We do not recommend this company. They do not stand by their customers. They came to install a chimney on our metal roof. When they installed it, they dragged the metal parts up our metal roof and scratched it. They also almost fell off our roof and dented and scratched more panels. They damaged 12 panels and refused to replace them or come to our home and see the damages. We have emailed Spencer Lowes, the CEO, and he feels since he can't see all the damage in pictures that, there is none. We have invited him and his team to our home with our roofer to see it firsthand and have had no response. Let me tell you about my experience from start to finish. First off, trying to get ahold of anyone on the phone takes some time. I was able to make an appointment to have my chimney swept, which is a base price of 299. I was scheduled between 1 and 3, and they showed up well after 3. The techs were very nice and friendly. However, they left soot all over my property. Why they would leave a mess like this is beyond me. Why they would use my trash can and not have the decency to ask is quite rude. Terrible customer service! I ordered a replacement blower for a wood burning stove in February. The part was not shipped. Not sure why it hadn't shipped yet, but I was patient enough. So after waiting for more than two months I decided to cancel my order and asked for a refund on the deposit that I had made (over $350.00) on my credit card (which I'm still paying interest on) The supposed refund was supposed to take 3-5 business days. It is now going on two weeks with no refund. The new corporation/management is terrible. No return phone calls or updates as to why I have not been refunded! I will never go back nor will I recommend them. read more

I have my chimney cleaned every other year. I usually hire someone from Craigslist or Penny Saver. I decided to try Country Oak and Stove this time because I heard how good they are. Well apparently I have been throwing $ away in the past. Country Oak and Stive sent 2 professionals that did such a good job they actually filled 2 - five gallon buckets with the ash that was built up in my chimney! The previous people would maybe get ash about an inch deep. These people cleaned so well they cleaned out enough ash to practically FILL my fireplace to the top. See Photos. Was definitely worth the extra cost. I could not believe all these years I have been wasting $ on cheap chimney cleaning that only cleaned 10% of the ash out. My wife and I purchased a Howard Miller grandfather clock in January 2014. We had excellent customer service and Bart was patient when listening and answering our questions. Delivery and setup was just as promised. Only problem was the light didn't work when they set the clock up. No problem because they immediately removed the light fixture inside the clock, went back to the store to remove a working light from another clock, then came back to our house and replaced the light fixture. This completely saved us from having to file a warranty claim and wait for a new light fixture. Excellent customer service. We definitely recommend. read more

This is a 5+ star place. We went in looking for a fireplace insert. They have so many on display to choose from. Sharm, the store manager is very friendly and provided excellent service. He gave us a couple of options based on the information we supplied. We scheduled an appointment for him to come up to Lake Arrowhead for measurements and a visual inspection. He was right on time, advised what he thought would work and left us with plenty of information. We decided on a Regency insert and scheduled the installation. His staff took great pride in the installation. Robert and Sean are excellent at what they do. They were precise and careful throughout the process. It looks and works beautifully. P.S. We're so happy we decided to go with Country Oak and Stoves. Sharm was extremely patient and helpful and worked really great with us. His guys Sean&Thomas are the ones who came to the house also gave us suggestions and are extremely professional. They answered every question we have and addressed every concerns we had. They did the job in 2 days time. We're extremely happy and we highly recommend them to anyone needing any fireplace work done. We did a complete overhaul and replaced our gas fireplace with Kozy Heat Z42 wood burning stove and then modernized the look of our old fireplace by using very simple hollow beam mantel that my husband made, quartzite and gray slate. We also had them do our little backsplash to tie in the look together and make the design more cohesive through out the house. We attached pictures of the job they did. I purchased a used Pellet Burning Stove from Country Oak and Stove in 2012. I bought it for $3,700, a price which included the installation of the insert. The worker seamlessly installed it so that it fit nicely with my existing fireplace mantle. In addition, upon purchase, I was told by a sales associate that all the parts had been replaced, so, even though it was a Whitfield Pellet Stove from the 90's, it would work just like one of the new stoves. It has now been three years, and almost every moving part of this stove has had to be replaced including the auger motor and auger tube. In all, I have spent almost $1000 keeping the stove operating from year to year. Today, I was told by a repair person that all of the parts were original and that nothing had been replaced, a fact which is in contrast to what I was told upon my purchase of this stove. Two things are evident from my observations of Country Oak and Stoves: 1) They are not honest and will say things that are untrue in order to make a sale, and 2) They overprice their stoves in comparisons to others in the market. I wish I had shopped around more before buying a pellet burning stove, but at least I can warn other buyers about some possible problems that they may encounter with this company. read more

We had a new Wood Burning Stove put in yesterday and I couldn't be happier. From the minute we walked into the store we were welcomed and allowed to shop with any pressure at all. My wife changed her mind at least 20 times (Go figure) but that was never a problem and the order was placed. If I could give zero stars I would. Here we are in the dead of winter. Freezing temperatures and our pellet stove went out. Made a call to this company and they agreed to order the part they believed we needed. After waiting a month in the cold I called back and they said "oh ya. Your part is in. Sorry we forgot to call you". They then scheduled an appointment for the next week to repair the stove and do a thorough cleaning. After they arrived five hours late they charged us $250 to shop vac a 2x2 pellet stove then proceeded to tell us it would be $1000 to repair the stove. They then proceeded to tell us that we can just remove the stove and use our old fireplace as usual. Almost killed our family because they failed to inform us that their "thorough" cleaning didn't include cleaning the chimney or vents and the dust caught on fire as soon as we lit a fire. Furious!! Will possibly sue! Don't use this company. They simply don't care. Great companies will travel from down the hill and do a much better job. read more
