Nothing beats Costco cheap gas prices and food I swear. If I had to compare between Sam's Club, I would say Costco would be better. Costco offers more options and higher quality stuff. Their deals are really good for food and house hold items. Their hot dog and drink combo is always a must. I love their chicken bake. The their pizza is okay. I find it very greasy but cheap for a large pizza. I like how there are many gas fuel stations with the signs that show if a car is present or not. Their vanilla and chocolate ice cream is very creamy. Only down side, it can get very busy and makes it hard to find a place to eat and even park in the parking lot. I try to go during week days when it's less busy.

Came here the other night. It's getting close to CNY and have to check out the Asian stuff. Their lot is really big just like most of the Costco's so no problem finding parking. A lot of plants this time of year. Fruit trees and they sell them with fruit already growing on them. Wow they have Hibiki 30 year aged for $5549.99 which is 400 - 500 off the regular price depending where you look. It's not made anymore so you need to get it now if you really want it. The case was way up top of the shelf so no one could steal it. haha They had crab at 6.99 so we had to get it here . SO many different things. Love it. A case of king crag legs for $319 wow tempting. Only spent little over 200 bucks so not bad this time . Perfect place to find the great Asian items at this store.

I've been shopping at this Costco location (as my default) for many many years. Now that there is an Elk Grove location, the crowd at this Stockton Blvd location is way more pleasant to deal with. We go to Costco for household basics (detergent, dish washing liquid, paper towels, toilet paper) as their prices are lower compared to other places. We find that the prices for certain items can't be beat here, like eggs, certain meats, cakes, clothing. I actually love their seasonal items (which usually can be found near the front (just shy of the cash registers). And, they also occasionally have sales/discounts on top of their already reasonable prices. (Example: $50 off their whole prime ribs, no rain checks though)

This location tends to carry more Asian related items than other Costco that I have been to. They are usually crowded with long lines even at the food court. Since I am an executive member, I have early access to enter before the general members. During that early hour, it is nice and quiet. The staff here is a hit and miss. Some are nice, some are rude/mean. Self check out is towards the pharmacy area. When you need to make a return, you will need to scan your card at the entrance and then cross over to the membership service side. Plenty of parking but can be difficult to find a spot on the weekends.

I love Costco! It's always a treat for the $5 roast chicken, the $1.50 hotdogs, and all the other great deals! Specifically, I wanted to review the new food court offerings. The caramel brownie sundae was quite good. The brownie bites were a little processed in texture, likely from another item in the store. The caramel was a little processed, flavor-wise, but a familiar one that I enjoyed. The soft serve was the same that are in the other sundaes. Overall, I would give this a 3/5. The calzone is quite good. At a higher price point of $6.99, it is a big piece of food. Reminiscent of the combo pizza, just more bread and sauce. There is not a lack of toppings inside, but I don't know if I would order it again, especially given the regular pizza and hotdog quality and prices. 3/5.

9/16/2025: Will ANYONE explain WHY this Costco's inventory isn't available at other Costcos, EH? That's the ONE QUESTION I wish the Costco CEO would provide a succinct answer. Moreover, I'd like requesting ordering at FOLSOM/El Dorado Hills the following items: Organic Calamansi Juice, organic JuJubes, organic Puer Tea Wheel, organic Korean Red Ginseng, organic Bok Choy, Ox' corned beef, organic Mochi, organic Wasabi paste, organic Fettuccini Alfredo sauce, i.e., just naming a few items I wish I could purchase at FOLSOM rather than driving ALL THE WAY SOUTH to Stockton Street Sacramento CA--(hint-hint) because THERE ISN'T A COSTCO located in Placerville CA . . . CAPISCHE????

Went in on Friday August 1st at around 2 PM. I normally don't even bother with the samples but I had the kids with me and they were hungry. They wanted to try some ice cream. An older lady was at the station with ice cream with some kind of breading/muffin. We walked up to her and she did not say anything. Ignored us. Continued plating the sample cups. Even paused and admired her work for a bit. Still not saying anything. So when I attempted to pick one up after standing there for a few seconds, she snapped at me and told me I am not to grab it. I have to grab it only from a specific tray. She did not say it nicely. Sounded more like scolding a child. I'm quite embarrassed and said okay. Needless to say, I walked away in shame and didn't even want to look at anything in that area. She could have said it nicer. She could have acknowledged me and told me while I was standing there watching her. She didn't have to wait til I made a move to shame me. I will probably never touch these samples again. No customer service. Instead of selling/advertising, she's more like chasing people away. I spent a good $350 that day, none on ice cream.

As fate would have it, I took the car to the dealership for a recall and they discovered that one of the tires had a small bubble. I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate almost two years with the car by treating her to some new tires. I reached out to Chris who quoted me $1,200 (including manufacture warranty) for four thick profiled performance tires, which was $1,300 cheaper than the quote that I received from the dealer. Chris quickly placed the order for the tires and called me the next day to inform me that they had arrived. Since the establishment is generally very busy on the weekends, I decided to visit on a weekday in hopes for a quicker experience. Thankfully, there was only one car ahead of me when I arrived. Chris instructed me to pull the car into the shop and immediately began removing the tires (I'm always impressed by a hands-on owner). Less than 30 minutes later, the job was done and I was in the office checking out. As Chris implied, I can confirm that the ride quality of my car has significantly improved. I have been a customer for seven years and have referred many friends and family to the shop. I left with an oil change, 4 new tires, new spark plugs, and air filters. I've held out on an oil change because I was too lazy to drive to one of those drive thru oil changing places. My entire family brings our vehicles here, and for good reason. If you can, ask for Ali. He's handled everything for us, from routine maintenance to larger repairs, and the work has consistently been solid and reliable. For context, this shop is essentially maintaining a fleet of vehicles for our family business, and they've earned that trust through honest assessments and fair pricing. I also know my way around a vehicle, so I can tell when someone is being straightforward versus trying to upsell--and I've never had that issue here. Yes, the current economy means car repairs everywhere feel a bit more expensive than they used to. But what you're paying for here is transparency, quality work, and excellent customer service--and that's hard to beat. If you're looking for a mechanic you can actually trust, this place is worth checking out.

What was most disappointing wasn't even the noise itself--it was the response when I returned to the shop. I was told that "all cars do that" and that I would need to pay for a diagnostic. No one offered to recheck the wheel installation, inspect their work, or verify that the vehicle was safe to drive. I'm not claiming the shop caused the problem, but mistakes can happen during any service. Tire installations and rotations involve human work, and I expected at least a basic inspection when a new noise appeared immediately after the service. Instead, my concerns were dismissed. As a customer, it's frustrating to leave wondering whether the vehicle is safe to drive and feeling like no effort was made to investigate the issue. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this shop. Don't go here please go across the street your safety is very important!!!!! Thank you for your response. To clarify, my concern was never that a tire rotation requires disassembly of suspension or steering components. My concern was that a knocking noise appeared immediately after the tire installation and rotation, despite the vehicle not exhibiting this symptom beforehand. I did not ask for a free suspension diagnosis. I asked that the shop verify the work that had just been performed. As a customer, I expected basic checks such as wheel torque, wheel seating, and tire clearance before being directed toward a paid diagnostic service. Had someone simply said, "Let's double-check our work first and make sure everything related to the tire service looks correct," I likely would have had a very different impression of the experience. I understand that the noise may ultimately be unrelated to the tire service. However, when a new symptom appears immediately after service, I believe it is reasonable for a customer to expect the work performed to be verified before additional charges are discussed. America's Tire generally feels like a good place to purchase tires. However, based on my…read moreexperience, they need stronger technical training when it comes to alignment work. Since they're relatively new to offering alignments, I would recommend caution when using this service. We brought a vehicle in for an alignment check while purchasing new tires. The initial "before" measurements showed both front wheels at +0.15° to the right, with a steer-ahead of +0.14 to the right°. This flagged red on the machine, but every other specification, including total tie was fully within spec. For those less familiar with alignments: a condition like this typically points to one of two things, either the steering wheel is slightly off-center, or the alignment machine was not properly set up. In this case, I knew the steering wheel was centered prior to the visit. While that alone doesn't guarantee a perfect alignment, we had no drivability issues and were simply being proactive to protect our new tires. Despite this, they proceeded to perform and charge for an alignment adjustment that was not necessary. When I reviewed the printout, I explained to both the service advisor and the manager, Nick, that the adjustment wasn't justified. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, Nick engaged in a prolonged and public argument. His main position was essentially: "You trusted us to do the alignment, so why question it now?", which he repeated multiple times. This approach was unprofessional and dismissive of a legitimate technical discussion. Eventually, Nick agreed to issue a refund. He never acknowledged their error. He fully stated that that he recommends next time I stay on site for several hours next time so that I can watch them do the alignment in the open bays. After leaving the shop, the steering wheel was no longer centered. They effectively introduced the issue they were claiming to have fixed. What was particularly concerning was Nick's misunderstanding of how alignment systems actually work. While the machines themselves are precise, they still rely on proper setup and human input, especially when centering the steering wheel. The process involves visually aligning the wheel and locking it in place, which leaves room for error. To put it into perspective: they claimed the steering wheel was corrected by 0.1°. That level of deviation is nearly impossible to detect visually and would not cause tire wear. In other words, the "problem" they "corrected" was negligible, but the result was a steering wheel that was now visibly off-center. The most frustrating part of the experience was spending 15 +minutes debating with someone, Nick, who did not fully understand the system, yet was completely confident in arguing about it in front of customers. When I realized that he lacked the experience. I tried to explain to him my technical background 20 + years in the industry and I'm an industry educator. He dismissed my sharing, my technical background with him simply by stating well why didn't I just take care of the alignment then? It's actually could've been a really good moment for Nick to learn something valuable. About how alignment machine machines work and be about customer service. But now I will share my experience here. Overall: good place for tires, but I would think twice before trusting them with alignment work at this time.
