I went twice before finally writing this. Man does this place make my month. After so many weeks of not eating out I finally do and this place shines bright among them all. I came here and thought it would be just another Peruvian restaurant, I was wrong. This place blows it out of the park when it comes to flavor, consistency and service. It's small but it's doing things exactly how they should be done. They made me a loyal fan. I ordered the Seco Norteño and I HIGHLY recommend it. It's juicy, tender and jam packed with home style flavors. Their cilantro sauce is spot on and the Mayacoba beans they use (extra tender white beans) are what earned them the 5 stars. That and the amazing server. She is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and overall genuine. She served us both times and made both times memorable. I look forward to going there often! Costa Verde is a very casual restaurant. Service is friendly and attentive. The food itself could be better. Compared to other Peruvian restaurants I would say that Costa Verde lacks a little flavor. Being used to the bold flavors and sharp sauces of peruvian food you find yourself trying to find even the salt in some of the dishes. Mixed seafood ceviche was okay but it was just very under seasoned. Same goes for choros a la chalaca.... a mussels dish that is usually served with lots of spicy and juicy sauce it was bland. Just closed on winter escape home on Marco Island and so glad we found this hidden gem. Coming from Manhattan we've had pretty much had the best of the best, and this place is spot on Peruvian cuisine. Don't let the outside fool you. It appears as if you're going to eat at the dollar store but this quaint establishment is right next to it. It's very clean and the waitress was smiley. We did however have to wait quite a while for water. They serve the hot sauce and fried corn (forgive me if there is a more proper name for it) that should def be served with water based on the level of spice and salt but it was delicious. I finished my can of coke almost immediately as I waited. We ordered the Jalea Mixta and Lomo Saltado. The Jalea was perfectly dusted. It wasn't heavily fried at all. The fish pieces were incredibly tender. The fish was served first without the sauce so I thought it a bit bland but once the limes and sauce were served it was amazing. It's a huge portion and for the price and all the fish you get in Naples, is a great deal. The mussels were a bit fishy tasting so I didn't care for those. The Lomo had great flavor and was very tender. I very much enjoyed the dish. The restaurant became packed and every seat was full by the time we were finished at 720pm. Come to enjoy the wonderful food but not if in a rush. Only one server for the entire restaurant so she has her hands full. It's really slow...originally gave it 5 stars but because of slow service and dirty plates on the table forever and empty glasses I lowered it by 2 stars. I was told about Costa Verde by a Peruvian friend. The selling points were good service and flavor. Boy was she right! I visited the restaurant with my wife and daughter during a break from early Christmas shopping. The locale is conveniently located and though it's small it is very clean and comfortable. We tried several dishes but the stars of the show were the ceviche, the papa huancaína and the lomo saltado. I've gone back twice and had some of their fish dishes, all very tasty. Prices are average and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend Costa Verde. read more

On top of being overly priced for what you get, this was not a great place. Friendly staff, but don't waste your time here. I paid $35 for a lomo saltado and a small ceviche and drove all the way home. As I opens the containers two things stuck out. The quantity of meat the lomo saltado had (very minimal) and the ceviche was served bad. I live ceviche, so I know it's correct textured and correct amount of time it should be "cooked" with the lime and sauce, but this was extra chewy, still a tad too raw, and it had a weird gunk or thick coating over the ceviche. I had to call the restaurant so they can check their ceviches before making someone sick. A huge let down indeed. read more

Everything about this place is amazing! From the outside, you'd think this place would be a hole in the wall but once you go inside you feel like you've jumped into Peru. The tables were very clean and socially distanced well, the server Francisco was so kind and helpful and the FOOD! THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY FIRE!!!! Initially my friends and I wanted a calamari appetizer and Francisco recommended the combo which had other fried seafood and yuca! The best recommendation of all time and I've been to a lot of recommendations! The food came came out quickly. The decor was cute. I read reviews where they said it was fast food, the food arrives fast, bit it's definitely not fast food. I had some oysters (I forgot the name) as an appetizer, which were out of this world!! My mom, sister and brother all got a type of ceviche (fish, mixed seafood) which were all really good too. Mine was my favorite though. Then, I ordered a grilled chicken breast and everyone at the table, was like really?? You're coming to Peruvian place and you're going to order that?? Well, yeah and when it came I had them all try it, and they couldn't believe how good it was. It was seasoned perfectly, super moist, and grilled with charcoal so had that nice smokey flavor. My brother had a chaufa rice with mixed seafood, which he loved. I tried it and it was really good, bit I still liked all of my dishes the best. I was down here for work and decided to stop in based on the rating from yelp. I had the sautéed fish with vegetables rice and french fries. It was wonderful and it was very filling. The ceviche was perfect - capturing the essence of what I know to be this sublime dish. Standard potato/corn accompaniments were here. My father had the aji de gallina which he very much enjoyed. Went with my husband after playing pickleball and tennis. This place is amazing. Just a smallish place in a strip shopping center, maybe 50 seats. Food was so flavorful, service was excellent. We asked server for recommendations and she was spot on. Started with Ceviche which was amazing then had Pescado a Lo Macho as the main course. Brought flan home for dessert and that was perfect. Delicious food, unless you hate cilantro... I tried to stress "no cilantro? No cilantro!" while ordering. No dice. My food came out with green flakes all over it. It's totally delicious but would be even more tasty without the soapy taste of cilantro! The beef was flavorful and tender, the veggies were sweet and tasty (and brushed with cilantro-laden oil) I know it's genetic, and I know MOST people think cilantro is god's gift, but maybe you could just note which dishes contain it and which don't? The only thing holding this place back is it's location, tucked away off Golden Gate Parkway, west of Santa Barbara. Made a stop in Naples for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon after finishing the Alligator alley commute from Lauderdale. Put on the Yelp radar for "restaurant" setting to find anything possible. Peruvian food came up quick and that's where I headed. Located next to Winn Dixie supermarket off Golden Gate Blvd, it was easy to find Costa Verde restaurant . It was lunchtime and the place was empty so I had the entire dining hall to decide a spot. Starters I had them make a small order of fish ceviche which turned out to be excellent. At $9.95 it was a good choice. Ceviche here is accompanied with boiled yucca, sweet potato, onion, and large corn kernels. Then main course I asked for was a special off the board "Pollo a la Braza" a famous Peruvian chicken plate which ran an economical $8.95 An additional side soup came ahead of my plate that had some chicken and rice in it. I asked for a leg quarter, side salad, and white rice. Very very good and I left there totally stuffed. Before leaving, I ordered a whole chicken with rice and fries to take home. At only $19.95 it was a great idea which worked to feed three of us for dinner that night with leftovers!! Service was wonderful and everything came out correctly and prompt. I got to know this place because of my in-laws who eat here on a regular basis. The restaurant is hidden in the plaza and is easy to overlook. The location is narrow but the light color of the interior really make it work. The food here is great, with a menu that isn't to big but serves everyone. They have a great choice in fishes. But meat lovers also can find their place here. The biggest point of improvement is the service. Even though the people are friendly, the speed is lacking a bit.
