Carne asada fried chile relleno burrito, topped with Tomatilla salsa. *Chef's kiss

As a native Angeleno (from Los Angeles, CA), I've had my fair share of incredible burritos, but on a recent trip to Denver, I stumbled upon Tlaquesalsa, and it truly impressed me. Their carne asada with fried chile relleno burrito was next-level! It's always a gamble trying burritos outside of California, but this place definitely delivered. Do yourself a favor and try their salsas. I took a couple of jars home with me.

Fast, friendly, and delicious. My go-to for breakfast burritos. The steak breakfast burrito is one of the best around!

This place was hard to find. Google maps took me to Lamar's donuts. I almost gave up but they had a sign in the driveway advertising tamales so I figured they must be there. I found this restaurant by the urgent care center. It was a small location, no seating inside or out. So Yelp is wrong about outdoor seating available, unless you want to sit on the sidewalk curb. The steak tacos were so yummy! And the hot salsa was delicious as well. Spicy and flavorful but not burn your face off hot. I can't wait to try more.

Absolutely the BEST burritos in the Denver Metro Area, I would even say the best in all of Colorado. I have tried nearly every breakfast in the area and these are leaps and bounds above the rest. Their salsa is out of this world, the green chili is phenomenal, and the burrito ingredients are always fresh and never overcooked. I could rave about this place all day. Please avoid the viral burrito places and go to this cute little storefront for the best burrito you will ever eat. The owner is also incredibly kind and friendly, he provides excellent customer service.

Man you really gotta be bad for me to rate a burrito 2 stars. Unfortunately that was my experience when I ordered a breakfast burrito from here the other day. It's like everything that could be wrong was. :( let's start with the order: a bacon, egg, cheese, and hash brown breakfast burrito add beans. Firstly the eggs...just awful. I am 99% positive these are those powdered eggs you get when you stay at some chain hotel that offers a free breakfast..you know the ones they make because they don't actually have a kitchen. Don't believe me, look at the picture lol. A picture is worth 1000 words they say, and those eggs don't look right. Next the hashbrowns, not even remotely cooked through so a mushy pile of potatoes taking up space. I guess the bright side is they prevented more fake eggs from being in there lol. Beans were alright, like they weren't as bad as the other ingredients but they weren't anything special either. And lastly the bacon...or what I could find of it anyways. I have to imagine in total there was like maybe half a piece chopped up in there. It was actually a pleasant surprise when I came across a bite with bacon because it at least brought a salty flavor to that bite, sadly they were just few and far between. Alas I am not sure I would give this spot another chance because honest If you are using powdered eggs for one, that just isn't right; and for two, it makes me question where else are you cutting corners??? Sadly a breakfast burrito fail.

I'M SO GLAD I FOUND AN AUTHENTIC MEXICAN SPOT HERE IN WESTMINISTER. Tacos and burritos are generous portions. Always very quick. I order from them about once a week. No seating available, but let me tell you this is perfect for breakfast and lunch take out.

The atmosphere is another highlight calm , cozy, and inviting with the feel of a comfortable home-style breakfast setting. For our meal I ordered the chicken fried chicken with gravy, scrambled eggs and potatoes while my spouse had a BLT with potatoes. The scrambled eggs and potatoes were well prepared and enjoyable and my spouse was satisfied with their dish except how her lettuce and tomatoes were soggy. Unfortunately the chicken fried chicken was undercooked. At the time I didn't immediately realize this as the texture seemed soft due to the gravy. It wasn't until later that I recognized the issue and I ended up feeling unwell after the meal. This was very disappointing and ultimately impacted my overall experience. While the service and ambiance were strong positives the food safety concern is significant. I hope the restaurant takes extra care in the kitchen moving forward.

On entry, we were asked if we'd been in before & given process instructions. Fast Casual - cool. Easy enough: take menus, sit (inside or out) and pick, return to the counter to order & pay (show check-in offer when ordering), take your table number & sit back down. Your food comes out, you eat, clear your table & exit. Don't think that means you'll be ignored tho. The staff are happy to help! Service was fast, staff are friendly & in excellent spirits - no grumpy people either day. Bonus for remembering us on our return. Prices were reasonable for quality & servings plenty big. They initially forgot the drinks on our 1st visit, then refunded them for the delay. This wasn't necessary but was appreciated. I mean, we did come back the next day, both to show our appreciation & because it really was fabulous. Those dippy d's - so simple, yet so good. I also liked seeing the place but not super-packed so you can't get a seat quickly. Sometimes I think with breakfast places, they strive for lines out the door constantly, but I prefer a place that hovers at that good 70% to 80% capacity mark.
