Their fried chicken sandwich is hands down one of the best I've had, it's the reason I keep coming back. Every meal I've had has been great, but that's my go-to order. Whether I'm meeting friends or grabbing a casual meal, Honor Bar never disappoints. Highly recommend if you're looking for consistently great food, excellent service, and a spot you'll want to come back to again and again.

Me and my significant other came inside to grab a drink at the bar and we were denied service because her shoulders were showing. I'm in utter disbelief. It's not like we are coming to a Michelin star dining establishment. This was extremely uncalled for. Especially as a repeat customer. I've been coming here for over 10 years!! Safe to say I will never come back to this location or even South Beverly grill. Not to mention it's 90 degrees outside at 3pm. As a foodie who dined at many Michelin restaurants (you can check my credentials on this app) I.E providence , ossteria mozza, le berniden, citrin, nozawa bar. But at Honor bar we are denied a drink cause my Latina brown skinned girlfriend was showing shoulder. And for context it's not like she was wearing LA casual sports wear. She was in designer capris and a top with expensive jewelry on (I am a jeweler by trade) I am appalled. Here's the kicker. I'm Jewish and they asked me to take my hat off when I can not for religious purposes. This is discrimination on another level.

Nua is tucked discreetly inside a hedge on a beautiful street, across from City Hall, in Beverly Hills. You need to know where it is or you might miss it. I found it by chance while looking for unusual brunch places and it was more than serendipity, it was Kismet. I wondered what Nua, the name, meant. It seems it is most appropriately translated as "authentic" or "fresh". That certainly fits our experience. It can also mean "flow" or "movement" and that also applied as the entire time we were there, a cool, soft breeze wafted around us from a combination of the fresh air flowing in from outside on a sunny temperate California day and the delicate waves emanating from the brilliant Vornados (the only kind of fans we have in our house!) positioned strategically around the room. Our first impression was: wow, beautiful place! The mid-century decor and fresh flowers, the vivid colors that were well coordinated to confer a cheerful atmosphere everywhere we looked, and the glowing light streaming in from the huge windows enveloped us in welcome. Our servers were exceptional. Rachel and Josh took care of us as if we were family. They checked on us at the right times and made sure we had everything we could have wanted, and so we did. The menu is a dream, even for vegetarians. We had a hard time choosing, so look at my pictures to see what we got. Everything was fresh, unique, tasty, and beautifully presented. There was 1950s and '60s music bathing us in a soft retro mood, and the dining room was intimate and elegant. Parking: it is hit and miss. Sometimes the nearest public garages are closed or full. I would use the valet for the hotel, right around the corner. It is reasonable and convenient. There has not been a more perfect setting for this one-of-a-kind experience. But, for us, it will not be a one-off. We plan to return and soon. Loved it so much!

The service here is excellent and everything ran smoothly with zero issues. The bread and butter here is excellent while waiting for your meal. I had the beef stroganoff, which is a comfort dish for me. It's hearty and delicious so I couldn't wait to try this dish. I was certainly surprised because I was not expecting it to be incredibly flavorful. It was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Highly recommended! We ended our meal with the devil's advocate flourless chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, which was delicious for being flourless. What a perfect way to end a tasty meal. My only complaint is the parking because we didn't know where we could park. We ended up getting a ticket because we thought we could park nearby. Definitely recommend asking where to park to avoid a ticket. Overall, we very much enjoyed our dining experience and will certainly be back to try other menu items.

We started with the farmhouse beets, a delicious balance of beets, arugula and dressing topped with candied pecans. The portion was more than enough so we boxed some up to leave room for the main course. Our mains were the wagyu beef stroganoff and the trout filet with blistered green beans. The stroganoff and pappardelle arrived in its own covered dish, so hot it sat on a wood base. While it was a good comfort food dish I thought the horse radish was a little too forward for my taste. It was my companion's entree and she really enjoyed it and there was enough to take home. I had the trout filet with its crispy pepita topping served with blistered green beans. Very happy with my choice and it was also a generous portion. Dessert was the yuzu olive oil cake for my friend and butterscotch budino for me. I loved the balance of butterscotch, crème fraiche, salt and pecans. And the pecan cookie was a great accompaniment. She enjoyed her selection as well. Corkage fee is $20. From the ambiance to the food and service, it was another great experience here. Parking was easy with metered parking along Beverly.

My first time coming to Soom Soom - I'm going to give it a 4 out of 5 stars this time around…read morebecause I was extremely hungry and I ate the food almost too quick to enjoy it fully. I plan to come back again to try it a few more times and update my review accordingly. This place reminds me of a fast food/Chipotle-style eatery, but serves Mediterranean food instead. You order the type on entree you want (Shawarma, kabob, schnitzel, koobideh - pita, plate or wrap style) or a la carte with the sides. Each Pita/Wrap/Plate comes with your choice of rice or couscous, 4 sides, and 2 half pitas. 1. Beef Shawarma Plate (4.5/5) The beef is cooked on the famously known Middle Eastern vertical rotisserie for well-balanced roasting. I can taste a bit of the Middle Eastern spices used in the seasoning of the meat. The beef was sliced very thinly, was not dry, and portions were reasonable. It was delicious to eat on its own, when mixed with couscous, and when used as filling in the pita wrap. Comes with 2 sides of dressing. The white color dressing (not sure what it is) was bitter, which I was not a fan of. However, the spice tahini sauce was very good and very mild in heat. It had a light tartness to it that gave additional flavor to the dish. *Tabouli salad (5/5) This is a traditional Middle Eastern salad consisting of fresh finely chopped parsley, mint, tomatoes, and green onions, with bulgur wheat and mixed with lemon-olive oil dressing. The parsley flavor was robust and the salad overall was fresh and refreshing. *Side of Beets (5/5) - fresh and crunchy. I hate preparing beets on my own at home due to their staining effects, so when I can get it fresh at a restaurant, it's my go-to. It is packed with fiber, micronutrients and nitrates, which helps to lower blood pressure, inflammation and improve athletic endurance by improving blood flow. Beets pair well with hummus and Tabouli salad. *Hummus (5/5) - I personally found their house-made hummus to be quite good. It was creamy, very smooth in texture (no grainy-ness at all), and had a strong chickpea nutty flavor profile. It has the perfect consistency to eat on its own, to mix with your meat and couscous, or to use as a base for your pita wrap. Minus half a star only because staff were not very friendly. They spoke very softly, which required me to ask them several times to repeat, so that was a bit annoying.

Came in for a quick bite to eat before a show down the street at the Troubadour. Everything was great. Staff was friendly and helpful, the food was made promptly and brought out to us. It was towards the end of our meal that things got interesting as I had asked for hot sauce for my taco sampler The server mentioned some super spicy taco they had. Now I can handle extreme heat (I could do Hot Ones no problem) and more often than not I'm let down by what most places consider spicy. Not this time however I knew it was gonna be good when the staff from the kitchen started to check me out after it was ordered. No. What Guisados does exceptionally well is satisfy late-night taco cravings, especially after a night out of cocktails and shots. Nestled right between the bars, it's the perfect stumbling distance when the night is winding down and hunger starts making decisions for you. The tacos are flavorful, the stewed meats hit the spot, and somehow everything tastes even better when you're debating whether to go home or order one more drink. My biggest advice: get there before last call. Otherwise, expect a long line. So, is Guisados the greatest taco place on earth? Probably not. Is it exactly what I want when I'm hungry, exhausted, and looking for salvation wrapped in a tortilla? Absolutely.
