We took our son for his 18th birthday. I knew this place was going to be expensive and expected it to be great! Its quite small on the inside and our reservation was lost in the system. The ladies in the front helped us and seated us fairly quickly. The noise level in this place is crazy it is quite loud to be honest. The service is pretty much what you expect from a place like this waiters are attentive and explain things thoroughly. It is kind of intimidating when you walk in and definitely a special occasion kinda place. Food was good not spectacular but good! Steaks were cooked perfect. The sides were good especially the Brussels sprouts. Mashed potatoes and creamed corn were good also. The chopped salad was not good at all lacked flavor. I came here with my family of 10 women after leaving Vineyard Fest at Chateau Elan. We had an array of different items and everyone enjoyed their food. I had the sea bass which was great but overpriced for the small portion that was served. Food was fabulous , please try the bacon appetizer. It was absolutely fantastic. I have had it at several other places and this was definitely the most tasty. I did order the five green tomatoes. It was not my thing, but it was presented beautifully. I had the scallops wrapped in bacon with mushroom risotto phenomenal my husband had the 16 ounce ribeye he loved it the grilled pineapple margarita was delicious our waiter. Avalon was very knowledgeable, kind funny, and her service was great. We really really enjoyed it. The ambience in the restaurant is soothing. It's dark, but not too dark. Visited CCK this week for a late valentine dinner with another couple. We have eaten there before and knew that it was expensive, but prices have gone thru the roof. We got a ribeye with one side, and the waygu burger plus ONE sprite and it cost $112 - before tip. I don't mind paying for a good steak - and it was good, but I will not be going back at these prices. The website was not current, as we planned on eating off the bar menu which is somewhat cheaper, but were informed that the bar menu was not available. I am no slouch in the kitchen, and can produce an excellent steak for 10-20 dollars that we will get 2-4 meals out of, so a $58 dollar steak better knock my socks off - while very good, it was not worth $58 especially when NO sides are included. I cannot imagine what it will be like if $15 min wage comes to pass.... I guess the elites can afford this, but not this guy, I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Top notch dining experience! We were hosting a visit from my mother in law and took her for a wonderful dinner! We started with the charcuterie board which had 3 different cheeses and one include some local honey which was outstanding. I ordered filet migon which was excellent ... cooked exactly as ordered and melted in my mouth. My mother in law got the crab cakes which she said were excellent as well. My husband ordered the Cajun steak which had a char and at first glance he wasn't sure but he said it was excellent as well ... the char was done right and folded in the flavor. The sides were equally as good. Mushroom risotto, lyonasse potatoes and our favorite were the Brussels sprouts. We had enough left overs for lunch the next day. Service was exceptional ... they hire and train the right people to provide 5 star restaurant service. Also should mention my mother in law ordered the black berry jalapeño margarita and it was outstanding ... I'm not a margarita person and I was convinced to try a sip and I must agree it was very tasty! read more

Such a wonderful place. Took my Mom to Chateau Elan for her birthday and needed to find a really nice place to eat. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating . Richard our waiter was absolutely amazing. I told him it was her 70th and he really rolled out the carpet. The chef came over half way through the meal and personally wished my mom a happy Birthday offered to take pics to capture the evening, and offered a dessert on the house. Since I brought our own cupcakes we didnt eat any of the desserts. The food was food and fresh. I had a crabcake for apps and the salmon for dinner. My mom got the same thing we split the spinach and cream corn dish. That cream corn was one of the best I have every had as it had some spice to it which was really really good. Not really sure when I will be back in Braselton but when I do I'll be sure to stop in here to eat! read more

I had an absolutely amazing time dining at Cotton Calf Kitchen this past weekend, and wanted to wait a few days so that I could give this restaurant the type of review it deserves. This was my first time dining there, and it was a truly special experience because of the VIP treatment I received but never expected. My dad's birthday was coming up, and he decided he wanted to try Cotton Calf, having heard wonderful things about their steaks. Our family was excited to celebrate with him, but there's a small hitch. I'm a vegetarian! At most places, this wouldn't be an issue - I can't remember the last restaurant I visited that didn't have at least one or two options. However, after a quick glance at CCK's menu, I realized they didn't have any appetizers or entrees that worked for a non-meat eater (there's a cauliflower parmesan soup that sounds AMAZING, but alas, it's made with chicken stock!) I'm not someone who likes to interrogate servers with a ton of questions about ingredients or otherwise call attention to myself when ordering, so I decided I would shoot the restaurant a message via Yelp to see what they'd recommend. I expected a friendly suggestion about holding the shrimp on a particular salad or something like that. What I got was SO MUCH more. Vincent Price, the general manager, emailed me and asked me to get in touch with him on his personal line so we could discuss my likes and dislikes. Goodness gracious, that was *awesome* of him. He had another manager - I believe her name was Nicole - give me a call to discuss my favorite foods and the types of veggies the restaurant was working with this season. I felt truly valued and special, and I hadn't even set foot in the restaurant yet! We arrived for our meal, and I was charmed by the location. CCK is located in downtown Braselton, and I had no trouble finding parking close by. Our party was quickly greeted by Vincent and Nicole (I am SOOO sorry if I've misremembered your name, you're awesome!) who thanked us for coming in and said they had prepared something special for me. It was kind of funny because I ended up getting more attention, which I'd messaged trying to avoid, but they were so super nice about it that it left everyone else at the table kind of jealous as they wondered what treat I had coming! It turns out that the heirloom tomato salad I split with my mom would have been a PERFECTLY fine meal on its own. Fresh tomatoes, lots of gorgonzola, and crumbled walnuts made for an exceptional flavor that I'll definitely be trying to recreate at home. I have a feeling I'll have to go back to CCK to truly get it, though! My entree, the one the restaurant had been so good about whipping up, was a pasta dish that was at once simple and inventive. The ziti was cooked perfectly, and really absorbed the tomato-based cream sauce that perfectly complimented the roasted asparagus, onion, and root veggies they used to top the dish. I was completely happy with it, and would recommend to CCK that they make this dish a regular feature on their menu (hey, vegetarians comprise about 12 percent of the US population, and we're always tagging along for dinner with our steak-eating friends and family!) For dessert, we shared a creme brulee that was perfect - sweet and crisp with just enough richness to balance it out. Very nice dining experience, our waiter managed our table very well. You order your main course and the sides are for the table and are meant to be shared. My delmonico ribeye was excellent, someone with my group got the cajun style ribeye and it was even better. It's a little pricey but still worth it. I would consider it on the high end of the scale of steak houses, you need a reservation to eat there. They also gave my wife a free dessert because it was her birthday. A must try. read more

First time dining here, and we went just off word of mouth. We were not disappointed. I had the Delmonico ribeye with Lyonnaise potatoes, and my wife had the 8oz filet with a baked potato. The food was incredible, and the portions are sufficient to fill you up. The entire staff was extremely friendly, and all were helpful. It was a fantastic dining experience. That all being said, expect to rack up the credit card because this place isn't cheap. I spent $50 on my steak alone, and the total bill with tip was about $150 for the two of us (no alcoholic drinks, just water). So, if you're looking for a place to go on a special occasion, and want to indulge in what is probably the best steak I've ever had, then this is the perfect spot. My wife and I ate here with some friends for or Christmas get together. The food was good but to us it was not worth the price we payed. Great atmosphere and service was great!!!! The sides are big enough to share and about 3 sides will be enough for a table of 4. My wife and I split and salad and we all got the cajun ribeye. It's was good but like I said not worth the price. We didn't buy alcohol and our bill was $200. Glad we tried it out but that will probably be the one and only time we go there. read more

The food was excellent. The steak came Out with an outstanding char. A true medium rare+ not a lot of steakhouses outside of the city properly cook their steaks. The sides where perfect, definitely for sharing. The service was spot on, the server wasn't too chatty, knew when to come, knew when to leave us alone. Something that i want in an upper end restaurant. "Not here for the conversation, here for the food" you can tell that the owner is really doing their best to bring their A game. This place is a gorgeous plus for the Braselton community. It's bright and styled like a modern loft with exposed brick walls, a banquette wall plus a patio and bar area with tables. Service is exquisite. Every single time. This place is like a well oiled machine. Please. Save your stomach the extreme stretch and go with a group. That way you can try lots of the delicious appetizers and sides, because there is sooo much goodness on the menu. I recently went for a birthday dinner with a friend and as we are both super greedy, we decided to split a salad, an appetizer and share a ribeye and two sides. Neither of us are delicate eaters and we still had enough left overs to make up one small meal. We had the makers mark bacon...I mean. Bacon. It's basically two ridiculously thick slices with a bourbon glaze. So simple. And so delicious. To cut this piggish richness we also had a tomato salad. Heirloom tomatoes, micro basil, Gorgonzola and waaaaay too many walnuts, all tossed in a balsamic dressing. I'm not opposed to nuts by any means, but the salad seriously had like three handfuls of gorgeous walnut halves...for me it overwhelmed the freshness of summer tomatoes. I would definitely request without next time. Ribeye...perfectly medium rare. And it was perfectly salted. Love love love that. What else can you say about a gloriously prepared steak? For sides we had truffle Parmesan wedges. These are ginormous, and so tasty. They are made from the biggest potatoes I've ever seen and are so tasty. Crispy on the outside and billowing potato goodness in the inside. Don't sear the inside of your mouth on them. I thought the bacon ketchup served on the side was completely not needed...the earthy truffle plus salty Parmesan was enough for me, but it is provided. We also shared a creamed spinach. It was another generous portion, served piping hot like everything else, and had lots of cheese bubbling on the top. I was delicious but very rich. I would try the sautéed garlic spinach next time, just to do my arteries a favor. Top your meal with a glorious smooth and vanilla bean studded creme brûlée and go home happy and content. Such a yummy meal. Solid cocktails as well. Oh...you can bring your own wine and pay a corkage! Nice way to jazz things up if you have a special bottle. read more

Strange... We are visiting Braselton for the weekend. We are staying at Château Elan and decided to support local businesses. We walked in and there were (4) patrons, two whom walked in seconds before us and we were told that if we didn't have reservations (Resturant empty)...we had to sit in the bar area. We saw a friend's FB post about this place and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint! I liked the simple but tasteful decor. The dining area is spacious but it felt cozy. The ambience and noise level were just right. The steaks were good. The salmon was good. The side vegetables were tasty and roasted to perfection. One thing I do not recommend is the lobster bisque. It arrived cold and lacked flavor. The bread what came with dinner was also a little disappointing. By the look and smell of the place, I just expected it to be better than it was. Our bread felt and tasted like day-old bread. But the garlic butter that accompanied it was good! While just about everything we ordered were good, I thought the appetizers we were outstanding. The shrimp cocktail was great - 5 huge fresh, succulent shrimps served around a small bowl of pineapple cocktail sauce. Although I liked the shrimps very much, I thought the cocktail sauce was lacking in pineapple flavor. It definitely needed more pineapple. The other appetizer we ordered was the bourbon glazed bacon. Reserved a table for two at 5:00. Got there a few minutes early so sat at the bar until seated promptly at 5:00. Servers were really good and very attentive. Here is what we had and a brief description: *Pineapple margarita - fantastic. *Coke - too much syrup. *Fried green tomatoes - delicious, different from what I expected but really good. *Rolls - unimpressed. Not hot but we were told freshly baked. Tasted like Hawaiian rolls from shelf at local grocery store but the butter was really good. Ordered medium but no pink at all. It was well done but was so good I ate it anyway. *lobster tail - I added to my steak. It was really delicious. *lionnaise potatoes (sp?) - good *Brussel sprouts - good, somewhat plain. Very good though. Overall, the meal was really good. The atmosphere is nice. Wine list nice. Service was great. Final thoughts - probably will not go back. Even though I enjoyed the food, I could have had just as good or better at Longhorn for 1/4 the price. Incredible food and atmosphere for an outstanding fine dining experience! Sunday brunch is delicious with large portions. We enjoyed the Raspberry Buttermilk Pancakes which came with enormously thick bacon, Biscuits and Gravy, and the Crab Cakes Benedict. We also attended a workplace Christmas dinner which gave us the chance to sample and share multiple items from the dinner menu. For appetizers: Crab Cake, Colossal Shrimp Cocktail (they WERE colossal sized), and the Lobster Bisque. From the entree list: Porterhouse for Two (perfectly cooked and tender) and Whole Baked Lobster. I cannot say enough good things about Executive Chef Javier. This restaurant deserves to be called more than "just a place", a true restaurant deserving praise. They have been nothing short of the epitome of hospitable for not only our visit for brunch, but our reservation for dinner as well. Their portions are out of this world and well worth the price. The employees across the board, from the chefs, hostesses, managers, and wait-staff were all fantastic and more than accommodating. This is the most amazing restaurant! You will not be disappointed. If you want to be entertained for the evening make sure you ask to sit at the Chef's Table. Chef Javier is so exciting to watch...he should have his own Food Network show. He is so funny and kind you will feel like you've know him for years. He makes everyone around feel special and his staff all seem to love him and enjoy working with him as well. You can really see the organization and teamwork the staff have and the respect they have for the Chef. You don't see that much these days so it's nice to see it. The food is exceptional. My husband and I always order the Shrimp Cocktail which seriously look like they are on steroids. I've never seen shrimp so big and the pineapple cocktail sauce is to die for! The steaks are grilled to perfection with a chargrilled crust that makes the flavor burst in your mouth. If you must have a steak sauce with it even though you don't need any you should ask for the Chefs special sauce. There is not a side dish you won't love either and they are huge so you can share or have enough to take home! If you love dessert you will want to order the Key Lime Tart or Cheesecake with Strawberries. They are both amazing! All in all you will want to tell everyone you know about this new modern restaurant in the town of Braselton. It's better than any place in Atlanta hands down!!! read more
