We pretty much shop here for everything and this time we wanted to get eye glasses. My wife was really unsure about the styles offered but we came across a pair of Jimmy Choo's in a turtle style that she liked. The design was nice and in the color that she make work. Upon pick up of the glasses the frames were completely different than what we chose. The design now included a bright white in the corner of the frames on both sides. My wife was really disappointed because it isn't cheap and it was already difficult finding a frame she liked. We were told turtle frames are never the same and they were sorry. The problem is we weren't told that prior to purchase. If that had been advised we would not have purchased the frames. We did get offered the display that was damaged at full price...it's really upsetting and disappointing that this information wasn't provided prior to our purchase because now we have more than $200 invested in glasses that she hates... read more

Love Costco so much! They organize everything so well. The employees are so helpful and friendly; they always go the extra mile to assist you with anything you need. The samples are always a plus but they wheel you in with their spiel, making you want to buy everything they are selling! Couldn't help myself with their protein bread. Their Açaí bowls are insanely cheap, only $5!!! Five dollars will get you the freshest bowl of berries, granola and açaí! Their granola is incredible, there's dried banana chips in it... holy wow, I never knew I needed dried banana pieces in my açaí bowl until now. Seriously the best açaí bowls ever. Besides that, the best place to buy anything you need in bulk for cheap! Came here to buy detergent, water bottles, chicken and towels. Didn't spend very much money either! Costco rocks! *weird issue that I don't think happens to anyone else or has occurred before but a lady was cleaning the restroom stalls during a rush of people coming in and out. When I went in she was a stall over and she was spraying my leg with the cleaning solution! She knew I was in there but still sprayed a bunch.. it wasn't a big issue but my leg did get a bit irritated. read more

They are always crowded to a point of stagnation, The other big box store is much easier to use you scan everything with you phone check out on your phone and leave recently I wen to this costco and the customer at the register said he waited for just under a hour to check out. I left went to the other store in and out 15 min and had a hotdog. A lot less name brands a this store almost everything is kirkland other store has more name brands. The workers at all costco are very good and try their hardest to help you. This problem is all upper management. read more

A great place for great deals; assuming that you shop here on a monthly basis. A basic membership costs $60 a year and that gets you discounts on gas, grocery, and even access to an optometrist/glasses shop and a nicely priced food court. Gas prices tend to be 10-20 cents cheaper than every other place. Important to note that not all Costcos have the same inventory; I can tell you that there were definitely items here that were not being sold at the other Costcos in the area. The only bad part is that I usually get boxes and they didn't have any nor did they bother to look at other counters to get boxes. read more

Probably the best visit to Costco I've had in a very long time. While the parking lot was pretty full it was pretty easy to find a space, we were able to find all that we were looking for quickly and by some miracle nearly all registers were open. We were out of the line with our items in under five minutes. We then of course had to stop at the food court. One of my favorite things to do at Costco. We had already eaten dinner so we had some frozen yogurt. You can't beat it for 1.99 and topped with fruit..so so good on a hot day. read more

But once the line started moving we got right inside got what we needed and then to the register to pay and got right back out. However, everything we had gone in there technically four was already sold out except for water. No TP, no sanitizing Products of any type. 3.5 Stars - Paid a visit to this Costco to stock on necessities while staying in Phoenix for 9 days. We went in at an odd time of day 2pm, so it was not busy at all. We mainly went in for fruit, veggies, bread, snacks, juice and various protein items. They had everything that we typically buy but they have a much smaller selection of organic fruits we typically purchase in CA. For example, no organic strawberries, raspberries, cucumbers or bananas. And no packaged organic broccoli crowns that are staples in our house. We were able to get a few items but ended up having to go to Sprouts to supplement most of those items. Not sure if this is typical of this Costco but was disappointed to discover that. We got all our typical items / brands for which we were tankful for because otherwise our trip here would've been a bust. Grateful we were able to stock our fridge with some staples while away from home. read more

Costo FOR THE WIN! I had to come and try to find some prescription meds for my sweet fur baby and that is not cheap. Their pharmacy however, I'd never gotten a chance to try for pet meds. They not only honored good RX prices but they made the suggestion themselves. No other pharmacy I'd been to had actually asked me to see if they could help me save some more money. I was thrilled to say the least. Two prescriptions that would have cost me $85 total ended up being $31! In addition, they've added the delicious açaí fruit bowl to their food court and I had one today and it was delicious! I'll try to snap the photo next time. read more

Normally I get great service here but tonight I was checking out 6 minutes after closing time. At checkout the lady was nice but the guy helping box was not. He says "What's with this ONSLAUGHT of last minute customers?! (Eye roll)". It was a very young black kid. This is in front of me (a customer) and very rude. So I apologized to the cashier and she was very kind saying "Oh don't worry about it." Anyway we are only talking about 6 minutes -- it was very rude to mention it to me and act so impolite! (Also, the only reason it was after 8:30 is because they ran out of water cases, and I had to wait while they used a lift to move more down from a top shelf.) read more

One of the people who helps pack your groceries is not nice. Tried to get a box from her and she literally took it away from us even though we clearly needed it. My parents hit some concrete outside wickenburg and popped a tire. Everything there was closed so they were towed to this Costco to get their tire replaced. The employees were not enforcing mask use on the people in the lobby area and there were at least 7 other people in there. My parents are in their 70s and very high risk, they've been quarantining since March. It's unacceptable that a company as large as Costco is allowing people to break the law. I gave them 2 stars because my parents said the manager was extremely nice and helpful. read more

Really upset with Costco . I was there today returning a Christmas tree since the tree lights did not work despite trouble shooting unsuccessfully. There was a man there returning the remaining pumpkin pie and unused mashed potatoes flakes since 'he no longer needed them'. He was refunded completely with no questions asked. I had my turn and the staff member was rude and tried to deny my refund and told me 'at some point the tree becomes yours and is no longer the responsibility of Costco .' I've seen Costco take back dead living trees and plants and trashed patio furniture and never see them hassle them !! Poor customer service Costco ! I love Costco. It's definitely one of my favorites stores if you need to buy in bulk. The customer service there is always nice. Everything you need they have it all. Also the food court is amazing and super cheap. I got a smoothie, a churro, açaí bowl for a total of only $9.90! I wish they built one closer to Surprise but definitely love coming here. This is a tough review to write. This particular Costco has so much to love, and then so many annoyances too. Let's start with the good... The gas pumps are easy to get in and out of, and prices are great. Car wash does an excellent job, and again, in and out quick, never a line. AWESOME selection of whisky, both Scotch and Bourbon, at crazy-low prices. One of my favorites, Talisker Storm, is HALF the price of what Bevmo charges. Their fresh foods like the bakery items and house-prepped items are always really fresh and tasty. Overall the store seems to be better arranged and maintained that many other locations. But now the stuff that isn't so great... They have a LOT of those food demo people, all over the place, creating crowds and slowing everything down. I often end up frustrated and avoiding aisles because there's a huge crowd of people who have no idea that others want to shop here rather than stand around tasting samples. And being near Sun City, the average shopper age is...a bit high...and there are many people who simply don't have any awareness of driving a shopping cart or a car. So I've been hit by carts more than once, and almost hit my car trying to park. There are lots of people meandering the aisles with seemingly little purpose sometimes. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can count on any issues being taken care of completely. read more

One of the largest costco I've stepped my foot on. This place is always busy no matter what day you come in. But one advice I do recommend is Tuesday and Wednesday around evening time is when it's the best time to do groceries and not bump into someone every step (not joking!) This costco has a car wash! And not many can say they have seen another costco with one. One thing about getting a car wash here is that if you're not fully satisfied their is such thing as a free re wash... you'll thank me later!! Customer satisfaction I tell you. This store is my preferred location for my home. I've been to several different Costco locations and this one seems to be busier than others. It makes sense as this location is central to 4 neighboring towns (Glendale, Peoria, Sun City, Surprise)... forgive me if I'm missing one. There is a wide range of shoppers but leaning more towards seniors. I've never had issues with customer service and the vendors handing out samples are always pleasant. My recent visit included using their tire center for the first time. I had to replace all 4 of my tires due to age and wear and I figured going through Costco would be as good as any other choice. Their prices for tires were similar to what I found with other vendors. Costco has a high standard for quality products so I felt like I made a good choice. The tire associate quoted me an hour for the service and I made my way inside the warehouse to do some much needed shopping. By the time I was done shopping, my car was nearly done. It was definitely less than an hour so I appreciate the relatively speedy service. Some tips to make shopping at this location easier: Park in the outer areas of the parking lot. Yes, you will have a much longer walk but it is so worth it when you can load your car with your purchases without busy traffic around you and can leave quickly. Shop during the week for less traffic. It will still be a little busy but nothing like the weekend. Customer service seems to be better during the week too as there is less traffic. read more

So torn! This is my favorite/least favorite Costco. Starting in the fall, it's awful. Snowbirds are here and they think nothing of stopping their carts mid aisle cOmpletely blocking all traffic to wait for a 1/4 uncrustables sample. The other day (granted it's a week prior to Christmas) I learned all about the additional parking on the back of the building. Lines were stretching into the clothing section. However the workers are amazing, the store is always well stocked, the selection is always great and compared to the the next 2 closest Costco's this one is the best. I do tend to travel to the 27thAve/I-17 Costco this time of year to avoid the crowds. However once it gets hot out and the heat sensitive Canadians leave town, this is the BEST store in the valley. read more

I've been going here for a few years. This place is always busy. Hopefully the Surprise location helps. We were shopping last night and had an amazing customer service experiences we purchased a package of bacon and when checking out the staff member at the registered checked the bacon and saw that it was discolored. She pulled it out. Told us and sent someone to get a new one. Reality is that this will happen once in a while but to have a staff member at the store point it out and fix it for you is remarkable. Costco's are all the same for the most part. The arrowhead Costco is usually where we go but when I go it's literally right when they open because this location is BUSY! I will sometimes go to the one off the 101 and 17 because I tend to find that location a bit less hectic. I love that this location has a car wash as i usually run the car through the wash after filling up the tank. The other location does not have a car wash. I love Costco and the Kirkland brand of products. I have never not liked something I have bought but I know that you can pretty much return anything. The food court has good food that is cheap you cannot beat the $1.50 hot dog and drink. I miss the fact that Costco does not accept AMEX but visa will do. I would rather come to Costco than Sams club as I just find that the overall store and products are better. I will continue to be a Costco member for as long as they are around! I love my bulk shipping especially with kids and a husband that like to eat! We've had our Christmas cards made in the club for the past ten years. We've always had great service and a great product. Since the Photo Center has been closed in the club, we ordered our cards online. We were so disappointed in the quality. The envelopes were so thin and more than half didn't even have glue on them. When I called to complain, nothing was done. I'm fact, they told me they don't allow reviews on their site. We won't order from Costco Photo again and we don't recommend them at all. read more

I am a Costco connoisseur and this Costco in Glendale their bakery is by far one of the worst bakeries I have ever encountered. I have bought croissants from multiple locations multiple times for example I used to live in North Phoenix so I would always shop at the Costco off of the 101 now I shop at the Glendale location. The Costco off of the 101, Their croissants literally would last me a month they would not mold. Now that I go to this Costco in Glendale and my croissants mold within a week. I also called a couple weeks before I needed it and was put on hold while a gentleman confirmed again that yes they do. I drove all the way there in traffic yesterday to order. And was told by Reid that they do not do that. I asked to talk to a manager, and Mary came back there she's like no we don't do that we make vats not cakes. It's fine if they don't do it. I have to say that my review has a few stipulations. Do not come on the 1st or 15th. Senior day and you can't move. The eye department at this location is amazing. All of my family has got glasses and contacts. Everyone behind the counter is so helpful and will make sure that you get everything you want in glasses. They even call you 24. Hours before they are ready (or text). The butcher is great - ask for what you want. 4 stars because this store can be slow at times. Need more staff at peak hours. read more
