This New Orleans style spot delivers a dinner of 3 falling off the bone ribs, 2-3 sides and a first timer welcome drink all for 20-21 bucks before tax n tip. The ribs and sauce are some of the best I've had in LA joints. Fat and flavor and tangy perfect sauce is are topped with complimentary corn "pancakes" browned as if on an iron griddle. This was a new one on me and some thin I'm gonna try at home Real soon. The Mac n cheese is for sure my favorite I've ever had except for my own at home. This is a Real Cheese flavor type Mac n cheese and I know how much cheese that takes! The top layer is pure cheese and just perfect. The special blue Bayou Punch was also complimentary as a welcome for my first time there. I already love this place for the genuine friendliness and welcoming I got there today. Some things money just can't buy and are getting harder and harder to find! I will report back in the peach cobbler soon. Parking might be a lil tricky here so it will you don't want to back yourself out after shoe horning in- just be ready to park on the street and walk a bit... it's good for you anyway...

I placed a ~$30 to-go order but had an emergency with my daughter and couldn't pick it up. Called the next day and was told it was thrown away and I'd have to pay full price again. I understand policy, but no flexibility at all in a situation like that doesn't feel very community-oriented, especially as it seems that they are offering to remake food for certain individuals based on these reviews. Left a bad impression and I will not be returning.

Waited another 10min, while I saw other people picking up orders, so I checked in again. Same response, not ready yet. Another 10min passed by, now I'm seeeing people who came after me get their orders before me. Asked the staff again for my order status. The order pick up window person shouted my name to the kitchen each time I checked in. Finally the 3rd time they responded, they start arguing, apparently my order was done a long time ago, and it was given to someone else. It took 30min to figure out that my order had already been done and given to someone else because there was no communication between the kitchen, order staff or pick up staff. no apology, just got my food after the argument 3minutes later...Food was average, definitely not worth a 30min wait.

Uncle Mac's Kitchen in G-Town. For those who know..... know!…read more The quick takeaway: great service, laid‑back ambiance, seriously good food, and parking that makes you question your life choices. The crew at Uncle Mac's Kitchen keeps things smooth, friendly, quick, and on top of orders without hovering. It's the kind of service that makes a casual seafood joint feel dialed‑in. Drinks, plates, extras... everything landed fast and hot. Food Highlights This is where Uncle Mac's really flexes. * Grilled Rockfish plate, "Wow" Clean, flaky, and perfectly seasoned. Light char, great texture, and a solid portion. One of those plates that feels both healthy and satisfying. "Oh yeah!" * Shrimp tacos, Juicy shrimp, fresh toppings, and a good balance of crunch and citrus. Easy win. * Fish burger with homestyle chips, a true sleeper hit. Crispy fish, soft bun, and those chips? Thick, crunchy, and addictive. * Tom Yum sidewinder fries, Wild card of the evening. Tangy, spicy, aromatic, like Tom Yum soup decided to become a fry seasoning. Weird in theory, fire in practice. The place is bright, clean, and super casual, the kind of place where you can walk in after work, grab a plate, and feel instantly comfortable. Modern touches, plenty of light, and a steady flow of customers. Only downside: parking is chaos thanks to the shared lot with every other restaurant in Gardena. If you see an open spot, take it like it's the last lifeboat on the Titanic. Miguel C.

The chips are homemade and he said that was the standout star. I read a review that the chips were stale. We came right at opening so they were freshly fried so maybe come earlier for fresher chips? Super friendly service.

The same thing happened on our second visit, and we were honestly heartbroken. However, Sunny (I think that was his name) went above and beyond to make sure we still got to experience their food. He kindly gave us samples of the Spam musubi and fried chicken to take home. That's 100% top-notch customer service right there! Since then, we've returned twice more with friends, and the food has been absolutely amazing. The shrimp is hands-down my favorite, and the karaage chicken with the green sauce is super addictive. I also finally got to try the crispy Spam musubi, which was unique and delicious . We'll definitely keep coming back. In fact, I'm tempted to throw a party just so I have an excuse to cater from them! Even though they're located inside a food hall, you can take your food and enjoy it anywhere in The Enclave's spacious outdoor seating area, which makes it a great spot to hang out and enjoy a meal with friends.
