The overall process was smooth and quick. I really like their customer service as they are proactive.

My experience as a neighbor of a customer using this service is currently quite poor. Cost Less Fumigation chose to leave a termite tent up on a house with no mitigations when we had a 50mph wind storm warning over 24 hours beforehand, and storms in general had been forecasted for several days. The tent is now strewn across my backyard fence, after ripping off their customer's house at all tie points. It then flew partially into my yard to flap around, distributing whatever was coating the inside of it along with a bunch of alligator clips. It also flapped across my driveway in front of my house where--lucky for their bank account--I had only five minutes before removed my brand new car when I saw what was happening. This happened in the morning. My landlord called them multiple times trying to notify them, but was unable to connect. So he called the emergency line. I believe the response was that they had nobody available to do anything about it, and that was that. So, many hours after the storm has stopped, the poisonous tent that should never have been put up in this weather remains in my yard with no solution in sight. Please consider what this says about their professional judgment and likely responsiveness to your own needs before hiring them. Is a catastrophic incident caused by their gross recklessness how you'd like to meet your new neighbors? Edit: it was removed the next morning, which is about 18 hours later than it should have been for such an egregious mistake, with no apology or even attempt made to contact me. I still have no idea what it rinsed into my yard. Perhaps they thought only my landlord had a stake in this incident, even though I was the one actually frightened and inconvenienced by their highly unprofessional judgment and response. Hopefully this extensively pictorial review will help them understand otherwise. read more

Referred to this group to fumigate following inspection through Antique Termite. Cost Less group was prompt in reaching out and confirming I understood instructions and prep work prior to fumigation. I called days prior with questions - got answers to my questions. They nonetheless called back the day prior to scheduled fumigation to confirm I had no additional questions at that time. Fumigation itself went well on the whole. Left a bassinet box (empty) in the home - it was written on by apparently a county inspector - an unusual occurrence per Cost Less. I reported this to Cost Less and they seemed genuinely concerned, asking for photos so they could improve the experience for future customers. On the whole, would recommend. Professional, prompt, and despite the issue with an unexpected inspector, they have made efforts to improve the experience for future customers / customer expectations. read more

Report of Terrible Service CostLe$$Fumigation came to fumigate our home on Dec 17, 2020. We are extremely dissatisfied with their service and planning on reporting the terrible job they have done to BBB and on social media. The field manager and his team basically destroyed our roof by breaking over 400 tiles. It costed us over 5K to get it repaired. The company and field manager did call us and tell us that about 10 tiles are broken and they may damage a few more like 30-40. Then they called to say that a few more like 70 maybe broken. Since we had gone through the pain of packing and removing food items and moving out, we said a few tiles is manageable and we will get it fixed. They BROKE over 400. We got 5 roofers to assess the damage and give us estimates and we were informed by all of them that the tiles were broken because of the incompetence of the fumigation company workers. They had no experience working on such a roof. I have called and spoken to Carina and Justin the Field Manager from Cost Le$$ Fumigation many times to report the details of the damage. Justin also came out to assess the damage. I have written to them multiple times as well and finally today I got a response claiming they are NOT responsible. How can a licensed company get away by doing such a poor job and causing so much damage and NOT be responsible. The pain and frustration we had to go through scrambling to get our roof fixed during our holiday vacation and the season of winter storms. We should NOT be held responsible for the damage caused because of the incompetence and carelessness of the Cost Le$$ Fumigation team. If they did NOT have the expertise, they should have told us clearly before they took on the job. How can so much emotional and financial pain be caused to a customer who trusted them to get their home termite-free? read more

Excellent work on a what could have been a very traumatic experience. I admit I was nervous having my whole house fumigated, it wasn't like I just bought the house...it was full. Clearing out the pets, bagging up the food, trimming back all the bushes and staying with friends for the weekend is pretty much like upheaving your life. Carina and Laurie in the office very patiently answered my questions and Jose and his crew did a great job with the tenting. There was no damage whatsoever and the guys raked back any dirt that they had to dig up. They also didn't leave any garbage laying around which I appreciate. Highly recommended. read more

I hired another Termite company to fumigate my home - they sub-contracted the work to Cost Less Fumigation. In their documentation, they provide for the homeowner an opportunity to pay extra to have their exterior plants cared for properly to avoid damage. I paid that extra and in return, they provided no additional care, and damaged much of my plant-life around my home. I've had to have my gardener work on my yard to clean up the trampled plants and trim dead branches and ground-cover. When I called to explain my displeasure, Doug said he would come out on Saturday with his gardener at 10:00 AM to review the damage with us and determine next steps. Saturday at 10:00 AM came and went with no calls and nobody appearing at my home. I did receive a call from their gardener in the evening asking if he could come by and see the damage. We agreed he could come by on Sunday - and to his credit he did show up on time. I've never heard from Doug again. Their gardener replaced my gardenia tree, a potted plant, and my bougainvillea. I give the gardener credit for doing what he could for me - but some of the plants are no where near the size of what they damaged. I also found brownish colored spots on my carpet in the house right after the fumigation. Doug said he would come out with spot cleaner - but I have no idea what he would use and if he would care for my carpet properly. I declined his offer and will have a professional cleaner come out and treat it properly. He probably wouldn't show up anyhow - just like he didn't for the landscaping. I did receive a follow up call from Lori (August 27th) to see if I was satisfied. She said that she and the owner do not want anyone to feel unsatisfied with the work the perform and take my displeasure very seriously. I had asked for a refund for the extra I had paid for them to care for my plants and Lori said she would check with the owner and get back to me with an answer. Over two weeks went by and I hear nothing - so I call Lori again. She tells me that they sent me a check on the 31st and she tells me it was the very same day we spoke (in fact the 31st was 4 days later). I asked why she didn't call me back as she had promised - but she denies that she made that promise to me. I then tell her that I still have not check (almost two weeks from when she says it was sent), and she said, "well, we sent it - and when I say I'm going to do something, I do it." She was very sarcastic in her response and I felt like there was not much more to gain by having any additional conversation with these people. I've kissed my refund goodbye, and I suggest you kiss them goodbye and don't give them your business. If you do, I hope you have better luck than I did. read more

Cost Less was referred to us via our realtor after we had a house inspection and realize that our new home was, essentially, alive. Cost Less beat out all of the other bids and had excellent service. We weren't living in the house yet, but they were very autonomous in their work. The majority of the landscaping even survived the fumigation. Team was very considerate of our hydrangea plants in the front of or house. They took the extra care to make sure not to break them. House was clean when we arrived after they were done. They tented the house on Thursday at 3pm and the house was ready to move back in on Saturday at 12noon. We forgot to remove all the spices from our spice cabinet in the kitchen and the team took the time to put them on a plastic bag and placed them in our external shed instead of just throwing them away. Great group of guys, great job. Will definitely be using them again in the future should I need a termite fumigation. Truly a 5star service for a very reasonable price. The worst company around. Rescheduled twice, then 3 old and overweight guys showed up 5 hours late to do the job that requires 6 healthy workers. The home I live in was fumigated by Cost Less Fumigation a few weeks ago. Their workers did a lot of damage to my landscaping. They also damaged some very expensive medications in my refrigerator. My termite guy used Cost Less Fumigation to tent my building July of 2019. These guys walked and dragged their heavy tarps on the composition roof and damaged over 15 lineal feed of ridge. After I complained, they sent out a crew that claimed there was no damage. I complained again and after some round and around they sent out the owner. He showed up claiming they did not cause the damage, but he would patch it with a tar material. I knew they caused the damage because I was on the roof the day before they first came out. I refused that fix and requested that they replace the damaged ridge cap. They refused to fix the damage! After some back and forth my termite guy worked out a deal with Cost Less and the joint deal between Cost Less and my termite guy covered the cost to repair the roof. I highly recommend you take pictures of your roof before the work, and walk your roof with the fumigator prior to and after the work is done. read more

All I can say is we don't have our 2 cats anymore. My husband made sure our cats were out of the garage and closed it up. Upon returning from a 5 day trip the cats were no where to be seen. That was in mid April. I called and we're given the "we are trained to look everywhere" bit and that the lady would ask if anyone saw any cats and call me back. I was never called back. My husband had made sure none of them were in the garage when we left so something happened between then and when we came back. It's been well over a month and it's the only thing that makes sense. We have gone out of town countless times and the cats would always be here and all of a sudden no cats and it's heartbreaking. read more

I am very disappointment with Cost Less Fumigation. - 4 hours late for appointment without proper communication. The appointment was scheduled at 1pm, no one showed up after 2:30pm. I called in and got very rude response from Larie. She said that team was NEVER onetime and she WOULD call me back for estimate arriving time. NO CALL for another hour, I called back and got rude responses again. Until 4:30, Laurie called and said the crew will be there in one hour. - Dead plants after PAID $200 for preparation work I told them that we have plants in front the house and I was told NOT TO WORRY AS LONG AS I PAY THEM for prep work. So I found my PLANTS ARE DEAD!! - BROKEN ROOF TILE I was shocked to see my house after fumigation! The roof tiles around house are ALL BROKEN! I did roof inspection before fumigation so I have PICTURES to prove what was the ROOF tile condition and what is the current roof tile condition. - SUPER BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE Laurie - the person never called me back for promised phone call. When I called in today, she said PLANTS always die ! Why I pay $200 Prep work if I don to care my plants to die! Those plants takes years to grow that big , there is no way to get these plants !!! My neighbors contacted a company that sub-contracts with costless fumigation so they contracted out the service of costless fumigation for termite fumigation. Our house was fumigated for a total of five days Friday to Tuesday because they are closed on Sundays. I left my home before noon and left the key where it was designated in the contract. I received a phone call while I was away the day they were to begin fumigation at 3:12 pm. They lady proceeded to tell me there was still some food items such as chips that were in the residence that needed to be bagged and that they workers also stated there was cash in a drawer. She asked if I could go and remove the items or if they should bag them and put them outside and if they should give the money to the neighbor (our homes are joined together and she was fumigating as well). I asked how much time I would have to get there and she stated if I was longer than 30-45 minutes away then I wouldn't have enough time. I was further away than that time period so I told her to allow them to bag the food items for me and not to give the money to the neighbor that if they found any money in an excessive amount they were digging where they shouldn't be. I was thinking it was a few dollars in a drawer or something as we do throw spare change in our drawers from time to time. Meanwhile, I am unaware there was money in our guest bedroom in the top drawer from my husbands co worker that was staying with us for a short period of time while he was transitioning to moving back to Seattle. Fast-forward to today, Tuesday I received a call from the same lady, saying that they workers opened up the house and that two of my window screens were cut and some of the money was missing. She then stated that the only people who knew about the money were her guys, herself, and myself. in which I replied that she was wrong, I didn't even know about the money until she told me, and I asked her on the telephone if it was an excessive amount and she said she was not clear on the details. She asked if we had a roommate and I said that we sort of did (my husbands co worker's lease ended May 16th and he needed a place to stay until June 2nd) and she said it must have been his money (I don't know if she was insinuating he broke in to get it or not). She also was adamant it was not her guys, that they took before and after pictures (I am not sure what that proves or not, I could take a before and after picture of me stealing something). I am writing this review because when I arrived home the only thing that is missing is the money. I have other valuables in the home that could and should have been taken if it was a burglary as it was non traceable and valuable. The only thing taken was the money, money which I didn't even know existed. So in reality, the only people that knew were her and her employees as well as the guy that was staying with us. The scene also looks staged. It seems they came in from my master bedroom because the screen is missing, the blinds are broken, and there are foot prints on the wall. I'm not saying that there guys are responsible, I am saying that it seems odd that the only thing that was taken was the money which I now know after speaking with the guy staying with us was $1220.00 as they left $40.00 of it. I am filing a police report for a home break in and I hope that the investigation leads to an arrest. I just find the whole situation a bit fishy only because the only thing that is missing is the money they themselves reported on seeing. read more

I had my house fumigated about 3 weeks ago and I am very satisfied with their customer service. Post inspection showed no sign of any termites left. I have to say they were really good with responses to my calls and e-mails. They also accommodated my request to finish the work by 1 PM because of PG&E appointment I had. They were done by 9 AM!! We purchased a house that mentioned evidence of drywood termites.. As first time single-family-home owners, we were nervous and wanted to get rid of the termites as soon as possible. We first got an estimate from a different company (which, compared to the price of the house and without any previous experience, I thought it was not that bad), however my realtor suggested to contact Cost Less fumigation (since many other companies subcontract with them, not all companies do tenting, and she had good experiences with them)... I was not really looking for a lower price, but more about dealing with a single company (and not subcontracting) I must say I'm so glad I contacted Cost Less Fumigation! They responded very quickly to all my emails (and I'm the kind of customer who like to understand all details), and also they gave me a much lower quote (almost 23% cheaper)! They send me detailed instructions on how to prepare for the fumigation (it was easy for us, since the house was empty) and what to expect before, during and after the fumigation I scheduled the fumigation for the day after we got possession of the house. They arrived exactly at the hour promised and proceed to explain to me what was going to be done, taking good care of the trees and plants around the house. They completed in time (started on Friday morning, removed the tents by Tuesday afternoon), no damage to the house, left the house properly secured After the actual fumigation I chose to pay an additional $150 dollars for masking of pellets (covering the evidence with cement dust to validate their 1 year warranty). Cost Less was the subcontractor who tented our house. Positives: * The price was reasonable. * They showed up on time and were done on time. Negatives: * They broke a pipe connecting our irrigation system to the main water pipe into our house. This caused a constant spray of water out of the pipe, which they stopped by turning off our main water valve. It wasn't completely their fault, as the pipe was rusty, but they didn't take any responsibility and didn't even let me know why they had shut off the water. It cost me over $500 to have the pipe fixed. read more
