In town for work on 2nd shift, and they were the only place I could get a salad after 11pm. The salad itself is huge (even for a large) and tasty. Staff was cheerful as well which is always nice. Dressing came on the side without asking, which is just smart. read more

I would say this is probably my go-to pizza place in the area. Online ordering is pretty easy, they are timely in getting your order made, and very accommodating to requests. And unlike some of the big-brand places, they haven't started nickle-and-diming for things like Parmesan packets (Dominos wants almost $3 for a shaker now). Just ordered for carry out for a family deal today. My son loves cottage in so much we ordered it on 09/10/2020 and today. I ordered over the internet and made a note on today's order I did not receive a salad I paid for two days ago. Mind you I live 2 buildings in down town Charlotte away from this Cottage Inn and have picked up my order from the location from the back of the store several times and just two days prior to this order today. 15 minutes later I received a call from a guy named Marc. He just confirmed my phone number and my name, I made a mistake on my phone number. And then be began to say. We are delivery only, no pick ups/carry outs. And that the salad that was missed from two days ago he could do nothing about. He asked did you call and report it. I said no sorry I forgot. He began to say your order will be ready in around 20 minutes. And that a Delivery driver will be dropping off your order. I said we could meet him down stairs out back of where we live due to I don't want anyone getting our door key code. He said ok. I then asked why can't I just walk down and pick it up? We only deliver and that it. My husband called back and asked the same questions I did and then guy said that he talked to canceled our order and hung up on him. My husband called back and said we are going to make a complaint to the cooperate head quarters, asked who the owner was, said he was we still wanted what we paid for and the guy on the phone said he already canceled the order, he already called the owner and the money will go back on our credit card it a couple days and hung up on my husband again. $38.38 order on Friday 5/21/2021: large thin crust (burnt) 1/2 Spinach Supreme (2 small pieces of spinach & NO FETA CHEESE) the other 1/2 BLT (sliced tomato not diced, large pieces of lettuce not shredded, very little bacon). Large Price Buster (85% of toppings were inside a 6" circle in the middle), Apple Pie-zza (the opposite of the thin crust above, crust was underdone, doughy). You can blame this on the Covid-19 Pandemic but I can accept that excuse. That comes down to poor management oversite and poor training of employees. Pizza was great! We had the everything crust and several toppings. They did not skimp on the cheese or toppings. We also got a Ceasar salad and it was ok....i would prefer to have the salad tossed but they provided a generous amount of dressing (more than we needed). The only reason the Cottage Inn on 5405 W Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917 is receiving a three star is because the manager was polite in taking my call and said he would handle the portion control issue we had with our pizza. We had a bout 4 slices on a large that didn't have green peppers. The ones that were on there were large pieces. The dough was still spongy. The delivery driver came to the door with no pizza bag in sight, so not sure it was kept warm during travels. The pizza was kind of luke warn. These may be preference but the Holt, Michigan store provides a better product. We just want consistency between locations so we know we are getting the same service and product from no matter what location. read more

We have ordered from the West Saginaw Cottage Inn for many years with great results. They had always beat their delivery time. The drivers were always friendly and polite. Tonight was a very different story. I placed my order about 6:15 with an estimated delivery date of 7:25. No problem. Around 8:00 our order had not arrived . Very unusual. I called the store and explained that I ordered online. I offered the confirmation number and was told "we don't use confirmation numbers". Huh? I was asked for my phone number which I gave. The response was "Is that your zip-code" I stated "no" and re-stated my phone number three time! A which point the employee said" Sir, if you are going to use that tone of voice I am hanging up." Admittedly I was hot but not angry. I did not swear. He hung up. I called back again. The employee refused to look into the delay of my order. Refused any help whatsoever. He threatened to hang up again. I was furious at this time. I yelled into the phone "don't you dare hang up on me." He again refused to offer any assistance. I told him to cancel the order. 20 minutes later the pizzas arrived. I refused it, and told the delivery driver the story. I felt somewhat bad for the driver because I put a $10 tip on my card. My card had better be credited for this canceled purchase. I plan to complain to corporate about the lack of customer service at the West Saginaw store. I will never patronize West Saginaw Cottage Inn again. Such a shame! read more

Extremely unprofessional. Called and were told 10-15 min wait. Showed up 15 min later. Called and were told 10-15 MORE minutes. Wait 15 more minutes and call AGAIN. They tell us it will be out soon. News flash...if you want to keep a customer coming to your pizza restaurant you treat them with respect and give them what they want! The last pizza I ordered the bottom was soggy but good eat. Today ordered boneless wing and when I got them they were breaded and smaller than nuggets and cost me over $10.00. When I called the man I spoke with didn't seem to care. I will rethink getting pizza and my meals there again. read more

Usually if I am going to order pizza for delivery I order from here, they have fast delivery for where I live. Though if like me you like your pizza crispy I would recommend requesting it be cooked a little longer, every time I ask they follow through. read more
