was just before the noon hour. I ordered enchiladas with pork. They were prepared smothered with cheese and drizzled with sour cream and another sauce. A bag of tortilla chips came with the order, along with a salsa. Although it was cinco de Mayo we knew we'd have a wait lady said 30-45 minutes after 1.5 hours we got a seat. Saw 8 tables empty so our wait wasn't necessary for availability, it was short staff, our server was terrible, he didn't check on us, didn't bring out food out, when a person finally brought out food out, it was a meal short and all the food was cold. ALL the food, the server even told us that street corn is served cold when we complained. He had no explanation for the time (another hour) waiting for food, tomatoes on a no tomatoes order, said it came like that, nor that meal my sister didn't even get. We got the manager involved to fix it but we'd been there 4 hours, the server had to take everything off the bill we didn't eat. Never again will we go there. This is probably the fanciest of the Los Tres Amigos locations I've been to. The food is always good and the service is always excellent. I usually get fajitas and they have the best in the area. Last time I was there I ordered a Don Julio 1942 at the end of my meal and they served it in a shot glass which I thought was weird. Typically you would want to savor a $25 tequila in a proper sipping glass. Definitely not something you want to shoot. Probably an oversight at the bar. read more

Excellent food . Excellent patio, excellent service, beautifully decorated Maya style interior. At our table we tried the Chicken , cheese and meat Enchiladas. The Chicken taco salad with just too much chicken, Meat tacos, the meat burrito's, The corn chips and salsas were plentiful and tasty, and the extra hot sauce should be approached with caution. Expect large portions of side dishes which can easily be shared for two. Did not try any bar drinks but they did look good. read more

Recently we had out of town guests who had tasted the food from this restaurant previously and they requested to have a sit down dinner while in town. Earlier this week we went and were sat immediately and received the complimentary chips & salsa, but that is where it went down hill. We sat at the table for 15 mins waiting for someone to come and take our drink and food orders. Several staff members walked past our table, but not one person stopped or bothered to speak. At about that 15 min mark a waitress walked up to the table across from us and started chatting it up with the customer (this person already had her food because I remember saying that her dish looked tasty) so it's safe to assume that this person was a regular or a personal friend. So we wait another 10 mins or so and I go to the bar to ask the bartender to please send our waiter/waitress over. I see her tell a gentleman that worked there that we were waiting. So another 5 mins go by and as we're getting up to leave the waitress that was chatting it up for at least 15 mins turns around and asks what can she get for us. I am not one for acting out in public or public embarrassment so to avoid that from happening we walked out. We were hungry and angry and I was embarrassed because I'm hosting out of town guests and this is the treatment that they were shown. This place is down the street from my house so I have tried carryout from here I have tried sitting down in here I have really tried with this place! The food often is semi cold or just messy on the plate or in the carryout boxes. The flavour just isn't there.. I feel like everything is canned food not fresh.. beans are THICK and pasty or watered way thin not much flavour.. I called today to check their hours and the lady made herself clear with her voice and how she spoke to me that she did not want to be there nor did she want to take anyone's orders.. i ended up disconnecting.. Ive had a waitress roll her eyes at my mother and I after something was wrong with the dish and it needed fixing she just did this thing with her eyes and took the dish and walked away literally said not a single word.. we were left speechless... I have tried so much with this place but I think im over it. Even if its down the street even placing a carryout they are short with you and stern like you are an inconvenience to you. Even if you are so sweet and say please and thank you they are RUDE! Ive worked in customer service for years. Once they had a wobbly table they brought over cardboard after we complained. We had a great time celebrating my friend Kelli who is having her wedding this upcoming Friday. Family and friends gathered to celebrate her and have some good food and that's just what we did. Food was flavorful there was plenty of it and it the drinks were great also. Staff were helpful and visited our table to check in throughout our time there. Was immediately greeted. Very clean, waitress was friendly. I was happy to see they had a vegetarian section with combos of different items. I got he C which included bean burrito, cheese enchilada and a bean tostada. The burrito and enchilada had the same sauce on top of it. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce, so having it in both was not very appetizing. They do not in their menu that different burritos could have different sauces on it. I should have asked if it was going to be plain. Bean tostada-nothing special about it, a lot of tomato's. WORST TEXICAN FOOD OF MY LIFE!!! I knew we were in trouble when a food runner brought our order out in 30 seconds. This means nothing is fresh and no effort goes into the cheap slop they're slinging on your plate. The runner warned us that "THE PLATES ARE HOT!" They were!!! Scorching hot!!! Yet, the food was ice cold! Note to the franchise owner - moving forward, you'll do better by cooking the food instead of the plates to scam your customers. It may be a little too conventional to wrap your head around but it actually works in most restaurants. Came here on Cinco De Mayo around 3:30 and there was no wait time. We immediately got sat and greeted with chips and salsa. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes and the margaritas were yummy. They had a special menu for the 5th but it was all delicious. The guacamole here was super yummy. read more

The food was subpar- we ordered the steak fajitas - they didn't come out with a single sizzle, just warm & more veggies than meat. The other item was the steak tacos - again way more veggies than meat. The tortillas were hard on the tops. We ordered guac for the table, to which the server repeated the order back to us as she typed it in, but somehow it never got put on the tab, therefore didn't get delivered. Ordered a Paloma, not sure what I was actually given. Maybe a tequila and lime juice only. Service wasn't that great as the staff did not come off that friendly. I was there yesterday, ordered the Fajitas Amigos, came with 4 small pieces of shrimp, 2-3 little strips of "sirloin steak" and just one small piece of chicken (not even one chunk!!) but a lot of bell peppers and good amount of onions. I've driven by this place a million times, it opened up in a older moved Outback Steakhouse location. I think it's a chain restaurant because there are several locations in the area. They seem to always be busy so this day I decided to give them a try a have something different for dinner. Very clean and inviting decor. The staff was warm and friendly. Typical menu for Mexican dinning. I chose the Super platter backed up by tacos on the side just in case. Everything was fine and our server Esmeralda was perfect. It wasn't too busy but it did pick up while we were there. Food was ok, pricing was fair. I will return if given the chance. read more

This review will cover both my experience with the service and the food. The woman who assisted with my carryout order was not very friendly and I felt like more of a nuisance than a valued customer. The combination plate which consisted of 2 beef tacos, black beans and rice were decent at best. I love Mexican culture and food, but will not patronize this location again. My wife ordered a beef tostada, it barely had any meat on it. She ordered a side of guacamole and she had to ask for it 4 times before the waitress brought it. The continuously full parking lot made us curious to try Los Tres Amigos. We passed by a few times and noticed this newly opened restaurant on the corner of Middlebelt & 5 Mile was always crowded which usually means its good. We visited on a Wednesday night around 7pm. Although it was crowded we were seated right away without a wait. The decor was nicely themed and festive. We were approached by our servers as soon as we were seated with our chips and salsa. The first person asked if we would like to try some fresh guacamole. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that it was prepared right at the table side! And that we were able to customize it by adding our own choice of fresh ingredients to the fresh avocado. We chose onions, tomatoes, cilantro and lime juice. Yum! And this sentiment from sentiment from someone who doesn't care much for guac. Our regular server was nice and very attentive. Next we were offered drinks. They had an extensive cocktail menu complete with beer, wine, tequila, and traditional Mexican favorites. The food choices were plentiful. We went for the beef burritos and a seafood filled pineapple (Yummy!). Both were delicious. Los Tres Amigos was all we expected and more. We will surely go again. read more
