Selection of reef friendly sunscreens which
    Jana N.

First off, I love Costco and this one is probably one of my favorite locations. Why? Because it was not crowded at all and made my shopping experience very pleasant, unlike my local crowded Costco. It has a great variety of local snacks and tropical fruits as well as the usual staple items. I particularly like coming to Hawaii Costco's for their assortment of reef friendly sunscreens. Beyond the pleasant shopping experience and variety of items, check out was super quick.

We love Costco , and couldn't resist. Couldn't get much from there, since we are only two people staying in Kauai for 8 days. And we want to eat out during our stay. We got some snacks and food and cloth sovereigns-hahah for friends. Definitely cheaper at Costco than other stores. They have different selections than CA. Both food and clothes. The poke was amazing, I think better than the poke in Costco CA ! Nothing special from the food court, surprisingly

The pancakes I made with the great new pancake mix the young man recommended . Sooo yummy

I had the most fun shopping today after two weeks on the mainland. The prices are great, produce fresh and beautiful and the staff are pure Aloha. I'm so glad to be home. The tiny pancake and warm syrup was delicious . The beautiful young man making perfect little pancakes made me wish I was a child with a Barbie to have bf at Costco with me. Many blessings and thank u for hiring so many sweet and generous sample providers. I'm glad to be home!

10/25/24 Can't really beat their prices, I've checked over & over again, even while in Kaua'i This is our regular stop to stock up on our groceries when in the area. The usual: eggs, bread, yogurt, apples, sausages, berries, Diet Coke for Hubby. They are usually all well organized & merchandise are neatly arranged for ease of customers to purchase. Staff are cordial & helpful. I am extremely pleased that this Costco is in Kaua'i-very convenient & worth the shopping trip. Too bad they no longer have a poke station. Love the samples being offered to try the products--- sometimes it makes the decision easier whether to buy a product or not (plus, great snacks!!) Parking can get busy & hectic, it's free & easy to navigate.

I like to try new things and Costco is always the best at introducing local items. Case in point is the local beers and foods that are specific to the islands. I've seen many beach and water items that are not normally sold on the mainland. I'm happy to say, the $1.50 hot dogs are still here, but regret onions are never available at any of the Costcos both on the island and mainland...

Happy shopper headed home with a full cart of items!

Warehouse shopping at its best! We've been to many Costco's throughout the country, and all have been great. The quiet location is particularly great! It's so many regular Kirkland brand items to choose from, and many others, indicative of the island. So glad to be members! Mahalo!

We always love visiting costcos in Hawaii because they carry different stuff! We got several varieties of dried fish to take home, poke and sushi for dinner, and they had so many clothes we don't have on the mainland for cheap! The store was super organized and clean. The check out process was fast and efficient.

    $1.50 + tax. What a deal!

This is a REALLY nice Costco! It's got the cheapest gas on the island - $4.85 for regular and $5.05 for premium. The pumps are a block away from the main building, and there was no wait on 3/8/23 at 7:30PM. The greeters in the main building were friendly and efficient. After using the clean restrooms, we looked around. We were mostly interested in buying men's shirts for Husband. They had really nice polo shirts for $20 or less, and they had Hawaiian burton down shirts for $20. We bought 4 shirts and used our annual rewards to pay for most of them. Tuesday night we had hot dogs and drinks for $3.14. Tonight we had 2 slices of pepperoni pizza for $4.17. The food & drinks are outside, next to the main building, and under a covered area. Food was hot and good both nights. We LOVE Costco!!!

Came here with the kiddos to pick up snacks and fill up at the gas station. It was super crowded, but, they had every cash register open and tried their best to get everyone going. This store is stocked with a lot of stuff that is obviously not found in the mainland so it was nice to grab stuff to bring back for others!

Not crowded and great prices! We came from the mainland. I'm pretty much the prices are the same. We were able to get some Hawaiian specialty items so that we could take him home to friends as a gift. We also stocked up on some things we will use throughout the week here in Kauai staff friendly store was clean will be back.

If you have a Costco membership, I highly recommend coming here at the beginning of your trip. They have the best prices on the island for groceries, alcohol, and Hawaiian snacks. However, you're still in Kauai, so it's going to cost a little more than Costcos in the other islands and, of course, the mainland. Their price for poke and sushi is a little steep, though compared to places such as Foodland, Safeway, and Times. But just like every other Costco, they have the inflation-proof $4.99 rotisserie chicken and $1.50 hot dog combo! Their Hawaiian snacks section is a little light compared to other Costcos I've been to in the islands; however, you can still find cases of Hawaiian Host macadamia chocolates no problem. I was also glad to find Koloa coffee and coconut rum here! The best prices too! Only $27.99 a bottle!

    Ask the Community - Costco

What time does the gas station open?

Drove here and couldn't find the gas station. Does it have a gas station?

Yes, the Costco in Lihue has a gas station, but the gas station is adjacent (up the street) from the Costco parking lot, near Home Depot.

Are there any tour gift cards available at this Costco?

Yes, I saw some gift card packs there for tours/adventures.

How is the inventory at costco? We are planning to be there in a couple weeks.

The past week or so it has been pretty empty when it comes to perishable goods but this morning Monday, March 23 the store was full of fresh items including meats and seafood.

What flavors of Kauai Coffee are sold here?

The Kauai Coffee flavors that Costco carries are 24 oz packages starting with the Whole bean Estate Roast for $17.99, the Coconut Caramel Crunch for $17.99, and in 16 oz are the peaberry for $24.99 & the Typica Whole bean for $24.99. During the…

Should have done more research before coming here…read more Grocery poke is surprisingly good in Hawaii, so tried to find the nearest supermarket near our hotel in Kauai. Our lunch on Day 3 had been a bust, so decided to eat in more and get needed supplies. I knew that Safeway was affiliated with Albertson's, which I THOUGHT owned Foodland (which has great poke)...so came here and bought other stuff (cause we were already there). Later found out that my assumption was incorrect. The employees here are tired of tourists, I think. The woman at the seafood counter (which has a small poke section), acted like she was doing me a favor when I asked for the rest of the fresh hawaiian style poke. When I asked how good the from-frozen ahi poke was, she mumbled something unintelligible. Cashiers don't have to be friendly but should be at least respectful, and appear as if trying The lane was open, so it wasn't too busy. She barely acknowledged us but did scan each item without being asked (and we were self self bagging). But then there was a pause to push the process to start the payment process. Then another long pause after I had entered my credit card. Then another pause to print receipt. Then finally after printing, she grabbed the receipt without looking at it and just stuck out her hand AT me to grab without looking at me. The last two actions were happening while she was having a funny (to her) conversation with a co-worker. Not good when two employees together are acting like this without shame. A part of me wanted to lightly slap her receipt-holding hand and tell her "Didn't your mama teach you manners?". Purchases: -- 2 bagels ($1.19 each) -- small Lucerne milk ($2.89) -- small cream cheese ($5.99) -- fresh (not frozen) ahi tuna ($29.99 per pound, paying $21.29). -- six pack can of Maui Brew Mango Beer ($14.99 with Dep fee of $0.30 -- PB Blondie Bestie ice cream from Ben and Jerry, pint for $4.99 (normally $8.99 but on sale so very good price...needed to download the Safeway app since my Von's or Albertson's card doesn't work...had good free wi-fi in store).

This location offered a wide variety of food options, including ready-made meals, hot foods, deli selections, and more, making it a convenient stop for quick bites or grocery shopping. They also offered additional items like Summer Rolls, Big Wave Poke Bowls, Spam Norimaki, and Calamari Salad, which added to the overall selection. I decided to try two Rainbow Rolls. The quality of the sushi was decent; not bad, but not particularly outstanding either. The taste was tolerable enough, especially considering the fairly reasonable price point.
