If I could leave zero stars I would. We called this store at 6:15pm Sunday, December 19th and asked what time they were open until. They said 7pm (even though their website said 8pm. We go here all the time and like their food. We got to the restaurant at 6:30pm and there were several people wanting to get in. Their doors were closed but there were people inside sitting and eating. I called again and spoke with a woman and asked why the doors were closed. They said "sorry, we will open the doors". Another woman came outside and said "sorry, we are having a private party" which was a LIE! When one of the couples exited I asked and they said there was NO private party. Many, many people came up to the door and tried to get in in the few minutes we were there. I called Costa Vida Corporate Offices and hope to get a call back tomorrow. They need new management desperately! We went to Chipotle across the street and they were fabulous! They will get ALL of our future business. Please don't support this lousy business. There is no way they can be around much longer conducting business this way. read more

I'm not sure why you'd come here to eat, I'm not sure why i did. Their burrito was like the instant uncle ben's rice, canned beans and Tyson chicken rolled up in a janky tortilla. They ask you if you want guacamole and sour cream after they make your burrito. Not sure what's going on here. Just go across the street and get a chicken sandwich. read more

The service was nice. The tortillas were made fresh in the store which was good. However, I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were very plain. Also, it tasted like they had some sweet sauce, and I do not like sweet sauce in my shrimp taco. As a side Sauce wouldn't mind, but it was all over my taco. For a smothered burrito that is $8-9 this place is great! The sweet pork is delicious and the green chili compliments it well. If you'd rather have a savory green chili or pork then this is not for you. The proportion sizes are generous and it is a great place for a quick burrito! read more

GOOD BYE chipotle & Qdoba! And hello Costa Vida! I recently found out about this place a few days ago by a friend of mine. We had stopped in for a late dinner after working on cars all day to grab a bite. And boy... is the food fresh and yummy! I'd recommend the mango taco salad and the grill chicken tacos! Overpriced wannabe illegal Pete's style restaurant. The shredded beef was not Mexican whatsoever, it was barbecue marinated beef with sugar or something, I felt sick afterwards because it was so sweet over salty. I ordered a flan afterwards and you could tell whatever dairy was in the dish was spoiled, it was bitter far more than sweet. They should've switched whatever they had in the meat in the flan, they switched roles!!! This was an expensive disappointment! They up-charged for about a tsp of cheese and the poor girl making food was totally not familiar with the menu and toppings. They portioned the protein like it was coming out of their paycheck. Costa Vida usually has pricey, but good food and portions.. not here! Mediocre food, bland, and not great. Went with the whole family, no one really liked the food. I ordered a shrimp dish and they improperly prepared it by food safety standards. Very undercooked, was concerned I'd get sick so I returned it and didn't eat it. The employee didn't even apologize or ask if I'd like a refund...he seemed embarrassed. Wouldn't go back or recommend. What a great find! Staff was very friendly and courteous helping us understand all of the variety of food on the menu and that it was made fresh in the store every day. They have a fun atmosphere and seating area inside and a great patio with many tables and umbrellas. The prices are unbeatable and there are opportunities for discounts if you do a quick online survey with your receipt. Love this and couldn't agree more... Visited Costa Vida in Westminster on Orchard Pkwy. on Dec. 13th and was a little dismayed by what I perceived as smaller portions of the ingredients in my Sweet Pork Enchiladas. As I paid as an afterthought asked the cashier for a receipt so I could scan it for rewards. The person was not able to get the receipt printed and eventually printed it from another register. It took about 10 min. During that time they asked the Mgr. to come and help 3 times and she never came out. I wrote the review on Costa Vida describing dis-satisfaction with the Mgr.'s lack of response and the smaller portions. The next day the Mgr. called and apologized and said she was busy. I mentioned that was disappointing that she could not provide customer service over business. Then I mentioned the smaller portions and she admitted that Corporate came in the week before and told them their portions were too big and they need to lower them to 2 oz. each enchiladas or 4 oz. in total. I realize this is not their fault so I told her again that I was dismayed that she could not respond to her worker's request for help and it really bothered me. She hung up on me. I was not angry only speaking calmy and just expressing my opinion. read more

I was super excited to see a Costa Vida move into North Denver as this is one of my favorite fast casual restaurants. My family checked out this location on National Tortilla Day and enjoyed Costa Vida's $5 special on Sweet Pork Smothered Burritos. I typically order a pork salad but I enjoyed the burrito and the taste. The service was great including the manager walking around giving out free tortillas. My only complaint is our server appeared to skimp on the sweet pork which is the best part! read more

This is a great place and is comparable to places like Chipotle. They have a really nice atmosphere and make fast-causal more inviting. I have had this multiple times and each time I find this place to be very consistent with portions, pricing, and service. Overall, I find that they have a very friendly staff, that are more then patient. They also have a decently diverse menu. The meats however are on the sweeter side for traditional Tex-Mex which for me wasn't a contributing factor into my rating. I found this place to provide an exceptional experience in person. We've gone to this place sense it open. Generally a pleasant experience but tonight I went in to grab dinner for my girlfriend who was working late. Wanted to surprise her. When I was in there the teenager who waited on me had had some other friends in there visiting her. Her manager was there and didn't say anything, so none of my business. Until she left out some of my order because she was worried about visiting with her friends. I didn't find it till I was home. I called to speak to her manager as she preceded to pretend to be the manager. I'm very disappointed with the professionalism of this place right now. read more

I don't usually complain about prices, but $7 for 1/8th cup of beans, 6 small pieces of chicken and some lettuce is ridiculous. Then they charged extra for the sauce, because I requested it in place of salad dressing. I'm not a particularly big eater, but I left hungry. The flavors were ok, nothing to get excited about. This place has gone down the sh*tter really quickly. They never have enough staff, their "milk" machine has been broken for almost a month now with no sign of being replaced, they are starting to nickle and dime for everything (my order hasn't changed but whenever I am in line I head 'it will be extra for that' over and over and over again). They are often unprepared when they open and out of meat when it is getting close to closing time. The management seems extremely inexperienced and things like napkins, spoons, cups are often not available. The non-management that works there seems to be busting their butts but they are ill-managed and they don't have enough help. This is my FAVORITE place to eat, but the customer service sucks now... the place is always dirty... it is really sad to see is spiral. I even tried to tell corporate about it and they messaged me saying I needed to take a screenshot of my bank statement to prove I went there because the staff members always forget to give receipts because they are so rushed. All in all, it is not a place you want to go if it is a busy time of day because it will be a LONG line... and they might not have what you want... or a drink cup for that matter. read more

Rude. Unhygienic. Unprofessional. Some are saying that food is fresh .... oh, please. My son found fruit flies in his entry. When I brought this up and demanded my money back the person in charge (like she introduced herself) got pissed and said that I do not know how to order. I agree. I do not know how to order a naturally fermented food. Did I mention that while we are placing our order the employee was holding a broom in her gloves and cleaning her ear with her finger right before serving us? Do you think she changed gloves? nope she continued with her chores. When I brought this up she did not understand why I was asking that. Cashier only smiles on each question and she does look like she is very nice, but then it turned out that she is simply laughing at you. When I questioned charges because they grew with each spit of food exponentially she just smiled like you already paid what do you want from me.
