I love this particular Costco .. they are so friendly & get to know you each time you come in & say hello to you by name ! Even at the end of the day, their cashiers are super friendly & enthusiastic. There wireless center is amazing & I get fantastic service every time I go there. If you need a new cellphone, go see Dustin Edwards at the mobile phone kiosk at this Costco, they have the best prices & the most knowledgeable staff. The products & service, over the years, has been so great, that I will never get my phones or my families phones, anywhere but here. Dustin, Justin (now in La Quinta) & Johnny (now the Samsung rep) have taken such good care of me. Dustin is so friendly & knows so much about all the phones & is so helpful in picking out the best plan for you. He is incredibly patient & makes everyone feel acknowledged & valued. Go see him ! Their warranties on all their electronics can not be beat & they honor it to the letter. Pharmacy service was horrible. I made it a point to ask the tech if they had my medication in stock she asked the pharmacist who said yes they had it and that it would be ready in an hour. We have been shopping at the Palm Desert Costco for years and have notice recently that their prices have really increased and we are very disap[pointed to the point we are going to do price comparison and buy what we need locally. We also noticed that they no longer offer the paper towels in the half sheet size of 120 sheets. All that was available last week was tyhe 60 full sheet size. We enjoy the store. Customer service is very well very friendly. We love the food court my family loves going there for lunches. Very organized store. It's always busy though so sometimes it can be crowded and a little overwhelming. It feels like they need more cashiers on hand when the lines get longer. Overall very good store. read more

Ok I went in to buy a 60 inch TV. Well those people that stand around asking if you need assistance. I finally through some questions. Samsung 600 series 55 inch TV. USB port What does it support. What kind of movies can I play. She had no clue. She then asked for a person of more intelligence and she gave me some mumbo jumbo info and said it works on her TV. What???? She said if it doesn't work bring it back. Ok Costco. I think you need to bring in some people that know what there talking about. I felt uneasy shelling out over a grand for a TV I'm going have to stand in line and explain my return. Hire some techy people for god sakes. Not people profiling you as a shoplifter. read more

Jonna is wonderful. Knowledgeable, professional and caring. Answered all of my questions and put me at ease. Moderate to severe loss in both ears. I purchased the Kirkland (Resound brand name) hearing aid for half the cost it would have cost me anywhere else. I pick up the hearing aid in a week. This is by far the worst Costco location I've ever been to. The parking lot is absurd, the store layout is ridiculous, they don't even have a food court right now, customer service is awful, They don't have their act together whatsoever, and they frequently only have two or three lines open with huge long lines of people waiting. Returned all of my frozen/possibly contaminated veggies and got money back. Policies here are great, just wish the mean Hispanic older lady that was always at the customer service counter could just do her job and help customers and not challenge me. I got the call to return veggies, had 2 bags in my freezer of green beans. 1 was a whole big bag and 1 was separate steamer bags. Bought at separate times. They have every purchase you've ever made in their computer that's how they contact you for recalls. She told me I was lying and only had 1 purchase...the 2 bags had SEPARATE item numbers on them so I made her look in the computer. I only got 5.47 for the whole bag but 7.99 for the steamers I believe, but I had to prove her wrong and it was annoying when they were clearly 2 different items. I think she gave me a discontinued price for the bigger bag because I swear I paid at least 9.99 for those but who cares the bag was almost empty and the fact that costco wanted to recall these veggies and give customers money back makes me a loyal customer. Just NOT the woman at the counter. I had an issue with their senior dog food 2 years ago and she was rude then, too. Guess some things just never change. read more

I love this Costco. They have tons of organics now! Also some wild fish as well. I wish they would carry some fresh grass fed beef. This location seems to always be stocked with everything I came for. The employees are helpful and kind. The location is convenient for me to get other shopping done as well at Clarks across the street, right off of the I-10. Super busy most of the time, but thats not their fault. read more

great location right off the freeway. the parking lot is always a nightmare. best to go during the mornings or on weekdays. the 1st weekend of the month the parking lot and inside are a nightmare (full of people). only qualm about this location is they don't carry the same items as la quinta store, which is frustrating at times. the gasoline are pretty much always has a line. bring your patience with you when you buy gas. read more

Costco pharmacy personnel were extremely helpful in getting my prescription transferred from the Texas store to the Palm Desert store within a day. I was critically low on meds and they saved the day. Plus, I don't know where you can get meds cheaper without relying on insurance. read more

the following is my personal experience ,yours may be better..tried calling 5 times before leaving the house, no answer,, their website was having trouble but google maps said they were open until 8;30pm, so i made the trip....got there a few minutes before 7pm only to be told they were closed......... why not answer the phone and let people know?????? when i got home i checked on costco.com for this particular store, it said open until 8:30pm very frustrating experience, as a customer who pays money for goods at a store like this i am starting to learn to go without and spend less , when consumerism is gone in the us there should be no need to ask why ??? read more

I bought my Dad some clothes for his birthday and they didn't fit so I gave him the receipt thinking there would be no problem with him exchanging for a different size and the employee that dealt with him was extremely rude and said that he could not go exchange the clothing unless he had a membership card he shook the receipt in the air and said this is the kind of thing that is annoying people that don't have cards and they want to bring stuff back. He would only give him cash back. I was embarrassed he was treated like that. I would like management to know how he was treated. I'm not sure I want to keep my membership if this is how people are treated. read more

Located In the far corner of the store's parking lot. With 12 or more filling pumps, you have to enter all going one way. Gas here is much cheaper (as much as 15 cents) than the other surrounding gas stations, best place to fill up for that long drive. Clean and bright, for Costco members only. At peak hours, especially during the weekends, it can get crowded here and you may have to wait for an open pump. Gas comes from an off-brand refinery, I have had no problems with it. Costco buys the gas at wholesale and passes on the price to it's members. read more

This place has the cheapest gas in all of Southern California (I'm still figuring that one out - are they trucking the gas in from AZ?) - so when my travels brought me down to Palm Desert, I did not hesitate to put 10 gallons in my trusty 94 Mazda MPV. Now my van can tell the difference between brands - obviously Costco isn't the best gas money can buy, but it gets the job done, and I can take 87, no problem. This visit was an exception. The van "ping"ed audibly once I needed some power.. the MPV was just not going to have it. It was a pretty rough 60 miles driving home. I know Costco doesn't always stick with the same supplier, but I'd never had that kind of experience with Costco gas before. A word of caution for those who have "sensitive" cars like mine: you might want to go 91 for this location. And if you've been putting 91, I would stick to it. read more

Costco is awesome, and even more so now that I learned they do refills for your ink cartridges on your printer which I had been ordering online or buying at Staples at a premium cost. My cartridge was a double-sized, paid only $10.75. You do have to pick up in an hour once you drop it off but no biggie. And yes, I enjoy everything else this warehouse has to offer along with the good customer service. read more

This is why this location (Palm Desert, CA) is my favorite one in the desert! I went into the Optical Department and had a really pleasant experience. Scott was super friendly and cheerful. There was a snafu that required a few extra minutes to straighten out, but it wasn't even a bother because he had such a great attitude! Dr. McMahill's office was also really accommodating, as always. Recommendation: I came right when they opened, so I was able to be seen quickly. But that didn't last long... This Optical Dept. is always extremely busy, no matter what day of the week. Come early, right when Costco opens, to avoid the wait. read more
