Their lunch specials are a great price! Skip the fast food lunch break and come here if you have the time. At $10-$11 for a salad with steak or chicken, plus a soup or salad, and bread?? Way better and cheaper than a burger and fries nowadays. The salad was so good. I loved the steak bites with blue cheese. My mom loved her chicken salad and saved her soup for dinner! The only issue I had was a weird smell when we sat down. It was like a musty/mildew smell. Maybe dirty wet carpet or someone used a dirty wet towel to clear the table.

The Longhorn - our biggest steak, porterhouse, combines a bone-in strip and a tender filet. with side salad and broccoli Outlaw Ribye - Bone-in, well-marbled, fire-grilled, juicy, and delicious. with Asparagus and Side Salad. 7 Pepper Sirloin Salad - Grilled Sirloin with our 7-Pepper seasoning, cheese, diced tomatoes, and croutons, Chicken Fried Steak - Hand-battered Certified Angus Beef® with country-style white pepper gravy, Served with home-style mashed potatoes and Fried Okra. Flo's Filet exceptionally tender center-cut filet grilled with mashed potatoes and a side salad, added 4 ct. Redrock Grilled Shrimp, rice, and garlic butter. For fun we had The Chocolate Stampede" Six kinds of chocolate, vanilla bean ice cream and Whipped Cream all drizzled with more Chocolate! Yummy! Had a couple of mistakes but were quickly taken care of. Look forward to our next time!

Worst restaurant in all of Temple and Belton area. Slow service, server wouldn't even come to my table/ booth, Manager walked by twice giving me a dirty look, ? Unknown reason why,? I was well dressed. Alone, nice, professional, kind. Parmesan chicken was undercooked, other tables around me were also agitated at having to wait for drink refills, and long wait time to get the ticket, and or pay out. Very bad overall experience! There are far better places !

My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time this weekend; it was a great choice! All of our food was absolutely delicious, and cooked correctly. The interior setting is cute with western style decor and low lighting sets the mood for a nice meal. Our waitress was not too friendly, she definitely gave us the impression she didn't want to be there. However she was not a terrible server; we did get our food and drinks in a timely manner. We definitely plan to go back!

Outside the restaurant was some beautiful flowers that made the restaurant inviting

Best value for lunch in Temple. We also love the Flo's filet, which is always perfectly cooked. On the seasonal menu try the lamb chops.

We started the 2025 list and we are more than half-way through the list as of June 2026. Heading to the spots in West Texas takes some logistical planning, patience, and lots of gas for the drive from the Texas Gulf Coast. On our recent BBQ quest to West Texas,we drove home via Fort Worth from Amarillo with our eyes set on hitting one of the most consistent BBQ joints in Central Texas, Miller's Smokehouse in Belton, TX. This was our fourth time to visit Miller's. Unfortunately, Miller's Smokehouse had a surprise overnight fire late February 2026. That hasn't stopped them from feeding the community great food from a mobile trailer. They had an abbreviated menu of the BBQ staples like brisket, chicken, pulled pork, pork steaks, and St. Louis Style Ribs, and assorted sandwiches and sides. Generally, I'm a Texas Trinity traditionalist. But we he had our fill of brisket, ribs, and sausage on our West Texas journey. Instead, we jumped at the Smash Burgers! First time for us and they made a favorable impression. My wife had the Single Smash. My son and I had the Double Smash. Of course we had to try the tallow Fries. Wow! Homemade buns, oversized patties, cheese, with a smattering of pickles and burger sauce. We destroyed those burgers. Compliments to the kitchen staff cooking up some great food. The tallow Fries, seasoned with just the right amount of salt were a perfect crisp while being soft in the center. Don't cheat yourself - try the Fries. We arrived around noon and there was a very short line at that time. Parking is easy with ample parallel parking and free lots close by. The staff took good care of us. It was a bit warm but they had shaded picnic table seating with plenty of fly fans at the table to keep the critters from buzzing to nibble at your food. Before we left, we inquired about nearby restrooms to wash-up before we got back on the road. We were directed across the street to Muscovy Coffee Roasters across the street. It turns out that Muscovy is Miller's upscale sister coffee house that opened days before the February fire. I could not help but notice the spacious seating area that was packed. Nor the rich roasted coffee wafting through the air. They also serve an interesting menu of breakfast items and homemade Kolaches. Got to go back for coffee and Kolaches next time. By the way, the restrooms were Buc-ee's clean+. This is the fourth time we visited Miller's Smokehouse. Hat's off to the pitmasters and staff at Miller's Smokehouse for their perseverance. We'll be back after they open the revitalized restaurant. Hoping to meet Dusty the next time.

I really liked the sandwich, and I am glad I asked for extra barbecue sauce on the side because there was barely any in the sandwich. The beef was really good. The potato salad was not that great, and I really had to encourage myself to finish it. It was just very bland and unappetizing. The time was inaccurate because it said it would be ready 30 minutes after I ordered, but after waiting a bit I went in early, and it turns out it was already ready. They just needed to bag it. They recently placed as the #1 BBQ spot in Texas for 2026, so of course I had to swing by. We came around 1 or 2 pm on a Saturday, and there was barely any wait to order our food. I got the beef rib, the brisket, the poblano jack sausage, potato salad, and the mac and cheese. By far, the beef rib was PHENOMENAL! Juicy, melty fatty, and easily able to tear off pieces with just a plastic fork alone. This was perfection. The brisket, I wish that I had specified that we wanted moist fatty, as I think that we were just given the leaner cut of the meat, but regardless still good! Poblano jack sausage was cheesy and tasty as well! After you order your meat, you order your sides, and I really liked the potato salad and mac. Both were great! Onions, pickles, and bread were all complimentary, and you could get as much as you wanted. I also greatly preferred the spicy bbq sauce than their normal. The interior of the restaruant is homey and country-style. Also loved their selection of sweet teas and sodas! Glad that this place is so close to home!

The first few bites were good, but it then became cumbersome for two people to finish. The medium container was huge. I spent two days eating the leftovers and ended up throwing it away because I couldn't stomach it anymore. We also wanted mac and cheese as a side, but they were almost out, and it looked really liquidy.
