Our bartender was super nice. The bar and restaurant were very clean. The menu choices were really nice. They had a a "light" menu which I thought was great. I had a cup of their well known mushroom bisque and the crab cake. Their crab cake was all crab . My husband had their pork chop with mashed potatoes and asparagus. And we had their carrot cake for dessert. Holy moist cake with a cream cheese icing. Yum! I took off one star because the bar seats were not comfortable at all. I felt like I was sitting a mile away trying to eat. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Side note, they do not offer "doubles" for their drinks.

I do not know how The Perk does it but with the crowd they have, they get the meals out quickly. Competitive pricing. Owners visits around making sure everyone is enjoying their meal. My wife and I were also looking forward to the Friday/Saturday Queen Cut ribeye, but since it was sold out we went with the NY Strip and the Swiss & Wild Mushroom Burger. Both were tasty. Our daughters enjoyed the Linguini & Clams and the Boursin Bacon Burger as well. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The only minor downside was that our water glasses weren't refilled unless we asked. One surprise was how quiet it was for 6:30 on a Friday night. It wasn't busy at all, but that made it easy to have a conversation without competing with a noisy dining room. We finished with the crème brûlée and chocolate mousse cake, and both desserts were a great way to end the meal. Overall, a nice dinner with good food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Hopefully next time we'll get to try that Queen Cut ribeye!

And do no sleep on their thick cut bacon, which is meaty and delicious and coated in a buttery mapley goodness that tasted like Heaven. Things to note: they only take cash, and on the weekends, there's an hour limit (meaning you can't dawdle) so they don't have lines piling up outside. Then came seared rare slices of NY strip with broccoli rabe, scalloped potatoes, and steamed albino beans. A scoop of watermelon sorbet to cleanse the palette was followed by a desert of peach bread pudding with blueberry compote and crème freche.
