Fish basket. WTF!!!!
Michael B.

This place is a joke. Soup is cold, salad bar is full of dried out salads and veggies. Finally my main course: I order the fish basket. Supposed to be 3 pieces of fish and fries. I didn't want fries and ordered the cottage cheese. Cottage cheese is ok. The Fish!- take a look. Instead if 3 pieces I get 1 piece cut into 3 pieces. What a joke. Waitress was ok but friendly. Not eating here again. Cool- go back to culinary school and finish that train

A travel center? Not really! Country Pride is nothing but a truck stop with a menu full of fattening foods having flavors akin to that of Peterbuilt airbrake linings being served to obese truck drivers. The food is cheap, both in quality and price, served big portion size in a sort of diner like atmosphere with dirty floors next to an adjacent truck supply/convenience store. With the fact being that it is situated in godforsaken Barkeyville, it may indeed rate Five Stars, as another review gave it but more than likely being in comparison to anything else Barkeyville has to offer.

Steak & eggs with pancakes / fruit

Im not sure why this place is rated so low? What do you expect in a truck stop? The food is good and what other options do you have in Barkeyville... theres a burger king and arbys... people are ridiculous. If i had to compare this place to anywhere i would say its similar to an Ihop with a more country vibe to it. Food is good, food isn't expensive and servers are all very nice and attentive. If you're a trucker and dont feel like eating fast food, definitely a good and convenient alternative.

Nice and fresh salad bar with lots of good healthy choices. Also fresh hot soup. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy. Breading on the steak was much too salty but luckily the potatoes and gravy were not so it kind of balanced out. The meal came with the soup and salad bar. Hubby had the black bean soup and a flatbread with sauce and veggies that was a good size and again nice and fresh. We stopped for lunch so don't know about breakfast or dinner. Most other reviews are older so there may be new management. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend for good home cooked country food!

Grilled chicken, eggs, ss up home fries, dry white toast.

Trucker restaurant so ambiance isn't going to be all that. But the food was decent and our server was a sweetheart.

With that said, I found the place extremely clean, the work crew was very courteous and out order was ready quickly. We dined in as to take a break from driving. My buddy ordered a "double" roast beef sandwich and got a single. He went to the counter and it was resolved in less than a minute. I thought for sure they were going to just put more meat on the existing sandwich, but they proved me wrong. Brand new, fresh, sandwich. Zero complaints here.

In the addition, the air conditioning was very good and the dining room was spacious. The only big drawback here was the food preparation speed. It was a bit slow, but when the food came out it seemed to be prepared freshly and was very hot. This would normally be a negative trait, but considering the other food options around -- I'm happy to wait a little longer to avoid stale food. Portion sizes were fairly generous, but stick to the staple items like the roast beef, fries, and mozzarella sticks. The special items on the menu cost more and were really just minor variations on the core items (but weren't really that good). Overall, a solid Arby's location and a bit better than average for a fast food restaurant right off the highway.

Our server was Dustin (or Justin, we weren't sure) who was terrific (ask for him to wait on you, if you can!) I had the Italian Panini which was so yummy! Also the side dish of loaded mashed potatoes with gravy ..... They were just okay. It was quite a cold night, so 3 of us had nice hot cups of tea served in these quaint handmade mugs! And I had a glass of homemade root beer ..... ya can't go wrong! The prices are reasonable: my tea, root beer, and Italian Panini were $25. I think very moderate. Reservations are highly recommended. You can make one online for a party of up to 6. Larger groups must be reserved over the phone. Highly recommend and I would give it more than five stars if I could!

We enjoyed our Cajun chicken pasta (4.5/5) and the buffalo chicken sandwich (4.5/5). The Backpack Stash IPA was really good and this is coming from someone who doesn't drink much beer. The walls had a lot of cool historical vintage photos and antique items. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We had really good friendly service (5/5). We recommend this restaurant! Happy Yelping :)

Talbot's Taproom & Terrace is a local restaurant and bar that has terrific foods, drinks, and…read moreservice...and an atmosphere with colorful artwork and a Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Yeti family! Currently, this restaurant takes reservations only over the telephone, not online. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The seating hostess and waitress served us promptly and politely. The menu listed foods such as wings, crab cakes, salads, sandwiches, bowls, pierogies, tacos, chicken marsala, and salmon and drinks such as wines, cocktails, mocktails, sakes, and beers. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Duck Wontons - 4.5 stars - Wontons contained bacon, duck, onions, garlic, Swiss cheese, and French onion broth. Very flavorful. Deviled Eggs - 4.5 stars - The deviled eggs were filled with avocado, bacon, and tomato slaw. Shoot the Breeze - 4.5 stars - This entree consisted of a 14-ounce ribeye with chimichurri, pickled red onions, potato gnocchi, and garlic alfredo. The ribeye was juicy. The gnocchi were nicely cooked. Chicken and Ribs - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this special of chicken breast, St. Louis ribs, potatoes, and corn on the cob. He said that the grilling gave a better taste and that he enjoyed the Korean BBQ sauce. You're Doing Great - 4.5 stars - This mocktail contained non-alcholic orange aperitivo, lemonade, cherry, cucumber, and soda. The total price for these five menu items plus a soda and tax was $110, plus a tip. After our meal, my husband and I explored the outside. The waitress said that the Yeti father is named Osirus, the mother is Sasha, and they have two children. We also saw a treehouse, teepee, picnic tables, games, and woods.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION FROM START TO FINISH 10/10!…read more Perfection. Everything about Talbots is absolute perfection. I eat A LOT of food, and one common denominator I see among top-tier restaurants is that the owners and management are a direct reflection of the overall experience, quality, and taste. Talbots is no different. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, like lifetime friends. Our waitress, Teresa, was fantastic. She passed all the vibe checks and matched our energy immediately, all the signs of a veteran server you want guiding you through one of the best eating experiences of your life. She gave us her recommendations and left us to decide. We knew we were here for the #hashtagyouwont 36oz ribeyes, but we wanted to see what else was recommended since everything looked and sounded amazing. We decided to order a lot of food, almost everything that was recommended. This will be a bit of a long-winded review, but I'm sure the true foodies will appreciate it, so here we go: THE APPETIZERS The Brie: How can brie be so good that it deserves to be talked about first? I have no idea, but it was excellent. The strawberry-jalapeño jam, brie, candied pecans, baby naan, and fruit just worked so well together. An absolute hit. Pork Cheek Tacos: These melted in your mouth and exploded with flavor. They were also a really decent size, we were expecting little bite-sized tacos on a dumpling wrapper, but got two substantial tacos instead which was a pleasant surprise. Naan Bombs: Flat out delicious, and there were enough in the serving for everyone to have a few. Duck Wontons: So unique and flavorful. These were like little empanada explosions of flavor. THE MAIN EVENT: THE 36OZ RIBEYE When I tell you this was a perfect steak, this was a perfect steak. Cooked medium rare, oozing with flavor, and charred to absolute perfection on the outside. That is no easy feat with a cut this size, but somehow Talbot and crew made it seem like a walk in the park. Hidden under the steak, soaking up all the juices, are the house cut fries. I forgot they were even there because of the sheer size of the meat! By the time I discovered them, they were soaked with steak juice, but somehow remained crispy and soggy at the same time. It was brilliant, the fries almost had a poutine like aspect to them. Magnificent, completely unique, and made so much sense. As for the side of corn salad.... absolutely mind blowing. It just looked like corn with some sauce on it, nothing special at all. I am so sorry I underestimated you, Mr. Corn Salad. My God, this stuff was amazing. It didn't make sense to me, but I didn't care, I just kept shoveling it into my mouth. DESSERT We saved room for dessert (of course) and got three: The Chocolate Cake: A plate of pure, chocolaty goodness. Pecan Sweet Potato Pie: Spectacular. Coconut Cream Cheesecake: Wow. I am a sucker for coconut and cream cheese anything, and this checked every single box. THE VERDICT Throughout the night, we watched Talbot go up to each table to check in on everyone, and the chef even came out to talk to us. It was an absolute perfect meal top to bottom, start to finish. You can tell how much this entire establishment cares about what they do, and it is a direct reflection on the food. It's not often I can say a meal is flawless, so I have to give them their flowers in a long well deserved review. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a standing ovation for Talbots Taproom. P.s. Extra kudos for all the cool art and overall atmosphere. There is a ton of stuff to do outside as well but we were there on a chilly night so remained inside. We saw a patio, disc golf, and all sorts of other activities, even a tree house. We can't wait to make the hour trip again and enjoy all they have to offer once summer is in full swing!
