Cotjias's has been providing lunches free of charge for the Colton Firefighters every year and have done so without asking for anything in return. The firefighters go out every year to raise donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Owner, Hector, along with his daughter, Ruby, are very generous and just down to earth people. I've gone to this taco shop a few times, and they always deliver on quality and taste. They have a grande breakfast burrito that is as big as my forearm and delicious. This last time I decided to give the Diablo Shrimp Burrito, and I am going to need to put that Diablo sauce on everything I get from there from now on. I was getting back from school super late the other night and hadn't had dinner yet, so I was starving. I had an intense craving for Mexican food but wanted something fast. My normal go-to fast Mexican place would've been Miguel's Jr., but they closed at 10:30pm and I had just missed it. SO I went with plan B. Cotija's Taco Shop was less than 2 miles away, had a drive-thru, and is open until 12am. So I opted for them. They weren't terribly busy, but the food took quite awhile. I was waiting in my car for about 10 minutes before the food was ready. However, the staff were very nice and apologized for the wait. The prices weren't bad either. I ordered "Rolled need tacos" with guacamole and cheese and a "Carne Assad Quesadilla." I thought the rolled tacos were decent--nice flavor, crispy, not too oily. Their guacamole was decent. I enjoyed my quesadilla, but didn't know that it was filled with onions, so I wish I had known about that. Besides that, it was decent. All in all, it's a decent place, prices aren't bad, service can be slow, but staff are friendly, and food is decent. Absolutely Disgusted and sick to the point, that I was vomiting. Today I visited Cotija's drive thru to enjoy a simple bean and cheese burrito, eating my burrito on the way home and just as I reached a red light, I stopped to add some red sauce on the burrito, just before adding I looked down at my burrito and seen something dark in color and round, as I took a closer look, I was shocked to disgust to notice legs on this fly inside stuck in the cheese of my nasty A bean and cheese burrito. I immediately returned back to the restaurant to address the issue with the "Manager" as she addressed the issue to the cook, it was shocking to hear the response of the cook. He told the manger that he can just simply make me another burrito. That response was very upsetting to me, I asked for a refund and made myself clear that Cotija's has lost any future business from me, real shame. I have to say, the food it's that bad, and if you go before 5pm the service is good, but it you go in the evening when the bosses rude, spoiled, unprofessional daughter is working...OMG!!! We have brought it up to other employees, and they say that she is rude all the time and receives alot of complaints. BRC BURRITO WITH GUACAMOLE - I opted for guac while my friend adds sour cream. I love guacamole in my burritos and this burrito was no different. For about the same price as Cuca's in Redlands, I get a larger burrito which tastes equally as good! FISH SOFT TACO - gross. never will i ever again. The fish was tough and I couldn't even bite into my last 2 tacos because the fish and battered crust was so hard. Pico de gallo was fresh and so were the other toppings on my taco - cabbage and sauce, but the fish itself just isn't cutting it. Fish soft tacos were $1 today (Monday)! However, I didn't see any signs about it so make sure you ask about any specials that are going on. TL;DR BRC burrito with guac or sour cream is good, but I wouldn't get the fish soft tacos ever! OMG! The worst food I've ever had! I ordered the shredded chicken taquito, taco and tostada combo with an orchata. The whole meal tasted watery, no seasoning, absolutely no flavor, fake guacamole, and watery squished beans. Within 3 minutes after eating the taco, I had diarrhea all night. I think that's considered food poisoning because I threw up immediately after the diarrhea. This is so embarrassing to write, but I want to save lives. I used to like this place but it was different every time for the las month or so quality of food always decreasing to make the story short today my wife and I stopped by to order dinner at the drive through and I ordered the steak fajita burrito and my wife ordered the chile relleno enchilada combó both of our combos were salty like 50% more salt than usual I ordered a Pepsi and they were out, ordered Sierra Mist and it was just water with a slight flavor of soda we felt like we were going to get sick eating such a salty food except the beans and rice that's all we consumed out of almost 30$ of food so I'm very disappointed to no be able to visit again read more
