Well I started going to Costco just to buy Dog food . They had the type the breeder recommended for this large dog and that was it . Little by little I was hooked . The hot dogs used to have sauerkraut which is the best for $1.50 can never beat it. The prescriptions are always cheaper make me want to throw rocks at Walgreens the pharmacist is helpful and will work with you. Then you have the wine if you are a shopper a real shopper you can get great deals here but you have to keep your eyes open. The berries is one of the reasons I come here now I can't live without berries fresh ones and they are here . I only do the blackberries and raspberries cause blueberries have to have a tang to them or I won't buy them. You can forget about the 90day return on electronics used to be 6 months until it was probably abused. I would have to say that this store has the best return policy in the world. That's how I shop I have to no the return policy before I even go to a store. I am the return queen. There is the chicken which is I guess their door opener. Everyone wants the chicken why not easy cheap and good. The appliances have longer warranties . They ship to your home usually without a fee if it's not groceries. They really cannot be beat. Hell you can even furnish your home here and be happy. Two days ago they had a blackout which was wild but everyone stayed cool and made it to the register and they closed the store . Exciting

$2.99 for this? and it was HELLA good too! always a fun time at this costco. They had yummy fudge sickles as part of their sampler items.

I've been shopping at Costco Wholesale for many years, and it remains my go-to place in the city when I need to stock up on essentials. While this location is smaller than many suburban Costco warehouses around the Bay Area, it has the big advantage of being the only Costco within San Francisco itself, which saves a long drive and makes it especially convenient for us city residents. The store is generally well organized, clean, and consistently stocked with the core Costco items I rely on. Selection may be a bit more compact compared to larger locations, but I've rarely had trouble finding what I came for. Parking is available in the attached garage, which is a major plus in this part of the city, though it can fill up quickly during peak hours. Like most urban Costcos, this location can get very busy, especially on weekends, holidays, and late afternoons. If you're able to shop earlier in the day or during off-peak hours, the experience is much more relaxed and efficient. With a little timing strategy, this Costco delivers a reliably positive shopping experience and remains a practical, dependable option for city living.

Have checked out this San Francisco Costco location several times. It's definitely not as updated or spacious as some of the South Bay branches, but still -- I'm grateful there's a Costco in the city at all. Here's the rundown of what I got from the food court: - All-Beef Hot Dog (with mustard & relish) -- the iconic $1.50 combo lives on. Juicy dog, snappy casing, nestled in a sesame bun, brightened up with yellow mustard and sweet relish. Still the best value in America - Fountain Soda (included with the combo) -- access to all of Costco's drink options; I went with the iced tea - Pepperoni Pizza Slice -- a reliable classic. Gooey cheese, crisp edges, and hearty pepperoni. Satisfying, fresh, and served piping hot - Chocolate Sundae (vanilla soft serve with chocolate sauce) -- a generous swirl of soft serve doused in chocolate syrup. Pretty massive for one person -- better shared - Chicken Bake -- golden and cheesy on the outside, stuffed with chicken breast, bacon, green onion, and melted cheese inside. Savory, filling, and surprisingly flavorful for something under $4 All of this came out to just around $10 total -- a wildly good value. You can order from the registers or via the touchscreen kiosks near the pickup window. Service is fast and efficient, since they're constantly making batches to keep up with demand. The ambience is classic Costco: loud, bustling, and a bit cramped compared to other locations, but you can usually grab a standing table or snag a seat if you're patient. If you know, you know -- Costco food court is unbeatable for the price and consistency.

I usually come here for the groceries. I usually go for the chicken vegetables, fruits, paper towel, towels, cleaning supplies. Service here can be slow just because there is a lot of people, but it's definitely worth it because everything is bulk and it is cheaper to buy in bulk. It is just a lot more heavier stuff to carry.

I like to visit Costco when traveling just to see the different items they carry for the local market. We stopped by this Costco when it was raining and were very impressed with the covered parking lot of this Costco. Parking in San Francisco is like gold. We walked around and picked up a few items that I don't think I can find them at my local Costco.

I am very happy now. Costco changed the policy before 10 AM. You have to be executive member. feel less people come in at 9am make it easier come shopping, I really enjoyed coming to this location easy parking and some staff is nice and helpful. One stop for everything grocery, clothing and more, I come twice a month here , more I shop more savings

Confused faces and frustrated people at the front since they had to wait till 10 am to get in. Never go there when you are hungry. I got the roast chicken. The combo sushi. I tell myself don''t do it next time. Not worth it. The Maven black sesame ice cream made in San Jose. Really good but they added "gum". The dumpling are on sale. Im a bit obsessed with them. 1 min 45 sec in the microwave and you get a version of Xiao Lung bao. Avocado spread in a tub on sale, as well as Dave's Bread. I got the stew too and raspberries were $1 off.

First off - I love Costco, which normally would be a 5/5 for me but this Costco in particular, two things that bring it down to a 3/5. 1. Parking is insane here! I always feel so stressed with the amount of chaos going on in this parking lot. All the cars, the people, carts. I feel lucky I make it out unscathed. 2. The Costco chocolate chip cookie in the food court is literally my favorite cookie in the world, but for whatever reason, this location makes it absurdly large and chonky. It's like double the size it normally is. Normally I have no issue with more, because value but because of how thick it is - it actually takes away from the otherwise perfectly crunchy exterior and melty goofey soft interior. Flavor is there, but we gotta do something about the size of this thing. It's like 1 inch thick! I still reliably come here for many things though, but these 2 points are specific are probably my biggest nits about this location.

Cheapest hot dogs and pizzas in town! Need to be a member to get these perks, unfortunately.

Costco is cost cutting consumerism on hyper drive - what's not to love? Well, this Costco had a fight the day I went and one guy brandished a knife, so there are ups and downs... Luckily, there are really big guys here that can snuff out the fires. (The free food tastings are definitely ups.) And, the junkfood meals here can't be cheaper anywhere else. $1.50 for a big hot dog? C'mon!

Is there a chance san francisco costco will be bringing back the books for the holidays season?

Does this location sell fresh flowers?

Yes also plants as well. Plants can be by the registers, in the first tier of products but I have seen them behind the freezer section. I believe fresh cut flowers are fairly close to the aisle near self checkout back from the area that has…

What is the price of the pizza?

    9.95 I think...

    I have z?zccxxzcxzxxuv

May need to retype your question.

Do you carry Choya plum wine its made in Japan?

    Yes

Does Costco take pictures for passport?

I know the Fenton Parkway does. I shop there and got mine a few years ago. I am not sure about the others but they probably do if the have a photo department.

Does this Costco sell bags of ice?

In the San Diego locations, I have not seen ice being sold

    Do they have Christmas trees?

No Christmas trees, this is an urban store and doesn’t have the space.

Can I bring along my non-service animal dog to the SF location? I read online it's store by store.

Unfortunately no. There's a sign at the entrance stating only service animals are allowed inside the warehouse. I used to bring my dog when he was a puppy (4 years ago) but he also fit inside my purse so no one really noticed. 😆

Is there bicycle parking in the garage, or is there bicycle parking somewhere that doesn't require me to carry the groceries down the stairs and leave my bike out front on the street?

There is bike parking under the Costco in the garage near the pedestrian ramp.

When will Costco stop mandating face masks? You'll be seeing a great exodus to Sams Club.

Hopefully not for a while, I enjoy shopping without Covid :)

Is the pharmacy open on Sunday?

No, the pharmacy is closed on Sunday.

Did anyone else purchase crab legs for Christmas?

Based on the lack of responses, I think you may have been the only one who did. How were they?

Do they have roast chickens ready for purchase first thing in the morning when they open?

Yes, the rotisserie chickens are available when the store opens

Does this location have parking? Is it free or paid?

They do have a parking lot and its free

Do they sell chicken bakes at this costco and do I need membership to eat at their food court?

They do have chicken bakes but YMMV with getting into the food court without membership. Depends on who's at the door. Theoretically, you're supposed to be a member to buy food at the food court.

Do they have self-check out registers? (Many of the Costco's in Massachusetts have self-check out. So was curious to know since I'll be traveling in the Bay Area soon. Thanks…

    nope

Do they sell bags of ice at this location?

No, unfortunately. I do not believe they sell ice.

Do they deliver like tv or other big things?

Yes but needs to be ordered, paid & it's NOT immediate

Does this location have gas pumps?

    Sorry no they don’t

Place looked small on the outside, but once you walk inside, it's a completely different story. The space opens up vertically and feels massive with its tall ceilings and rows of bulk items that actually make a lot of sense for restaurants and businesses. Everything from supplies to most food categories was very well stocked, in date, and had solid variety. I was happy to pick up a bunch of high-heat, heavy-duty kitchen tools during the trip. If you're stocking a commercial kitchen, they definitely have a good selection of durable equipment, but limited. With that being said, I have been to other Restaurant Depot locations and the Miami, FL one will always be my favorite because they have a lot more higher end meat and seafood selections. I was hoping for more variety here, particularly in seafood and baked goods. The bread and pastry section was pretty bare, and I really wish they carried more seafood like uni and sushi-grade products to help elevate this location. Pricing is also a bit conflicting for me as well because some items, especially beverage, pantry goods, and produce didn't feel like a great deal compared to smaller local spots. However, it does make up for that by being a true one-stop shop where you can grab almost everything your business needs in one run. My biggest downside is the location. It's pretty inconvenient, and I had personally much rather see a Restaurant Depot closer to South San Francisco or in an area that feels safer and more accessible than Bayview-Hunters Point. Overall, place has a solid selection, well stocked, and very useful if you're running a restaurant business.
