I was ordering food with my friends at the self serve kiosk and hadn't finished ordering our food yet. A lady, Gail, who I assume was a manager, walked up to us and told us in a rude and impatient tone, to move along to the food pickup station. We were all very confused and finished our order but we were very upset at the fact that we seemed to be looked down upon, or as if we weren't deserving of the same respect everyone else got. read more

Writing this as a concerned customer whose healthy father is in the hospital with COVID. I shop at this location frequently and always have a pleasant experience. Today while shopping with my 3 and 1 year old I noticed a man walking around the store with his mask around his neck. I passed him several times and noticed not one employee asked him to put on his mask. I encountered him again near the checkout line. He was at the ATM. I approached him and respectfully mentioned masks should be worn around the mouth and face and would he kindly put his on. He ignored me. I explained my father was in the hospital with COVID. He sighed and said "I'm just taking out cash". I went over to the 2 guys who checked me out to ask them to say something to which they shrugged "we're always going to get people like that". They were a few feet away and just turned a blind eye. I was taken aback by their blasé attitude.I could easily describe these guys and you would know who I am referring to - but employees here are generally friendly and I hope you will do the right thing. I appreciate how uncomfortable it is for employees to confront customers about mask wearing - but if employees aren't holding customers accountable for protecting the health of themselves and others, this virus will continue to spread like wildfire. Please DO BETTER COSTCO so that selfish customers do not land people like my innocent, rule following father in the hospital. read more

I like Costco and will keep shopping there but my score is 100% because they do not seem to want to give you boxes for your items. You often have to ask them to give you one and they will just stick items all over your cart anyway. Then you have to figure out how to get it into your car and since everything is loose, you sometimes miss things. This is a nice Costco, that doesn't seem to be as busy as the North Hayden location. The Costco model is simple enough to understand. Whatever they pay, you pay that price, plus 14%. How's simple is that? If you choose to be an Executive Member ($110), over the $55 a year Gold Star (individual), you receive another 2% as a rebate at the end of the year. We have been members of both over the last twenty years, depending if we are going to make a large purchase. BTW, you can switch to Executive at any time. Just pay the extra $55.00 at Customer Service. Granted both Costco and Sam's Club (Walmart) are competing for the same customers. My experience has been that you are usually a fan and dedicate to your Wholesale Club over another. Though members of BJs back east are the most fanatical. I have found, that you will also believe to your last breath, as Yelp'er Andre E says, that your Club has: " Great Deals....clean aisles.....Great Service....reliable products....Great customer Service." It's almost takes on an religious article of faith! All of Costco's Kirkland brand products are execellant. I have found their Wine section to be unparalleled. I can come here even when I don't need to buy anything. This place is great and fully stocked with quality products. Don't like your item? Great chance Costco can take it back. No dogs allowed. Follow the rules. Don't be stupid and complain when you try to break the rules by bringing your pet. So annoyed with Karen D according to my receipt. I usually go through self checkout but I had a lot of stuff today and went through Karen's register. She picked up stuff and dropped it 4-6 inches once she rang it. Because it was so hard to set it back down? ? She dropped my bananas about 6 inches then proceeded to dump two other items (with decent weight) on top of my bananas. She took the specialty cinnamon, lemon, raspberry bread and flipped it upside down aggressively, to get to the bar code. I wouldn't care so much except that it is meant to be a gift I'm dropping off to a friend who had a death in the family. Now the top of the container is all smeared. It was just rude and unnecessary. I've been shopping here for many, many years and never had anyone throw my purchases around like that. read more

What is going on here? Are raising their prices with meat? I went to 3 markets today, IGA, Fry's then Costco. Those big pork roasts were $1.79 at IGA but $1.99 at both Fry's and Costco but Costco's are three times the size! I thought you were supposed to save buying in bulk. Since Fry's was not having a sale on their pork I just assumed it would be cheaper at Costco. Still can't beat their prices on gas and their prices on prime beef, last time I checked, was pretty good and they are great steaks. And I admit you can't beat Their rotisserie chicken for five dollars. Another favorite is their salmon patties. I cook them on the grill and they're awesome. I love this Costco. We go almost weekly. They always have great deals on alcohol. I also can't get enough of lunch at the restaurant. The hotdogs with fresh cut onions are perfectly steamed and a delicious combo of soft and crunch. I tried the smoothie recently and it's great. They're a chain of warehouse shops where people buy large quantities of stuff that seems like a great idea but they usually end up throwing half of it away because it expires before they can possibly consume it all. He thought it didn't have enough BBQ sauce, but it was still very good. I tasted the coleslaw and I liked it. Costco is good for a lot of things, but don't buy tires there. They don't check your spare pressure, don't have the equipment to align wheels, and don't honor warranties. I learned all three of those lessons the hard way. I started getting some wobbling in the steering wheel, so looked up Costco's alignment prices. They don't do it! Their website says they don't do alignments because the equipment is too expensive. So I went to an alignment place. They said an alignment wouldn't help because the tires were in such bad shape: dry rotted & badly worn. WHAT? Those tires were only 4.5 years old, with 17k miles on them. In disbelief, I looked for myself, and sure enough they were worn out. The tires were sold with a 60k warranty, so I went back to Costco. I was told there was a 3 hour wait, so made an appointment to come back another day. They agreed that one tire was bald and needed replacing, but the others weren't "legally bald" quite yet, and said the warranty didn't cover anything related to dry rot or wear from "alignment issues," which they deemed all of it was. They wouldn't even prorate anything for the one tire. Because alignment places won't align "old" tires, I basically need to purchase a new set at only 17k miles to get the alignment fixed, if that is indeed what the issue is. Who knows, it could've just been low quality tires. So save yourself grief and multiple trips, and take your car to a normal tire place that has all the equipment to do it properly the first time, will check your alignment when they put on new tires, and will honor warranties. It was a huge waste of time & money. Hey, at least the rotisserie chickens are good. read more

As many of us know, not all Costco's are the same. This one is impressive as it is very clean and well organized. The products that they offer here are not offered at all other locations across the valley. For instance, they have A5 Japanese Wagyu in the freezer section (happens to be the best steak I have ever cooked) followed by Prime Ribeye caps in the meat section. OPTICAL REVIEW: I got my glasses from here with my mom who helped me pick them out. The staff was kind, and patient. I was there about 45 minutes before I even decided on a frame because I am so picky. They really did a wonderful job by explaining different options with the frames. You can get transition where they go from normal glasses indoors and then into sunglasses the moment you step outdoors. I also got protection for my eyes from computer screen. The pricing here is wonderful and don't think you can beat it. I did however wish I fit into the high end brand name glasses but my face is too petite to be able to get the beautiful frames they had. It ranges from Gucci, Burberry, Bagdley Mishka, Coach, Michael Kors and so much more. STORE REVIEW: The staff is helpful and wonderful as we shopped through the store. Many of them asked if we needed assistance. I was impressed with how clean and well kept it was especially with how busy it was. Everything was well stocked and I was even able to purchase a few groceries here for wonderful prices. I love Costco. Only negative was I came at a time where there were no free samples. I love Costco! This location in particular does a fairly good job at fulfilling my needs. Sometimes, they can be a little inconsistent with what they have on the shelves - but I suppose that it's the nature of such warehouse/store. A trip to Costco is always a good time! I visit the photo center often because of their great quality, great pricing, and fast service. I love that while my pictures are printing i can also get all of my shopping done for the week! Upon walking in with our cart, there was someone cleaning all of the cart handles which is comforting with the current flu season! We've bought three Samsung, so called "Smart TV's" from Costco. All over $1200. Two are 4K UHD. Tried to pair a Samsung keyboard to them. Guess what Costco neglected to tell the customer? Ok first the parking lot is way to small for this Costco, apparently majority of their costumers are elderly people or handicapped, all the spots in front of the store are marked, so don't bother to try to park close, they care about the cleanliness of the outside I found a couple of employees cleaning and picking up some trash and wiping the electric carts for new costumers, I haven't see that in any other Costco....maybe because it's the "Paradise Valley Mall" Also this location has a big flat roof ? Which permit to keep the shopping carts protected from the sun a difference from the Costco on Hayden. Uhm the parking and the grocery carts return places are not compatible, also once outside if you drive your cart surrounding the store you can't find easily a ramp to get the shopping cart to your car, so it's not easy specially if your cart is full with your monthly supply of drinking water. But... the layout inside of the store is completely different than the Costco on Hayden, so I lost time, trying to figure out where to find what I needed, also the selection is limited because this is a smaller Costco, and yes there are less people...however the aisles are crowded and not the same width of a regular Costco so you will still have to deal with that specially if you are driving a heavy cart... And as I mentioned before there's a LOT of elderly people..so you need to be considered and wait for them and drive slow... I think I will stick with my regular Costco (Hayden), I will just wake up early to avoid the crowd. read more

And some times a hidden gem in the tool aisle My one gripe about this location is the food court, they opted to use Kirkland hot dogs over Hebrew national. Costco NOW deciding NOW it's mandatory the customers wear a mask to be able to shop in the club I pay to be in. One employee told me "it's the only way we can stay open" I seen a few other employees behind the customer service counter with no mask on and other costumers walking around without a mask on. Don't get me wrong I'm all for the safety of community and people around me but why now? Why not when things were started and really bad? And why are employees not wearing it at all times, or making sure it's enforced with everyone wanting around the club it it's now "mandatory" to be able to shop in the place I pay to be a member of.? I guess it's never to late to be safe and protect others but honestly this should have happened months ago when everyone was packed in these stores, not now that things a being relaxed. Gas prices at costco are running a full 12-15 cent cheaper then most other gas stations anywhere in the valley with the exception of maybe mesa and chandler. The Christmas stuff is up and the Halloween candy is out! Welcome to Costco! The new Costco at PV Mall is super nice! It just opened and it's so clean and new and everyone is so nice. The parking lot is a bit funky, the way it is positioned on the lot, you park on the sides of it. I walked up to get my brand new clean and unbroken cart, that feeling right there is enough to make me squeal with excitement, I hate grocery carts. It's laid out like every other single Costco, so nothing new in that department. The staff is really nice and helpful. The best part is that the location on Beardsley will probably half the traffic since this one went up on Cactus. read more

Terrible customer service! I called the tire center to get a quote on tires. I had previously gone to Discount tire for my tires but was looking to shop around. The guy at the tire center quoted me 300 for two tires and I asked if they had anything cheaper than that because it was out of my price range. I told him that Discount had quoted me 200 for two tires and did they have anything around that price range and he said in the most rude obnoxious way possible that "I should go to them (Discount) then". The correct and polite response would have been "No, sorry". I just I'll just stick with Discount cause at least they don't tell me to "go f**k myself" when I ask a question. read more

Wow. Yeah, this place is awful! I was doing an Instacart order yesterday and this location has ruined me ever going to another Costco again. First, there was no help anywhere when I had to squeeze through the high, stacked toilet paper and paper towels to get the toilet paper I needed. Then I'm on my last item and I was told by an employee to ask "one of the people upfront by check out with the red vest on". So I did, and instantly regretted it. He was absolutely rude! His vest read "supervisor" by the way. I asked him where a specific wine was and his response after looking it up was, " If I go look for it, I'll just be looking around like you were". Pardon?! Sir, go get the flipping bottle since it's back there. I tried to explain to him I already checked for it and didn't see it. He went back there with this attitude (I guess because he had to actually do work) and grabbed one similar (but not the correct one), handed it to me, and then sped away. Here's the kicker.. as I'm in the check out line is when he pretended to care and asked if it was the right one. DUDE!! Get away from me. He should have just walked away and avoided me the rest of the time I was in the store. As I'm checking out (keep in mind, I'm doing an Instacart order), I made it known that I had to separate orders. THEY MIXED UP THE ORDERS. I noticed and told them those were two separate orders again and her response was "Oh, yeah. Do you want like a box and separate them in the car". Uh, no ma'am. I stood right there and separated the orders. She was done scanning the items and then said, " your total is ..... No rush though". Finally, I get to the door and the lady checking my receipts was rude as well. read more
