The Brulee was a great finish to a wonderful meal and evening with neighbors. Others at our table had the Mrs. Jenny Chicken Sandwich and Stanley's Savory Southern Sliders which they raved about. He: chicken and waffles with a side of breakfast potatoes and a sausage link. She: two eggs over easy, bacon, grits and a biscuit. Both meals were delicious. Biscuits are golden brown on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside. They hold up when you cut them in half and add butter. Bacon is cooked through but not burnt and is a nice medium thickness. The eggs were cooked perfectly which NEVER happens when we ask for over easy. Grits were a little thinner than I like but still nice. The waffle was golden and fluffy and perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. The chicken was good; not super juicy but it wasn't "dry" either, the pieces were small so overcooking is tough to avoid, but the breading was good in terms of seasoning and it wasn't "all bread" and no chicken. Potato wedges were perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The coffee was very fresh and if you're into coffee you know what I mean. Not too strong and not too weak, just a good "morning" cup of joe. The dining room is clean as a whistle and the bathrooms are, too. New flooring, fresh paint and it's obvious they take pride in their place.
