It is! The Donut Hole most certainly has diner vibes and I suspect the booths are original to its 1978 origins - both of which made for a nostalgic experience. Although named for the sweet, fried confections, The Donut Hole has a huge menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. My table all ordered breakfast even though it was lunch time. The breakfast was awesome - omelettes, pancakes, poached eggs, cheese grits, coffee and the most delicious rye bread. I had the sausage and cheese omelet and there was something about it that made it better than other omelettes I've had. Also, I loved the rye bread - it was sliced thicker than what I am used to and it was very pillowy. I enjoyed it dry but it was also good with a little butter. We waited about 20 or so minutes for a table, but once seated we enjoyed prompt, attentive, excellent service. And's let's not forget to talk about the fresh made donuts! Oh my, there were a lot of flavors to choose from and none of them disappointed. Initially I went with a chocolate frosted and Bavarian cream filled donut. But then a fresh tray of key line donuts came out and I had to get one of those too. My sister ordered a few and we took them back to our rental, cut them in quarters and had a donut tasting party. Delicious! I am looking forward to my return trip to The Donut Hole. A visit to Santa Rosa Beach would not be complete without a stop at The Donut Hole.

Do you think I left any in my plate? no sir! Wife ordered two fried eggs that come with hash browns and biscuit and she barely finished too. Kathy was our server with a smile from ear to ear that made our day, very patient and took our order quickly and accurately. Considering the number of people in the restaurant our food came out quickly. We asked Kathy about something we saw next table and could not guess what it was on the menu. Apple fritters she said so we ordered one to go, well have it with coffee tomorrow There is a well known breakfast franchise across the highway but they are no competition to the Donut Hole, just simply there is no other place I have been in the Nation that serves as good as this and I have been to quite a few, I wish there was one near home. This place has a all you can eat buffet going with the regular menu. We some how got seated right away, and had water and coffee within 2 minutes. I was impressed. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and toast. Nancy had the ham and cheese omelet with rye. This place was busy to say the least. We had our food in less then a half hour. Our server was on her best game coffee hot and kept full and the food was the same. The omelet was like eating a cloud, I have never had eggs that fluffy and full of cheese and ham. 5 stars for this place and it's staff.

This is now our new family place to go! We went to Tommy Bahamas for the first time tonight and not only was the food amazing, the service was exceptional! Coming from a customer service and sales industry, the waitress all the way up to the General Manager went out of the way to make sure we felt 5 service. I was a little overwhelmed with all of the delicious options and the waitress (Krishna?) was so great to explain some of the top favorites and I loved all of her suggestions! The Manager, Niko (?) and I believe the GM (I think his name was Don or Dirk) stopped by the table and genuinely cared about our experience as they were walking around greeting others. We walked away truly impressed overall and are anxious to go back! The atmosphere, the half off happy hour and the live music was all welcoming and enjoyable! And not only are they ginormous, but also delicious. A nice amount of tequila and good flavor! For food, we ordered steak fajitas - very good, thought I would have appreciated some guacamole with it. Tacos Birra - second or third time for my husband having these here because he likes them so dang much. And a 3 item combo with 2 soft shell corn tacos and a chile rellano.
