Costco is a place everyone loves, I am no different. Normally, it's not something I'd be inclined to write a review. What compelled me to do so is the type of services provided by a Costco customer service rep, in similar circumstances, most others would have just told me: "Sorry, tough luck!". Not this amazing Costco employee! Yesterday at around 5:45pm, Costco at this Lawrence Station location was about to close. I needed some lemons to make honey lemon teas. So, I quickly drove to this Costco & just did get inside in time. After picking up my bag of lemons, I also picked up a couple of bulk spices as well as a huge bag of Doritos on sale. In a haste to get a $1.49 Hot Dog & Soda combo before it closed, I left my paid cartful of stuff in side my Costco shopping cart & drove home. It wasn't until I got home that I realized I didn't have the stuff with me. I made a quick call to Costco, the employee on the other end of the phone told me that they had picked up the stuff that I can pick it up the next day. So came today and I went to this Costco. The lady at the Service Counter somehow couldn't locate the stuff that her colleague had told me. Instead of running me around, she offered me the chance to pick up the same 4 items (shown in one of my uploaded photos), since I also have the receipt ony Costco app. I REALLY didn't think I'd get my stuff back, but thanks to this exemplary customer service by this, I wish I had asked her name - she deserves some credit & a raise, she made my day! read more

So what is the use of a membership card , why the price is getting up and greedy Costco is raising the cost for everything! The employee at the door suggested to go to employee outside pay for upgrades, more money?! According to him , a new CEO decided to denies access for gold card holers before 10 am ! SO as I say in all my Costco Gas reviews: Its Costco and its gas. This particular station is no different than all of the others. 15 pumps and members only and credit card only. The pumps have long hoses so simply pick the shortest line and it will reach over even if you have a big SUV. The lines at this place can be long but it does move reasonably quick and the prices are typically the lowest in the area. Plus if you need to go into the adjacent Wharehouse you kill 2 birds with one stone. read more

I love Costco! I have been a huge supporter of Costco since childhood, and recently changed locations. This Sunnyvale location is sooo busy. It's almost packed inside every time I go. Also it's hard to leave the store with only the items you go in for. But the food is so good! Happy to try their new salad. I remember they used to sell salad but with tomatoes at the food court. But now they don't have tomatoes but still yummy. read more

Literally had one item to check out for the self checkout line. There was no line for the section we were at. Was told to move to the back of the line for the normal cashier checkout line. Ultimately didn't care for skin care product in question. I get it, it's Superbowl Sunday, but really? Take that energy into something other than simply directing checkout traffic. I feel really sad rating a Costco low but this one is wild lol. The gas station lines often extend into parking so you are either stuck in a space or trying to search for spots. This Costco is not square shaped, so it sort of feels like a never ending maze. I once went here when I had a broken foot and a scooter and it was really miserable trying to navigate all around people. One interesting this about this Costco is that the food court is outside. The worst experience I ever had with this store, very disorganized and literally out of everything.

This costco is crazy busy. There are so many carts. I would like to know the statistics on carts to each costco. .It's so crowded inside that you might get hit by a cart. I got to try guacamole dip with chips. Delicious. Had to do a second taste test. Thank you to these sub-contractors. Seeing them make the whole visit worth it. This costco is strange weird in shape. They have this alcove for toilet paper and drinks. They have bags of beans to make Indian dishes. Today's treasure hunt find: drumroll, please. 1. Sesame covered almonds. 2. Abalone in frozen section for $7.50 off. (Hint: right across each other). Salmon Sashimi with rolls ($15.99). I didn't buy the frozen durian for 16.99. Durian ice cream. Their restroom is the cleanest. There are no lines for hot dogs outside. Self-service had 12 stations that went super quick. read more

I would like to express my thank you to the Sunnyvale Costco for finally restocking their supply of cold-water Maine lobster tails. No other Costco location was carrying it for eight months, only warm-water spiny Florida lobster tails were available, which isn't to my likings. The recent availability of a ten-pack of Maine lobster tails at a competitive price was exciting, as was the unexpected discovery of large king crab legs, a product I haven't seen in over a year. The large king crabs could be seasonal. Thanks to this selection, we were able to purchase king crab and ten Maine lobster tails for our New Year's celebration. Eve. Thank you Sunnyvale Costco for bringing it back and making our New Year's Eve that much more exciting. :) read more

This updated review is for the food court. What a terrible design. They have their digital order pads facing the side where the sun shines in the afternoon (hottest part of the day), causing not only terrible glare, but also causing the screens to completely wash out due to the direct heat on the screens. Came to this location as I am boycotting the Santa Clara location. Well this place is insane! But, it is a Sunday and a week before Christmas so honestly, I have only myself to blame for shopping here on such a day. It was a zoo, wall to wall people, almost impossible to go through without almost bumping into someone. I did get lucky and found an open parking spot almost immediately upon arrival, but leaving the lot was so packed I accidentally ran over a curb. The scraping of my sports cars undercarriage was not a sound I enjoy hearing. Inside this place has a layout like a maze, I definitely prefer the layout of the Santa Clara location to this one, this one felt more sprawling and I wonder if I even got to see everything? I was also shocked that there was only 1 person giving samples! What the hey hey? Geez, things have gotten sooooo stingy! At least the samples were chocolate balls. So, long story short, I did find great stuff, I got my husband a nice watch for Christmas, and I got some nice food for the holidays. But I think I'll probably try a different location next time. read more

If I could I would give 0 stars. Went in scanned my membership from phone w/no issue. As a family we all have the membership both regular and business. My phone died before checkout, I had my grandmothers business card which I also am on and thought I would just use that since they already scanned mine at the entrance... out of nowhere some arrogant yt man asked ONLY me and my husband to again show our membership card. Told him phone died but showed him my family members card that I'm on the account on too. Told him I had no issue going to membership to get a day pass so he can stfu? He didn't care one bit told us we had to leave?? Treated us like we had no business there & This man claimed to be a manager. Either way felt extremely discriminated because out of ALL the people why did you ask me for my membership AGAIN when I wasn't even at a register or In line yet and QUIET AS HELL when I brought that up. Will look into getting refund for the membership and no longer being a Costco member. read more

As someone who has been to many Costco locations, I am so grateful to have this one down the street. The store is well-organized and easy to navigate, with a parking lot that makes sense (you know what I mean!). While all of that is great, the purpose of my review is their customer service. Thomas, one of the team members who we typically see working at the entrance or exit, is a perfect example. Despite the thousands of people he sees each day, he always demonstrates the type of hospitality you would expect to see as a loyal regular at your favorite hotel or restaurant. Costco trips, especially on the weekend, can sometimes be daunting and stressful, he makes it a joy. In a world where it seems less and less people are being taught that kindness goes a long way, Thomas goes above and beyond. Thank you for always making our Costco experience enjoyable!! read more

Wanted to check out the local Costco, as it seemed like they would have more Asian offerings than what I typically find in the SoCal Costcos. Parking was...okay. No one outright rude, but there were some drivers that weren't paying attention. Going through the entire Costco, there were definitely a few more Asian offerings than what I'd ever see in SoCal, so that was cool. Some folks move like how they drive, so there was maneuvering needed. Came by on a Saturday afternoon and I was able to get to a cashier line and was done with checkout in less than 5 minutes! This review is for the Optometrist. "dr." Jason Wong's exam was abrasive, rough, and insensitive. We felt harassed and I was so upset by the end of the exam tears came out because I was so angry that my mother in law had to experience his beratement at age 77. It was supposed to be a nice bonding time since I was visiting from out of town. Instead I left without a written prescription and she couldn't get her sunglasses replaced. This "doctor" is jaded and his arrogance inhibits him from being qualified to help anyone. He can't even spend 20 seconds listening to the customer. We were interrupted with assumptions and then felt pushed out the door even though the new prescription was more blurry. His statements also felt pushy and contradictory and he didn't bother to explain anything thoroughly. I read other reviews after and several others had the same unprofessional experience of him talking down to them, cutting them off, and rushing them out with a prescription that was either too strong or posed problems later because it wasn't what they needed. His tone from the get go was off putting. He was just downright mean and rude with his exam technique. Hum hawing and sighing in frustration for no reason as if we were a nuisance or did something wrong. It also felt like he was treating us badly because of her age and the language barrier. We felt bullied. He started by saying her prescription changed dramatically in the last two years and that something must have happened which worried her for no reason. He questioned the paperwork she brought in for her current prescription and pressured us to use his even before we started the exam. I was translating for my mom and I could see that she felt intimidated to answer honestly because he was dismissing her concerns instead of properly explaining anything. He didn't give enough time for her to see the letters before he flipped to the next one and rushed her to answer. In a condescending tone, he had the audacity to say she wasn't trying hard enough a few times even though the letters were so small and blurry she couldn't make them out. He made her feel really bad with his tone and approach. He didn't ask but told us what version looks better even though she said it was more blurry than her current prescription. It had to be his way. And then he questioned her cataracts surgery and made it sound like there was something wrong with the way it was done without explaining anything. Then he pushed us out the door. It validated that the exam was a waste of time and that his qualifications were questionable. We didn't feel comfortable with the prescription and I was not going to pay for being harassed. I told him that this was a very rough experience for us and that he shouldn't treat anyone this way. I felt bad she had to experience this. Seeing that I was upset he said that "we can pretend this exam never happened" which was a cowardly way to back out of the exam and pretend he didn't just treat us poorly. He showed us the numbers and said the difference was negligible from her current prescription, which contradicted the big scare he gave at the beginning. What baloney. I wish the exam never happened. I am LIVID. We felt so violated by this arrogant person. Afterward my mother shared with me that he scared her and talked to us like we were stupid, and that she thought there was something really wrong with her eyes. It makes me so angry that she had to experience that behavior especially after having gone through so much in her lifetime. She had such a horrible headache when she got home and her eyes hurt because she had strained them so badly trying to see the letters even though he was scoffing that she wasn't trying her best. Don't waste your time or energy. Costco should do better. This is a huge disservice to customers who simply need a competent optometrist who is kind and doesn't berate customers because of his own personal issues. read more

The soda machine at the food court has flat soda (no carbonation). I tried diet Coke and it was flat so I dumped it out and tried Coke Zero. Coke Zero was also flat. I asked my husband if his regular Coke tasted flat and he says there was no carbonation as well. This was the second time in in a two week period I have tried the soda machine and it was flat. This is the second "home Costco" i've had since moving from Almaden Valley and it seems so much busier and chaotic than the latter. The drivers r pretty ruthless with speed at this location and just as pushy with their carts. I've been hit with a cart multiple times here already. With the customer demography being a bit chaotic and wild i feel like this Costco isn't as organized as well. I still find the things i need and appreciate the good deals i find on home goods. I also like that there is a gas station at this one. Overall, it is a Costco close to home and i will go here. read more

Lady in charge of detox juice samples around 5-5:30pm monday feb 24, 2025 was only giving samples to white people. I noticed that she was very accomodating and nice to a couple so I decided to line up behind them so I could also try a sample. She had huge smile on her face and gave the couple two samples, one for each. When it was my turn she just stood there and looked at me. I even said hi to her and smiled but I wasn't handed any sample. I walked away out of confusion. I thought it was odd but didn't think much of it. However, when another customer approached her, she willingly gave her a sample! Did I mention that these people she handed out samples to happened to be white? Now I didn't want to jump into conclusions so I told my mom about this who happened to be with me at the time. We observed the situation a little bit more. When an asian lady came up to her, she merely stood there and did nothing! At this point my mom and I were weirded out. We decided to go up to her to see if we were just overthinking things. My mom and I are asian btw. When we approached her she did the same thing, she just stood there. So we waited patiently to see if she was gonna hand us samples. Eventually she handed us a sample. ONE sample. We couldn't believe it! She even seemed hesitant to hand it to us. This isn't just about the samples. It just felt uncomfortable that she was willing to converse and give samples to white people but when it came to my mom and I, and the lady who happened to be asian, she barely said a word and almost didn't want to give us samples. We have to show our card to get into the Costco, which is normal and expected. But now we have to show it before entering the self check out line which is fine but the aggressive grabbing of the cart is excessive. I felt as if I was doing something wrong, you don't need to pull the cart away from me while I show my card. Then I got to the check out stand and this lady walked up WHILE I'm scanning and clicks the screen and asks if I want to make a donation. Again, aggressive and why are you walking up and clicking the screen while I'm in motion? My visit was fine until I was approached by these aggressive employees. Back up a little bit, if it's a job you have to do the approach has got to change. Had to come back to add this. I went to the food court, didn't realize you have to go to the kiosk first (no big deal) but when I went to go pick up my food the lady snatched my receipt from me, slammed my cup down and didn't speak a word. This Costco sucks when it comes to the food court orders. I called to place an order ahead of time. They told me fifteen minutes. I showed up fifteen minutes later, paid for the pizza at the kiosk and got in line. Then another fifteen minutes later I show up to the pick up counter and tell me I need to wait another 15 min. I explained that it had already been thirty min since the order was placed. They told me to wait of course. I got back in line and waited another 20 min just to know my order still was not ready. I waited over an hour in total. This happens every time. Don't come to this Costco they are so unorganized and cannot keep up with orders. read more

If you enjoy chaos, terrible drivers, and oblivious people, come here. Hands down the worst Costco in the area. It's always packed beyond capacity, checkout lines to the back of the store, and the parking lot is so bad upper better off parking at the condos across the street and walking. The food is always packed through and you're more likely to find rotted produce and meat than any other location. Even if you live close to this one, give yourself a nicer experience and drive over to another location. You'll be glad you did. read more

This is the worst Costco I've been to. I love Costco and I don't even know how many different Costcos I've been to, probably upwards of 20+. I just like checking out different Costcos to see what product one warehouse carries that another doesn't. The layout of this Costco is terrible. What makes Costco straightforward is the warehouse design. It's a basic square but this Costco is like a Tetris piece and this probably explains why it feels so overcrowded. The section with pantry foods and househould cleaning supplies are kept in that Tetris corner and this creates a bottleneck of customor traffic with people trying to get in and out. The freezer section is separated into two areas. If you're unfamiliar with this Costco's layout, expect to just stroll around trying to locate your bearings. And when it comes to the checkout lines, the main passage leads up to the self checkout lanes. This makes everyone think that the checkout line is long but really the non-self checkout sections have no traffic but you won't know that because you're lining up at the self checkout line without even realizing. This is just a cluster of confusion for a Costco. I only came to this one because I needed gas and I was in the area running errands. I won't be coming back to this one. read more
