Today the entrance and exit employees racist profile me. The caucasian female employee made me go around to enter from the entrance. Calling me stupid and I can't read and Made me go around instead of going through the exit. While all of this happened a caucasian walk through the exit to go to the tire center and the employees didn't say anything to him. If I have to go around why can't the other customer do the same and walk around. All I did today was return merchandise and was trying to shop. This made me very uncomfortable to shop, so I decided to leave. While leaving the employee at the entrance had the audacity to yelled out to me and stated " DON'T COME BACK ". Wow, I'm surprised it never occurred to me to write a review for Costco. I guess it's b/c it's neither spectacular nor horrible, so it just doesn't stick out in my mind. Costco is great for several things. 1) Tire center -- get your tires here and you'll have a place to go when they need to be patch or otherwise fixed for free. Prices have gone up but so have prices of tires gone up everywhere else. 2) Car batteries -- cheaper than everywhere else and if your battery doesn't last as long as Costco warranties it for, you can bring it back and they'll replace it free! My dad had to do that recently. 3) all kinds of foods for less -- not everything is cheaper here and if you don't have many mouths to feed buying in bulk may not work for you as the food may go bad before you have a chance to eat it up, but I like to buy flour tortillas, bananas, sundried tomatoes in olive oil, and quinoa here. Those are definitely way cheaper here than elsewhere. Yes, lines are long, and if you want help finding something, you'll have to hunt down an associate, but overall, Costco is a great place for good value. This location is rough b/c it's not in a good area and the parking situation here just sucks. But you get used to it over the years... haha.. It's important to remember to go at off times. I like Costco pizzas too and their rotisserie chickens are excellent for their size and quality. Their food court, though filled with unhealthy food choices, is a nice treat once in awhile. read more

You can not go wrong with COSTCO #southside. They always have whatever your not looking for and you will end up with at least $400 of it by the time you leave. I have a weakness for all bargains in bulk and this is the place dreams are made of for my kind of consumer. The quality is always 5 star, customer service 5 star and the products they endorse always of the *MACYS quality on a Foodmax budget. I have never been dissapointed when I leave this merchant but I do wish my allowance was in the Kardashian margin because I would not hold back! Yesterday I went to Costco, and out of unexpected surprise this management sold Ahi Tuna Poke! I was excited, my mom and I ordered half a pound of Spicy Ahi Poke which was delicious yet expensive for the price of $9 - $16.99/lb. [craving] I'm leaving to Hawaii tomorrow, and I hope to be able to try the original poke salads and compare. Also they now sell the Harmless Harvest Raw Coconut Water, which is my favorite and good price since I'd pay a lot for one bottle normally at whole foods. read more

You really can't beat the price of a extra long Polish dog at Costco. I won't eat a dog often for lunch, but maybe once a month it is OK. $1.62 including a drink and tax. The pizza is better than most of the cheaper pizza chains and the price is about 1/2 of what they charge. They also have 2 or 3 other sandwiches including BBQ brisket and a big salad. MY neighborhood Costco...i love this place, i love Costco! it makes for a quick lunch for under $5, especially the yogurt swirl (drools). It's large, packed, and crazy. The parking lot hell, like all Costco is a nightmare, not Costco's fault, just the people behind the steering wheel. Once inside, you're welcomed to Costco (queue the heavenly music and smell). Samples a galore, as you walk around looking for something, maybe nothing at all, but you'll must likely walk out with something in your hand. Also, Costco changed their TV policy so returns are only good for 6mo. This, IMHO, kind of sucks because their prices were never the best, but their return policy was AWESOME. I don't think I would buy a TV from then since this has changed. read more

Two pack pillows for $10.49. Firm support. Lets see if they're comfy else it'll be returned. Kept the pillows! They're pretty comfy for the price I paid. I don't like my pillow to be too soft or too high. Probably not the best but for the price it is great! I always spend a lot at Costco if I look around too much so I try to just get what I need and get out. They carry stuff in bulk so it does save money but there are certain things you won't find here. I gotta say this Costco really impressed me. Mostly because, my friends and I went shopping with three of those shopping flat bed thingies and managed to maneuver quite well (the place was HUGE)even with all the shoppers. It was also really great because we filled those three flat carts with &1750.00 worth of groceries and didn't have to stand in line very long at all. In fact, they called someone else to do the ringing (so reminded me of "Employee of the Month" and had others organizing and helping us pull our carts to the door. We also had help from to guy employees loading all that stuff into the van! The whole trip took two hours but it was a lot of fun! read more

I love costco in general! Im giving this place three stars because it is always packed here, rain or shine. The parking lot is large, but the parking spaces are all cramped together. Their is always a huge line to get gas too. Expect to be in costco for at least 30 minutes, even if you are just grabbing water. parking+Long lines+ crazy people. read more

I just wanted to leave a MOST EXCELLENT review on the manager of this Costco when I was there. It was July 1st 2020. I got there about 5:30 and it was very crowded and it was a very hot day. I had returns and as I waited in the return line for 15 or 20 minutes it hadn't moved at all. I knew I still had a lot of shopping to do and I wasn't even close to the front of the line for my return. Everybody in line was kind of grumbling. I told the people in the line that I was going to go look for a manager and see what was up. I did find the manager and his name is Ron. I had also talked to the one return clerk and he said he just needed more help. I told Ron about the situation and he said he would try to find somebody who could assist in returns. Another 10 minutes went by and we were all in the same spot and nobody came to help the clerk. I left the line again to go look for Ron and tell him that nothing happened. he apologized profusely and told me that he was very sorry but many people had called in that day and they were very short-staffed and it takes special training to be on the return register. I asked him if he could just go and assist and he said he did not even have the special training for returns. It wasn't looking good for all of us standing in line there. So I suggested that maybe he could just go get a pizza and give everybody a piece to standing in line. At this point I had been in the line for about 40 minutes. He said that he would do that. And he did it! He went and got a fresh cheese pizza and had it cut into small pieces and with a stack of plates and paper towels and fresh rubber gloves he came over to the return line and apologized to everyone in line that it was taking so long and offered a piece of pizza to every single person that was in the line! From what I could see every person took a piece, including all the children. He just opened the box and people took their own paper plate and got their own slice on to their own plate. Finally another person came to help at the return line and we finally got our returns taking care of. I just wanted to say again that this was really going the extra mile when this manager was in a pickle. By the way, everybody that I dealt with in the store whether it was clerks on the floor, or the cashier's or the return clerk and especially the manager were extremely nice and professional and friendly and helpful. I had never been to this Costco before because I live close to Placerville, California but if I'm ever way down in South Sacramento again you can be sure I will go back there. I wanted to take this much time to write this review because I am so happy and I just want to lift up Ron as a sterling example of being flexible in a tough situation and making everyone happy. The Foster Farms chicken packages at this Costco somehow always manage to get pierced or are leaking. In which case, as you are looking through the packages to get one that isn't punctured or leaking your hands, you get incredibly coated with chicken juice. This Costco does not have hand sanitizer on hand or paper towels for you to clean up!! The dispensers in that immediate area are there are empty.... all the dispensers in that Costco were empty!! I asked one of the butchers if he had any hand sanitizer ... instead he replied, "I think I have paper towels." Dude, that isn't hand sanitizer.... This Costco is essentially a carbon copy of the Costco near downtown. Or the one in Woodland. Or the one in Rancho Cordova. What I'm trying to say is that all Costco's are virtually identical, which is quite a comforting thing when you know what you want and know where it should be. There are some slight differences in the layout, but not enough to confuse you if you are used to visiting a different store. My first time here was a quick and easy in and out. Produce. Bam. Paper towels. Bam. Distracted by the guy demonstrating the Vitamix? Guilty. But that's what great about this or any Costco - there is always some new sample, some new toy, some product you never thought you needed but end up grabbing an extra shopping cart for just because you can't live without it. I came in on Sunday at around 7:30pm, I bought rotisserie chicken along with a few other items. Everything was great until I get home and my kid takes a huge bite of the drumstick and tells me its slimy. I take a closer look and it is raw. Completely raw! I called Costco only to be asked to return the food for a full refund. This was around 8:20pm when they are almost closing. I informed them, I will not be able to get back in time as I had to find another meal for my kid. I asked if I can return it the next day to which they did not give me a clear answer. I love Costco so much. This is our first time back in about six months. Just renewed our account and I kid you not I feel like a kid in a candy store. Of course they have food cooking everywhere. I love that about this place, because its like you get to try before you buy and how awesome is that.Me personally I love to try, I be trying everything and when I like it I get my husband to get his so I can have that too. Costco is a really good place to go when you are having a party, catering, or just need almost anything in your house from toothpaste to foods. It's organized! The staff are friendly, always willing to show you where everything is. I love going before 5 because they have free samples which most of the time are yummy! Costco is the place to buy alcohol! It's the cheapest to me by far! I get my contacts from Costco which they have really good prices on contacts! I use to get gas from costco probably a couple years ago. It's pretty cheap. It's also always crowded which is a waste of time! I love love love the foodcourt! Chicken bake! Pizza! Chocolate dipped ice cream with almonds! I'm getting hungry just talking about it! Costco is the place for whole sale items! They have everything here for a good price, but becareful sometimes when you grab 3 items it can easily be 70 bucks spent! This place has a section for optometry, pharmacy, photo center, auto center, gas station, good & cheap food court, and not to mention walking around the store can get you full with all the samples they give you. Probably the last choice Costco I'd go to if I had a choice, but sometimes due to convenience, I find myself at this location. As mentioned in previous Costco reviews, all Costcos offer the same. Items in bulk for half the price. This particular Costco, one of its perks is the variety of items they offer. You can definitely find more Asian products (due to the customers they serve in this area), and you can also find the BEST bucket of lumped blue crab. However, aside of the variety that they do offer, everything else about this Costco, to me, is a nightmare. It's always extremely crowded, parking is a nightmare, and count on waiting for FOREVER for the gas line. They have all you may be looking for, just beware of the crowds. I like this Costco. Having gone to multiple locations (at least 12), this one is definitely efficient and pretty quick. Don't get me wrong. The lines can absolutely be insane...but not the worst I've ever seen. They normally have everything I am looking for. I picked up a few passport photos the other day. It was super fast. By the time I finished my shopping...bam! Ready! The areas are clean and the $5 rotisserie chicken is always plentiful. So this is where I see everyone get it all wrong. Don't look around and circle the parking lot for a space right in front of the entrance. You're blocking traffic!!! And...by the time I park a few rows down, walk inside, shop, and check out...you'll still be waiting for that space. Yes, everyone can afford to put in a few extra steps!
