I came close to the evening time and they were not busy at all. I was the only customer there that day. Abbey was the person helping me and let me shop in peace. I mostly checked out the Oakley frames area and found the rafter. Abbey was able to built up a quote for me and I was surprise with the overall price even with the holiday deals. Adding things like blue light protection, anti scratch, the other features just keep making the cost go up. The eye exam cost here is pretty high also so just be aware. The customer service was great here but the value is on the higher end.

I ran over to Murata Eyecare and explained my situation. I did not have an appointment yet Dr Murata and his staff managed to squeeze me in. He drained the stye and prescribed some antibiotic drops. He checked to make sure my eye was not infected and gave me a follow up appointment in one week. My eye felt 100% better after leaving there. I simply love Dr Murata. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and really cares about his patients.

Despite me insisting when I made the appointment that they check that my insurance was actually accepted (and me insisting to check the Insurance name and ID number), they said it wasn't necessary as they already found me in their computer system. However, after the eye exam and when it was time to try on glasses they had me under the wrong insurance (and an insurance I am no longer on). Thus, essentially nothing was covered and I was left without new glasses. Despite my protestations, they chalked this up as "mistakes happen." However, I am a client and a patient whose time and money is just as valuable as theirs. I had to use my precious and valuable sick time to make and keep this appointment and yet I received nothing from it. I have to now take more time off and find a new optometrist and get new lenses/frames elsewhere. This could all have been avoided if they simply listened while making the appointment and checked the insurance information I had wanted to give them. While I appreciate that they gave me my updated prescription, this does not negate the careless regard to checking insurance nor does it negate the disregard afforded to me as a patient. I would highly recommend that if you do make an appointment with this place that you insist that they confirm they have your correct insurance information. I am very frustrated and disappointed by this business.

I had another eye doctor who was not treating my issue correctly. My eyes were constantly red, irritated and then my eyesight was blurred. So blurred that it has affected my every day life. I couldn't drive. I couldn't get any work done on my computer. It was awful. And then, the heavens opened up and I was introduced to Dr. Carrie Kubota and her incredible staff. From the moment I contacted their office, I could tell they really cared. They were able to squeeze me in as a first time patient. And when I left Dr. Carrie Kubota's office for the first time, I cried. She immediately saw the issue..... turns out I have three major issues. The doctor decided to tackle the first part, which is the severity of the blurry eyes and the irritation. As I write this review, I'm still in the process of correcting the irritation and the blurriness. Turns out the blurriness is caused from extreme dry eyes. She has a great solution for my dry eyes. And I should be able to start those treatments soon. The last issue, I simply need glasses. I have already recommended Dr. Carrie Kubota to many friends and colleagues. Bought a frame here, supposedly portion of it will be covered by insurance but I end up paying $200 more for the frame which would cost me $150 while this place was giving $350.
