Homely - a term used to describe someplace comfortable and cozy. In this case, it includes their food. Our portions were enough to feed three people, even if we were only two. This was a gratifying linner with extras. Come hungry and leave full. We received fast service. Luckily, they weren't too busy at the time we dined. Our drinks were brought over quickly after ordering. I think it's no more than three minutes after ordering, when you should get at least water or soft drinks. They met the timing. There's a menu with nice selections and hot flavorful food. Gotta have the fried okra!

Best Fried Green Tomatoes ever!!!! I don't have one bad thing to say. Our waitress Angelica was the sweetest most helpful server we'd had in a while. I wasn't sure what to order and I asked her opinion and she gave me recommendations without hesitation and she was spot on. Kept the drinks full and did a fantastic job. The food was soooooo good. Beef tips and steak were cooked perfectly and juicy. Chicken fried chicken and tenders were very tasty and veggies were fresh. All in all it was great! We'll definitely be back before they close. Hoping they stay in temple after the mall closes.

The food was great! Everything was hot. We even sampled to trio with chips, queso and salsa. The chips were hit and fresh.

I'll start off by saying service was great and the establishment looks good inside and out. The reason for three stars was just quality of food. When we first sat down we had rolls brought out to us and they did not taste fresh and were slightly warm but pretty close to room temperature. When they brought out the second basket of bread they were warm and fresh and delicious. My fiancé ordered the blackened tilapia and it was ok. The fish was very bland and not seasoned well. The rice that came with it was very good and flavorful. I ordered the Sunday roast which was turkey, stuffing, broccolis rice casserole, and garlic mashed potatoes. The turkey was bland and dry. Everything else was delicious. The stuffing had a good consistency and flavor. The broccoli rice casserole was amazing and my favorite part of the main meal. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. We ordered the Dr Pepper cake for desert and it is amazing. Definitely can not go wrong with ordering this desert.

Really enjoyed the brisket street tacos with chips, salsa, guacamole & queso. The tacos were just the right size to enjoy the peach cobbler warm w ice cream! Yum!

While we were dining at this location tonight, my daughter had removed her Invisiligns and had them sitting on a napkin on the table. At some point our server picked them up and threw them away. When we realized they were missing and asked about them, she seemed horrified and went to look for them. She was gone a long time and we were horrified as well to know something that goes in my daughter's mouth was being fished out of the trash. The server was very apologetic when it was not located and we recognized that since, they are clear, they may be hard to see sitting on a napkin. But we were surprised she could not feel them when she picked them up, since they are hard and clearly what she picked up was not just a napkin. At no time did a manager visit our table to apologize or talk to us. We are from out of town and will not be able to get a replacement until we get back home. My daughter is suppose to wear them 22 hours a day and only removes them to eat and will not have anything for at least 2 days. What really burns me up is we were still charged for dinner! They threw away my daughter's Invisilign and still charged us for dinner?!?!? That's horrible customer service in my book!

Big building with spacious dining areas, outdoor space, and the pickleball courts of course. There's also an upstairs area that's exclusively for members. The interior and exterior design is exceptional. Very clean and pleasing to the eye. Welcome to All - not just pickleballers! High end liquors with experienced mixologists. Great cocktail list. Wine list was pretty short but had some good bottles on it. Brunch food was good. The breakfast croissant sandwich was hard to handle and fell apart but tasty. The Southern Poutine was hearty and comforting (sausage in lieu of cheese curds) The bartender was exceptional-knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive. Would love to see a broader wine list with greater range. Was disappointed they didn't have the fireplaces on especially since it's been so cold. A nice fireplace would have really elevated the experience by adding a cozy atmosphere. Also, they have a fruit fly problem.

About server was nice and attentive even though we were the only ones outside at first. That said, overall we were nickel and dimed for everything. It really felt like they just want money. If a 14 year old wants to order off the kids menu, they charge an extra $4, but it's not an adult portion, it's the same amount of food they just want you to pay more. It makes me not want to bring kids here. Also, if you're eating and the pickle ball courts are empty, there is no discount for playing pickle ball, and they make sure to tell you that you will be charged while you eat your meal. The courts are empty and they don't have any reservations for them, but they need their money. We were told they would provide paddles and balls, so we didn't get ours from the car, and then we were charged for them. I love eating at great restaurants, but when a restaurant nickels and dimes you..it feels cheap.

I had the chicken and waffles - nicely crisp chicken breast with very tasty waffles. My husband and granddaughter-in-law had the steak and eggs - with really good potatoes and onions; both were SO impressed with the flavor and the preparation. (I will be having this next time!). My grandson had 'Hong Kong' French toast, which I believe was made with Japanese milk bread and had berries and a custard. Also came with eggs and bacon. He could not speak highly enough about it. The portions are LARGE. We all took food home. I shared my plate with my great granddaughter (2 yrs) and still took food home! Honestly, we had booked another restaurant for the weekend of Mother's Day (day before) and we canceled that reservation so that we could go back to Farmers Commons! It's that good. Since it's a small space and echoey, we could not hear ourselves over the group of people talking. Drinks: We started with the Queen Bee cocktail and a red wine. The cocktail was good but I didn't feel the mixture of flavors worked well for my taste. I can't recall the name of the wine but it was a nice wine to pair with red meat. Appetizers: we started with the fried green tomatoes and the Caesar wedge salad. The tomatoes were a little bland and came out cold (not sure if that was on purpose?). The wedge was good but was slathered in dressing which made it a little too rich. *Side note: I realized after we left that complimentary bread was mentioned on the appetizer menu, but I'm unclear if we had to ask for that...? It was never offered nor brought out. I decided against ordering the French baguette because I assumed there was complimentary bread. Entrees: I had the Ravioli Diablo and my husband tried the Sea Bass special that came with clams, mussels and lobster ravioli. The Ravioli Diablo was just OK, kind of a small portion. For the special, he liked the mussels but thought the sea bass was a little overdone. In hindsight, there was a lot going on with that plate; the ravioli was a bit out of place and it could've used a nice risotto or rice instead. Dessert: we tried ordering Creme brulee but they were out so we ordered the "brown butter" cheesecake instead...I'm including the description from the menu and a picture of the bare cheesecake loaf I received with no toppings (I took the picture after my husband took a bite). I'm actually most disappointed about this since I was hoping it would be the part of the meal to make up for the mediocrity of everything else. "Vanilla bean brown butter with candied pecans and soft whipped cream" Honestly I tried to be optimistic but it was overall not the experience I was hoping for. Especially for a $200 bill.

My wife, a true southerners, ordered the lunch chicken fried steak. I just don't know if it's the world, our timing or us. But lately we hit places with wonderful reviews and they disappoint in either service or quality. Be warned. You never know if you are getting canned hormel chille or home made. I really hope this was hormel. The hotdogs had the texture of being neither boiled or grilled. So I'm guessing it was microwaved a bit too long as it was tough and chewy. The chicken fried steak edges came out too crispy and inedible although the meaty portion was ok. I notice a lot of the chicken fried stuff came out of the kitchen a bit crispy on the ends. I had to flag someone down for a refill on my tea. They did have great unsweetened tea. Remember. This place is cash or check. Only. I might want to go back on another day and try something else. Seems like everything was rushed but nothing was coming out fast. To their credit, by the time we left, there was a line out the door and the place was packed.
