I've been a resident of Country Hills Apartments since 2021. I will admit, when I first got here, I thought it was just a place to stay and an average affordable apartment. The place has been far more than that. No place I've ever lived has been perfect, but the staff here are amazing. If you find yourself at odds with either the manager or staff, you're probably doing something wrong. From my first day to present, the complex has been well kept, most residents take pride in their area, and if you have an issue, it's not dismissed and generally taken care of in a timely matter. if I could leave no stars I would. Dont live here these people are crooks who will keep your deposit no matter how well you clean when moving out. you can put a request to have something fixed and they'll never come then blame you for the problem when you leave. sure it's inexpensive but for good reason! no matter how clean you keep the home there's roaches everywhere especially behind the fridge's and cabinets, disgusting. You can mention it to them but they won't reply. terrible people running this establishmen! if you don't mind your deposit being stolen and roaches this is the place for you. read more

The Country Hills Apartments Property is a great place to live! I have been living in my 1 bedroom apartment for a few years now. It is about 525 square feet, which is fine for me. There is no balcony though, which I do miss from time to time, but not a dealbreaker for me. The management and maintenance staff is FIRST RATE! Carolle and Angelie, the manager and assistant manager, are extremely helpful and friendly. Any maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently. Siggy and Brian, the main maintenance men are great and promptly take care of any issues that crop up from time to time. Jenny is also a true treasure! She is very friendly and helpful! If you are looking for a small cozy place to call home, Country Hills is a good place to do so. The property is clean, well maintained, and quiet. Highly recommended! read more

I've lived here for about 10 years now. I chose this place because it provides easy access to pretty much the entire inland empire. The apartments themselves are on the small side, but it does come with a big walk in closet, so that's a plus. I also heard that Perris is not the best part of the inland empire to live in. This is not true of Country Hills. The management and the tenants go the extra mile to make this place it's own community. My neighbors keep an eye on my truck as well as keep an eye on any foot traffic that enters the complex. Management is constantly going out of their way to check in on me to be sure everything is okay and to see if I need anything for the apartment. They check my air filters regularly, replace the bathroom and closet lightbulbs whenever they go out, and even installed a safety bar for me in the bathroom. The complex has recently become smoke free, which is great for some of us! I see the quality of life constantly changing around the complex. Management is constantly doing events to interact with our community and raffling off care packages. They even do regular contests where you can get $50 off your rent. I actually won twice. With the pandemic in full swing, they have knocked off 10% of our rent for paying early, and offered assistance to any who might struggle to make their payments. They offered all of this proactively without my having to ask. If you are looking for a 1 bedroom place to rent, as all units here are 1 bedroom, this place offers significant quality for a really low price. You may have read in other reviews that Carolle can be strict, and she can, but if you treat her with respect she will go the extra mile to make this the best place to live. read more

This place has no customer service skills and cares very little about the tenants. In today's economy they're so quick to take your money and not provide adequate parking for all the people that live here. You only have one parking spot available, if you have a second vehicle forget it! You used to be able to park across the street, down the street, and even in the front and they're so quick to have you towed...for what? To have available parking for future residents to park and be treated the way were already being treated. So quick to have you towed, when you have any issues that need to be fixed they're so lackadaisical to be compassionate or even have any regard for human needs yet they're so prompt to take your money. I can't even have my family visit without it being a hassle to find space, is very disheartening that this apartment complex is not willing to help the tenants that pay to live here. read more

Fuck the managers. My fiancé lives in these apartments and I park in the front AFTER THE OFFICE IS CLOSED . Cause the area has someone always breaking out the back lights and I don't want that to happen so I park there till 8 am when the office opens and they put a sticker on my car saying I NEED to tell them who I'm visiting when the parking sign literally says 1 hour parking from 8am to 6pm mon - fri nothing else except the towing info ! read more

The place is clean and they even have a night number to call if you have maitenance troubles. I've been here since 2018. I recommend anyone to rent from country hills apartments. There's no place like home here. The apartments are affordable and well kept. Carole and Roxana who are in the front office, promptly respond to your maintenance calls or any other issues that may arise. I have always received proper attention to any concerns. Carol and Roxanne have both been very nice towards myself and my boys. I absolutely love what they are doing with the complex (veggie garden, new roofing, new laundry facility etc). The only reason I left this complex was because I found a bigger place to myself and kids. I would highly recommend country hills to anyone, it's a very nice community hidden in Perris. read more

I've been here for over 15 years. There are people living here now who have been here longer then me. There are Pro's and Con's to living here as to living anywhere. Let me go over some of them Here are the things I like about Country Hills 1) The location is good if you don't have a car. The health clinic, library, train station, markets, fast food, dollar stores city hall, police station, dentists, vet etc are all within walking distance. 2) The crime rate within the complex is low even if we don't have a security guard walking around anymore. The surrounding neighborhood though run down, is not really dangerous either. It looks more shady then it is, for those who automatically associate poverty with crime rate. It's really not bad. 3) The management has always attempted to foster a sense of community here among the residents. There are events such as chili cook off or hot dog eating contest. Halloween always brings a party and also Christmas. Now there is always coffee in the hang out room with cookies. This encourages the people to gather. 4) The place is well maintained I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. Repairs are done almost always the same day you ask them to come. John the painting guy is constantly out there painting. You see him everyday. The gardeners come in the morning always out there trimming. Then the maids are always cleaning up the laundry area. The only thing I notice is the asphalt is cracked and it gives it a run down look. but nothing else is run down here. 5) We have a work out room now which is very cool. It used to be a rec room 6) Those that live downstairs have access to a plot of land that is great for those who like to garden. There are some BEAUTIFUL gardens here with residents talking such pride in their apartments. I enjoy walking around at night admiring the view. But as no place is perfect --here are some things I don't like: 1) The pool is not heated in the winter and we have no spa. 2) There is no place to hang laundry if we want to hang our laundry. 3) We can't have Direct TV installed here because of the way the balconies are shared.We are pretty much stuck with Version FIOS. TIme Warner can't come to all the apartments here. 4) There is no common antenna on the roof. MOST complexes though don't have that feature it would be nice if they did though. That way we don't have to get cable if we don't want. Radio reception is very poor: at least from my apartment 5) Some low- life scumbags obviously have been moving out and leaving their innocent cats behind.This is depressing for cat lovers. The wild ones live out of the dumpsters. The friendly one's come around and batt their eyes at the residents. I have trapped and spayed whatever females I could get my hands on . Hopefully some day we could have a TNR program here. read more

My appartment was bedbug infested during my stay. Judging from the number of mattresses stacked in the rear of complex, mine was not the only one infested. No treatment was ever given. When I moved, manager claimed the apartment was not not clean enough to justify a deposit being returned and did some creative accounting to show that I owed them more in addition to the deposit. read more

I have lived here for a little over 8 months. I appreciate the low rent. I feel thet maintain the outside of the property pretty well. When I have an issue they take care ofnit quickly. I am thankful the rent is affordable because its hard with a single income to pay all the bills and stay afloat. This review is solely about management communication. I received a 30-day notice today. When I called I was told that there was no reason for the notice, Carol just decided not to renew the month to month lease. My rent is paid on time, no disturbance complaints and no damage to the property. She said they have the right to not renew if they choose for no specific reason. I just want to send a warning to potential tenants to beware, when searching for a place to live, you may want to opt for a place that gives some consideration to others. It may be worth it to pay more rent somewhere else than to potentially end up unexpectedly homeless for "no reason". I am currently consulting an attorney and this will be posted on every site that I can find. I am also submitting to CBS2. People need to be made aware of this. read more

Put an application her and told them I had a emotional support animal they were okay with it until they found out that I had a pit bull they flat out said they denied my application bc they do not take dogs and of that breed I proceeded to tell them that it was agents the law to deny me bc of the type of animal I have and could not accommodate me bc she knows her right and that a emotional support animal does not complete a task. She had the nerve to tell me that it would be like if I brought a horse into the apartment and made them take it .which did not make sense at all since my dog only weighs 30lb full grown , very rude was arguing with me about the differences about a service dog and a ESA and would not let me talk they are breaking the law would give a lower score but I had to but something to leave a review read more

Place is pretty run down. They have been trying to fix the dilapidated stairs and patios for the second story but it's shoty workmanship they only reinforced with other pieces of lumber that are already cracking and falling apart due to them being untreated to withstand the elements. The pool is hardly ever maintained if I want to use it I have to clean it with the skimmer myself. Then others feel free to use seeing the work has been done. Don't look for anything nice or close to decent in the interior of the units. Pretty darn basic and falling apart. Walls are paper thin!!! You hear everything going on in your neighbors life......I mean everything thing and if you have a downstairs unit it might sound like your neighbors are practice their ufc moves but it's just how the apartment is. I had issues with my neighbors smoking weed all the time and having parties till 3am stomping an talking loud . When I called the property manager she basically said I have to put up with it. We've only been living here 3 weeks and already have discovered that the complex is infested with cockroaches. Furthermore, the lease claimed there would be workers during the night just walking around to make sure that people weren't loud - have yet to see any and people are loud at all times of the night. The apartments have no ventilation whatsoever, very stuffy and very hot. If you want to cool off during the summer you can just run your air conditioning all day every day and have a huge bill, otherwise you have to suffer because even leaving your windows open all night will not cool your place down. Upstairs neighbor is clearly a druggy, you can smell the marijuana every night and the managers of the apartments don't even know this woman's phone number. She's your tenant, shouldn't you know that? I would not recommend living here and am planning to leave as soon as possible. read more
