Costco! I love and hate this place. I come here at least every month! Just a big warehouse with everything you ever need -- food, drinks, clothing, books, electronics, cookware, car stuff, gardening stuff, and more! There are some good deals here, but I usually check their coupons for even better deals! This place is organized and I been coming here over the years so I'm use to the layout of the store whereas if I go to the Costco near arden I tend to get lost. Hmm this place is big and crowded (people don't know how to steer their carts or move to the side), it's hard to find a worker if you have any questions or need help, and checkout lanes are always long. There's a food court inside and the food is cheap and it's filling. There's also free samples :D & Gas is cheap here, but lines are long too! read more

Costco is like the Disneyland for adults. With great deals, Costco has everything you could possibly need. The customer service is great as well. There is always staff around the store on the floors ready to answer any questions. The food at the Foodcourt are also amazing and delicious! The whole pizza is so worth the $10, as the pizzas are bigger than places such as Pizza Hut or Dominos. The polish dogs are delicious and well worth it as well. Only downside to the foodcourt is that the tables are always dirty. Staff members should come out once in awhile to wipe down tables. But overall, Costco is amazing! read more

March 5 at 2:30pm waiting for membership for over 30 minutes. Only 1 gal is working and the other 3 gals are just chatting. When I asked if they can get additional help, one of the chatters (Name tag Karoa) yelled at me only while I and other customer are complaining). She is disciplinary. well..where do I start. First, I'd like to say, that for many years we have enjoyed Costco. Since we didn't really have much that we would buy there, we rarely had any problems. But over the years, it seems products we liked, were discontinued. First, it was Yellow Tail wine. Then, a certain beer brand. We started to get worried when Costco started increasing the number of pallets of Kirkland bottled water and there would only be one pallet of Arrowhead water. So far, they still have at least one pallet. I'm not sure when they changed this, but they stopped carrying Minute Maid frozen OJ and replaced it with their own Kirkland brand. It was very good and we continued buying frozen OJ. Now about 7 weeks ago, we needed more frozen OJ. I didn't see it in the regular refrigerator so I went looking for it in the other freezers...nothing! I looked once more thinking I could have missed it..but I couldn't find it. Two weeks ago we needed frozen OJ again. I looked in the regular place they've always stocked it..but it was not there. So again, I went around all the freezers 5 times!...I asked a worker and he said if they had it it would be in the same place they have always stocked it. So I looked there again...a sixth time. Now, two weeks later, I again looked for frozen OJ...and none could be found. Its strange that they can't even stock their own product..Kirkland frozen OJ. While I was there, I thought I'd pick up some muffins. When I was loading them in the car, I noticed one was missing from the six pack. I could have gone back in...but,...I just got in the car and left. Just tired of my experiences there. Costco! What's to say other than "this is a great place to buy in bulk". Granted they have been re organizing the floor plan more frequently, but it does help to highlight all their product - plus it makes you walk around more to find the products you need (which means you find other stuff to buy). I usually come on the weekends which is always busy - I suggest coming right when they open or right when they close. Weekends usually mean plenty of vendors that are offering food samplings (if you come @ lunchtime you could probably sample enough and be full). Great way to showcase product. All in all, great prices if you can use the bulk (or bigger family) size. read more

Been coming here since I was a kid! I used to love coming here for all the samples, because they would always have the newest treats. The candy would come in wholesale quantity so I would be stacked for weeks. The had the best deals on electronics from televisions to cameras. I love just walking around the warehouse while my mother shops. I rarely get time to shop these days but it's always interesting. I gave it four stars because the lines are so long. This is extremely smart on there end because while you are in line you can smell and see the food court. The chicken bake, pizza, smoothies, hotdogs, and of course the churros. I went recently and purchased a big 48 bar box of snickers for no reason. To compliment those snickers I bought a huge box of Sensodyne toothpaste. Pretty efficient trip just not a fan of the traffic inside and out. read more

I'm tired of getting bad produce here. The lines are long and SLOW, to return anything, and so I usually just don't return something like produce. But this is the third time, I opened a bag of "GOLDENPOTATOES", and they are almost all GREEN. for 2 weeks they are still green. They come in a tinted bag, with tinted netting on one side so it's not easy to see,,, but no more for me. Also had asparagus that was slimy. Didn't return Had cheeses that molded, and should not have. I'm very careful and my frig is very cold!!! Just never again. read more

This is a zoo of a Costco. Serving the little Saigon area of Sac, this place is always bustling with cars and people. The layout of this particular Costco's parking lot and gas leave a lot to be desired. The stock in this one is also a lot less and less variety than say, Roseville. It's packed and somewhat disorganized, but the workers are very nice. read more

But the gas station on that other hand is an atrocious wait in an atrocious line. And I ain't got time for that. I had a really great experience and I think its important to make sure others know about exceptional service. I really needed a platter for an event for youth and I never knew the normally had to be ordered in advances. However, this angel names Patricia from the Deli section stepped up and blessed us. She showed me the process but more importantly, instead of saying "we're sold out" and clocked out for her shift... she said let me see if I can consolidate the other smaller ones into a platter for you. We are very grateful. It saved us money and was more presentable. AND she did this at the end of her shift before she went home. YES! Membership department needs training. They told me I couldn't renew my membership without putting a credit card on file for automatic renewal. I explained to the Costco worker he could not force me to put a credit card on file for automatic renewal. He gave me back my ID and asked me to leave. Unreal, then several other employees said the same thing. Costco employees are rude and unprofessional and costing there company to loose money by denying new memberships. read more

Costco, who doesn't love shopping here. They got the best rib eye meat and best croissant bread, although they raised the price to 50%. Gotta love Costco pizza, my kids are never tired of this pizza. Look at what we get in return for our exhaustive wait & patience: Bulk items at INCREDIBLE PRICES, high quality merchandise (again at incredible prices!!!), tires & service at non comparable pricing and benefits, 2% return of investment (if you are an EXECUTIVE MEMBER like me ), great merchandisers.... Showing off new & interesting products, Gasoline pricing lower than anywhere in town!!!! Yummy samples all throughout the store (of which you could consider a full meal if you planned it right!!!! LoL), speaking of.... Delicious take-out at lower pricing than ANY TAKE OUT anywhere!!!! Helpful and courteous staff that will either walk you to find something, or point you in the right direction. Parking lot is always busy, lines are always long, and customers walking out of the store don't know how to properly walk in a straight line. Everything you'd expect at Costco. One great thing about this Costco - they're always sampling food whenever I go (which includes weekdays). This isn't so much of a review of the CostCo itself. It's fine, it's a Warehouse Store. Buy in Bulk, friendly knowledgeable employees, and of course the food court (that deserves 5-Stars on its own). No...this is a review of the people who GO to CostCo. I think I'll start off with a quote from the late, great Obi-Wan Kenobi, as ol' Obes said, and I quote, "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy." The place is wall to wall people, and 99.9 percent of them think they are in there by their lonesome, NOOOOO one else around, except them and their 7-13 children. The carts/trucks at CostCo are about the side of a mid-size sedan, and the lanes are about the size of a 2-lane road...and everyone walks their G.D. cart RIGHT DOWN THE CENTER OF THE ISLE!!!! Then they park it RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ISLE when they need to grab their case of 1250 Slices of Kraft Singles. And gods forbid if there are free samples!!! I've seen political riots that were more organized and peaceful than people going after those 10 precious Dixie cups of Teriyaki Chicken that just got pulled out of the toaster oven. A trip for a 5 pound can of Que Bueno, a giant bag of chips and a case of beer should NOT make a person consider NOT bringing children into this world...but it does that EVERY DAMNED TIME I GO!!! read more

Just about any Costco has the usual goods. Of the times I have been to this one, staff hasn't done anything spectacular. They do their job enough to get by. Their food station is inside so you will need a membership to order hotdogs, pizza, salads, chicken bakes, etc. Costco is always busy during the weekends. Parking lot is always full and people fighting for a spot. My car did get broken into here one year. After I noticed it, I went back inside and asked if they had cameras. They flat out said no and end of conversation. Since the area of neighborhood isn't great, this is a very common issue with vehicle break ins. Go to Costco during the day if you can. read more

I come here often but today the cashier I went to was so rude. My mom had my dad's Costco card and yeah I get it, I already know that the person in the picture has to be the one there to use it. But anyways, so my mom and I waited in line while my dad was somewhere roaming the store, so obviously he would give the card to my mom. When my mom gave them the card, the one ringing her up ask her "whose the one on the card?" with a rude tone. And kind of shoved the card back in her face, I said, "that's my dad." He rolled his eyes so far to the back of his head and sighed so loudly. And the other guy who was putting our things away in the cart spoke to the cashier and said "just let it go it's one of 'those' days". I have shopped at Costco since 1993 at Price Club before the acquisition and she is by far the worst employee I have ever come across. It's official. This Costco has jumped the shark. Costco Lady: Have you heard about our Executive Membership? Me: Yes. Thank you, but I'm not interested. CL: Well, it earns you money. You get money back at the end of the year. Me: I know what it is. No, thank you. CL: Why not? You would get back two percent of what you spend. Me: That's not a very good return rate. I would rather invest that 50 dollars in stock. CL: Yeah, but you get money back. At the end of the year, you have more money than you started with. Me: I had it last year, and I earned four dollars. CL: But maybe you'll spend more money this year. Me: Maybe, but maybe not. Essentially it boils down to whether or not I want to loan Costco 50 dollars. I do not. CL: You aren't loaning money. You get it back. Me: So I pay 50 dollars and maybe get it back, plus maybe a little more? I don't want to loan Costco any money. CL: But... The conversation continued for several more, much less amusing exchanges. AND they didn't give me a box. Since what we were looking for was sold out at the Arden and Sunrise locations (no way I was going down to Roseville) I drove to this location off of the Mack Road exit last night. Before I was to be horrified by the traffic headed to Elk Grove/Laguna area, I realized I qualified for the carpool lane, so we zipped down within a span of 10 minutes versus 20 minutes. This Cost Co is huge. In fact, I think it may be a little larger because the food court is located inside, rather than outside. Plus, the minute I walked in, I felt like I was in the minority majority.........so much for this twinkie. They had a larger dvd collection here, as well as clothing as well. My sister was able to pick up an oxford here that was lacking in sizes at the other locations and we found the electric blanket we were looking for. I picked up Dodgeball and Platoon for $8.49 each (Platoon was for my papa's x-mas present) and on our way out, we also decided on the $7.49 lemon bundt cake that I've tried at a potluck before. This is pretty much one of the best dense, moist lemon cakes I have had at a mass produced level. Their three layered chocolate cake is a deal at $14.00: three moist levels of chocolate cakes ensconced between thick layers of cark chocolate frosting. My first bite was lockjaw........it was so dense and thick, that I was thankful for the scoop of vanilla ice cream that came as the accompaniment. Lines moved quickly here, especially since they had pre-scan beforehand. We were out of there in about 20 minutes, shopping included. read more

Love this Costco!!! Most friendliest workers I have encountered at any Costco. Don't listen to others when they say this Costco is in a ghetto location. Ghetto people usually don't shop at Costco since it involves a membership fee. In my personal opinion, the membership fee pays off! Being in a centralized asian location, they always have hip asian products which I really appreciate. EX: Moon cake, chocolate mushrooms, Lee's coffee, etc They also sell poke now!!! I've only tried the shoyu poke which tasted alright. Nonetheless, I appreciate Costco for always bringing in new items to their store. My brother put in a request for yams and a few days later, Costco was selling them. A friend of mine put in a request for KIND bars and the same thing happened. Don't be afraid to put in request if you want to buy it from Costco. I also love how great Costco treats their customers. I usually get my printer ink refilled here but on multiple occasions, it hasn't worked. Costco always has a no hassle refund policy so I can buy with confidence. **Be aware before you buy all your items at Costco. Some things are not cheaper just because they are sold at Costco. Comparable to SoCal Costcos, this one has has a higher selection and variety of items. I believe it is larger so that they are able to accommodate to the space. I like the fact that they allow you have to have the app or just the book without scanning now so that you can still get the coupons. =] Food Court - There is line which you can pay for your food court items in regular check-out line and just pick up at the food court line. I mean that saves double orders and all I thought that was pretty neat;. Overall: I would say people here are not as pushy and rude as the LA Costcos, where it just jam packed. Review just for the Hawaiian Poke in the seafood section So where can you find the best Poke is in Sacramento? Mikuni or some high end sushi restaurant? Far from it. Oto's Japanese restaurant? Nope try again! L&L in Pocket (Best L&L in Sac)? You'd think but they seem to be a little off. The correct answer is Costco in South Sacramento believe it or not! If you ever had some good poke from a respected local spot like Tanioka in Waipahu, HI this is the closest I've had to their Limu Poke. FIrst of all they use limu a type of seaweed. Secondly, the limu they use actually has a little bit of thickness to it. It's not exactly like the real thick ones they have on the islands but it's not stringy like all the other California ones I've tried. Finally, all recipes I've tasted for poke always are too complicated. They all do too much by adding all sorts of ingredients. Costco on the other hand keeps it simple I swear they either took the recipe directly from Costco Hawaii or someone there has actually had decent poke. read more
