This is by far one of my most favorite restaurants to visit, the food is absolutely out of this world from appetizers to the main course...to the dessert. Everything tastes different, exotic, really interesting flavors. Came here tonight and here is my honest review: Tortilla chips and salsa: the salsa was really good! Appetizer, 4x4 shareable:was a 9/10 recommend, it is a little pricey Pasta El Capitan: 3/10 the dish was all butter and salt, not a huge fan. Pasta was way over cooked and the chicken wasn't "blackened" as per the menu ingredients Poblano chicken: 6/10 it was ok Grilled salmon: 6/10 it wasn't cooked to my liking Shrimp empanadas: 4/10 kind of disappointing. I did add lettuce and green salsa and really enhanced the flavor. The menu did say it came with guac and I did not get it. I asked the waitress for clarification, apparently it's on the menu but only for happy hour though the description was on the regular menu. I'm so happy I was finally able to go to this spot. They are following social distancing, the tables are spaced out, there's sanitizer, everyone needs a mask to get in. They have a patio with loud music and it looked a bit too packed but I didn't pay a lot of attention, we sat inside. I like the decor it's quirky and fun, and I love the murals. We had a Paloma, super tasty. A mezcal flight, a tuna carpaccio (by far my favorite item, the one that will make me come back to this place over and over), a back to life cocktail (fresh!) and a sopa de mariscos. The soup was my least favorite item, it was a bit bland for my taste but we had plenty of other food to enjoy. Also, don't skip on dessert! We had a flan de elite and it was super tasty. Ordered a jalapeno rita.......no ice......it was room temperature. Aren't margaritas supposed to be COLD????? I used to come here when they first opened. Loved it sooo much. I moved away and hadn't been in quite a few years but popped in while on business in that area. It's as good, if not better than before! They've updated the restaurant beautifully. Waitress was very sweet and attentive. We ordered the family seafood platter on Saturday 6/18 - All fish. We received fish and shrimp. We had someone over who was allergic to shrimp. When we called Costa to tell them, the person (said he was the manager) who answered the phone (not one of the owners) said it was the delivery service's problem. Wrong. The delivery service didn't make the meal. After a few minutes, he said he would credit us for the meal. We ordered food somewhere else, and I noticed later that the charge had been credited to my card . The next day, the credit was reversed. I'd like to think that when someone is paying for over $100 worth of food, they'd have gotten it right. I guess this is the way customer service is going: "We don't care. We've been here many times over the years, so I guess I'm long overdue for a review! Unassuming and set back in the corner of a small strip mall, Costa Pacifica is dishing up some great food and drink for both seafood lovers and non-seafood lovers alike. Everything from a selection of ceviches and beef empanadas, to soups and chicken fried rice, and all of it is delicious. The restaurant is divided into three almost equal parts- dining room, bar area, and an enclosed patio where you can find live music on weekends and certain evenings. They have a fantastic all-day happy hour on Mondays and Tuesdays- probably one of the best! Currently, a house margarita on happy hour runs $2.99, and certain other drinks and food items run about $6. It gets pretty crowded on those days so plan accordingly. Service usually isn't very good on these days either, especially in a time of staffing shortages, so keep that in mind. I don't recommend sitting in the bar area on a busy day (if you are given the choice) and if you plan to dine. Usually, the bartender (most of the time just one) is left to cover the bar, all the servers ordering drinks, and all the tables in the bar, too. Not very efficient or ideal, so exercise extra patience. While it is generally excellent, there are a few downfalls, too. Consistency is one. Sometimes things come out overcooked, sometimes things take a while to come out and they are barely warm at that point, sometimes things are missing (forgotten tortillas, forgotten tostadas for your ceviche, etc.), and sometimes your server won't come back to check on you, so you're left waiting for another drink or if you want to order anything else. Oh! I recently decided to order a fountain Coke with my meal after a few margaritas (jalapeño this time, but they're all good!) and I found out that EACH soda is $3.50. Not a can or bottle, not a free refill, but the least expensive form of soda (fountain) is $3.50. EACH! Before you know it, your non-alcohol-drinking friends or teens are drinking at least 10-12 dollars per person in soda. I didn't see this noted anywhere on the menu, so be aware. Favorites include anything with shrimp, all of the ceviches, "Back to Life" cocktail, empanadas, Chicharron de Ribeye, Chicharron de Pollo (surprisingly good!), and, well, most everything on the menu! Go in with patience and an open mind, and experience their delicious menu! read more

This was an interesting place. First off plenty of parking so no worries it's a a shopping strip and lots of other places to see while you visit. This night there was a live band outside and they had some heaters to warm you up. We sat inside and while we didn't have an appointment they did sit us down within 20 mins. The drinks were great and the food was very tasty. I had the Popeyes fillet with redfish instead of tilapia. I am thinking it might be a bit more tasty with the tilapia. The shrimp enchiladas my wife had were very good. We had the shrimp aguachiles for an appetizer and my wife almost preferred this to her entree. I met a friend for happy hour and she called me as I was driving there (2 exits away on the highway) to let me know she ordered us food and drinks. She said I ordered the happy hour margaritas but they are really weak. I said "that's ok, I don't need them to be strong." I got there shortly after our conversation and when I tasted the margarita it was watered down and tasted like water with a hint of lime. I told our server the margarita was really watered down and asked if it was supposed to taste like that, she said yes, that's how the happy hour margarita tastes. For starters we got there and they sat us within 15 minutes of arriving. Keep in mind this is a busy Saturday night! We sat and started off with a Paloma (yum but not very strong) & a pina colada. We got shrimp & fish ceviche for starters and some complimentary chips and salsa. Ceviche was a 10/10! Wow some of the best I've had & I'm from The Valley. Back in the day Costa Pacifica was my go-to for birthday celebrations, graduations, happy hour with the friends, dinner before the club...you name it! One of my favorite things about Costa is their Monday and Tuesday ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR...yes! I am not joking...ALL DAY! Drinking in the weekends is so overrated y'all! Even though their $2.99 margaritas are definitely a deal, my favorite part about their happy hour is the food menu. I am totally in love with their chicken and rice, and the carpaccio..both of them are in the happy hour menu and are simply delicious! CP is our go-to place on a Friday night because of their live music, the patio gets full quickly so if you're wanting to sit outside get there early! To add to the fun they also have a happy hour from 3-7pm Wed-Friday. Chips and salsa are provided when you sit down, the salsa is delicious. More chips will come automatically! Some of our favorite dishes are the tuna carpaccio which is half price during happy hour, the oriental tostadas ($5.95 all the time), tacos al Gobernador and the calamari.
