The potential is there but Judith is chasing away this customer.

We both agreed the best part was the eggs, bacon and country steak. The biscuits were huge and we were both served 2 with our meals which is a plus. I want this place to do better but it was a flag that there was a "cook wanted" sign on the door. If they get an experienced short order cook, I'm sure they can flourish as they have in the past. I know this is a local favorite and I'm willing to try it again but not for breakfast unless they have a different cook. The service was good as well. I don't remember anything over-the-top outstanding but these days, decent service might actually qualify as over-the-top relative to what you see at most establishments! To make matters worse, the air conditioning wasn't working, and while I understand equipment can fail, the dining room was quite warm despite several fans running. Our server was kind and did his best, but overall the experience didn't match what I would expect from a high-end restaurant.
