OnionRingus Gigantincus !!! The Blackout Burger Bar is an establishment focused on...You guessed it, Burgers. This Burger Bar is located in a strip mall, minutes away from The Grove City Premium Outlets, gas stations, hotels, shops and other restaurants. Blackout can be a very busy place, so be warned, as it caters to a mix of locals, hotel guests and the outlet mall shoppers. Luckily, I went just before the dinner rush on a Saturday and was seated quickly. The menu has a selection of items, including their featured and more popular burgers. You also have the option of building your own burgers, and every table comes with a build-your-own sheet with multiple choices for customizing your burger. I ordered the 'Range Roaming Bison Burger' with bacon cooked to medium well, as you have a choice on how you want your patty cooked. I also ordered a side of their monstrous, massive onion rings that they are also known for. The food came out quickly, and my burger was cooked as I ordered it. The Onons rings were very crispy on the outside and were still hot inside as I got to the inside of them. They also have salads, soups, chilli, featured sandwiches, and apps on the menu. There is a beer menu that has standard and craft beer selections. The Blackout is a very popular spot for beers, burgers, sandwiches and accommodates people of all ages. Decided to try Blackout after visiting the outlets since it's right next door. It was off peak on a Wednesday. I sat at the bar. The bartender, Julie I believe her name was, was very friendly & efficient. They had just tapped the first pumpkin ale of the season, which was Dogfish Head. The tomato bisque soup was amazing, so creamy & flavorful and it came with oyster crackers. I got the Cali burger, which was a thick burger on a pretzel bun with mushrooms, Guac etc. Fries on side. The food was good as always , service was good. Very busy yet still received service in a timely manor . They have trails to ales beer there which I thought was cool since I live near TTA . If you're in grove city outlet mall , go right out of the main entrance up to the next light and take a right and go in and grab a bite or wet your whistle . You will be glad you did. read more

Overall a great burger. We went there to compare to our trips to Burgatory, which in our minds is the go to burger place in the area. I will say that, now, this will be our go to gourmet place if we want a burger. Pre covid, the bison burger from Burgatory, was hands down the best burger I ever had. Since covid, it hasn't been the same, The owners even told us nothing had changed. Bullshit. The taste of the meat has changed. It's still good, but not the same. Ordered the bison burger with the normal toppings I'd usually get, and it was hands down one of the best burgers I ever had. (Bro mans sammiches in Erie still reigns best). The bison flavor from pre covid Burgatory was there. And with the bacon and cheese toppings , it was marvelous. My wife got the signature burger and she said it was very good as well. Only reason this is getting 4 stars is the fries. I got the truffle Parmesan fries and they were ok. Very serviceable as plain fries but very generic as specialty fires. If we are going to compare to Burgatory, their fries are worlds above. Overall, we will defiantly be coming again. read more

Came for lunch while visiting the area. It isn't a big place, but they have a bar, some indoor and outdoor seating. Most of the outdoor seating is not shaded though. It is located in a strip mall with ample parking. They have a large selection of burgers and sandwiches and also a build your own section. I opted for a build your own and filled out my order form and handed it to the waitress. There were so many options and I appreciate the healthier options, as I was able to get grilled chicken breast on a bed of greens or lettuce wrapped and also sub the potato chips or fries for seasonal vegetables or salad. They had so many topping options and the first four were included. Anything extra ranged in price, but nothing more than $2. Chips were delicious! Really enjoyed our meal. read more

Still the best burger that I've ever had anywhere. The consistency is really quite amazing. They run an excellent food service business. 4 - I'd drive thirty minutes just to come here. Skip to the end to see my rating scale. Second time I've been to Blackout, and I've walked out satisfied both times. Nice selection of craft beers that they rotate regularly. I had a bison burger that was done exactly the way I like it. Mama had a chicken burger that she loved. It's small, but comfortable. Not overly cushy or fancy, but clean and inviting. Our waitress was perfectly attentive without being sickeningly sweet. Knew her beer list and menu off the top of her head. For sure we'll be visiting Blackout Burger Bar again soon. Eating here was a pleasant respite from a long drive! I was traveling through the area and was happy to find a neighborhood restaurant to try rather than just the usual fast food chains. They have virtually any combination of burger or chicken burger/sandwich, including build-your-own. The fries were hot and fresh, and I really enjoyed my shake. The restaurant was busy when I arrived, but the staff was friendly and got me seated right away. Definitely a step above what I expected in terms of quality and the experience. We stopped by here while looking for a place members of our group could eat. They also have vegan options, and all of their toppings are phenomenal! My only suggestion would be to flavor the veggie(vegan) patty more. It was a bit bland but has amazing potential. They were incredibly kind and accommodating to our allergies. I had the blackout melt which ranked up there with one of the best patty melts I've ever had- my only suggestion would be to slap it on some rye bread vs. sourdough (but that's personal preference). It was ok. Felt like it was trying to be Burgatory a little too hard. Burger was ok. Fries were ok. I did not enjoy the milkshake and would not recommend them. After trying Blackout for the first time meeting a friend I hadn't seen since the beginning of the pandemic for dinner, I would highly recommend it for a couple of reasons. My friend chose this place as a somewhat halfway meeting point from where I live in OH and where she lives in PA. While they really weren't limiting capacity or doing much other than wearing masks with regards to COVID, we were lucky enough to get a large booth for just the two of us. I tried the Bacon Burger that came with Bacon Jam, and it was just flat out delicious. For the jam to the seasoning on the burger, they didn't skimp on any toppings or flavor. Also, the fries were excellent and abundant. Our server (I believe Alexa) was also great. She checked in just the right amount of times and didn't really hassle us as we knew we were probably taking up her table longer than she'd liked since we were catching up. Unless you're still a little worried about dining in public (we both weren't because we're vaccinated), then I would highly recommend this spot for a good burger! read more

SO GOOD! This is exactly the type of restaurant needed near the Grove City Outlets! The burgers are a bit pricey, but they are 100% worth it! I'm a sucker for a build-you-own burger, so that's what I went with during my first visit. They use the notepad/golf pencil method, which is great for us visual people. I love being able to see all the toppings, bun types, sauces, etc. laid out right in front of me. I went with a classic ground beef burger with tomato, red onion, romaine lettuce, jalapeños, and sharp cheddar cheese. I also added a cracked pepper seasoning to my burger patty, and it was delicious. The thin, crunchy fries were cooked perfectly to accompany my burger. My meal ended up being about $13, but I didn't add a lot of the premium toppings. They had a small draft list that included a guava cider. It was fruity, slightly tart, and was extremely refreshing. There was a wide variety of options ranging from ales to IPAs. I would definitely return to Blackout Burger in the future and would be inclined to try the chicken breast sandwich! Maybe just a bad night. We ordered 3 burgers and 1 veggie burger. All 3 burgers were over cooked and not juicy. The veggie "burger" was also dry, was expecting an impossible or beyond burger(which is so much better) it was more like a bean burger. The fries were good. We decided to come here to meet up with a couple of friends, and were also curious about the establishment. It had been a while since I'd had a good burger and just the name itself had me intrigued. I ordered the Bison Burger with New Mexican Green Relish with a side of black beans. I was accidentally given fries instead, which likely turned out to be a better choice. The burger, which I had medium rare, was amazing and the fries went great with it. For dessert I had one of their homemade shakes. I ordered the Mint Chocolate Chip, but they did not have the mint, so just opted for the same shake minus the mint. The shake was super good and definitely tasted homemade. I also loved how the bottom of my glass was inundated with dark chocolate chips that I ended up feasting on. The extra whip cream also added a nice touch. We loved the outdoor seating, minus the wind and rain storm we encountered at the end. The restaurant is tucked away from any busy thoroughfare and the outdoor seating was nicely arranged with calm and quiet surroundings. Last and certainly not least, our waitress was exceptional. She said she knew me from somewhere and knew my name. I believe she knew my group as well, but we never could figure out where we knew each other from. The entire time she was friendly, upbeat, and very much on top of our orders. In summary, I think I speak for my group in saying we loved our experience. The food was excellent. Nothing fancy. I had the pleasure of trying out the new Blackout Burger Bar in Grove City today. You can find burgers all over town - even some that call themselves "craft" burgers - but this was truly the best gourmet burger in the Grove City area. The menu offers a wide variety of signature burgers. My choice today was the Bacon Jam Burger - a pepper crusted beef patty done to my preferred juicy pink, house-cured bacon, bacon aioli, bacon jam, smoked provolone plus lettuce and tomato. The result was a wonderful concoction of bacony burger bliss. Since we were sampling the menu we also had the Maple Bacon Wings and House-cured Bacon Tomato Bisque. My cohorts all ordered custom burgers and all felt the burgers that they ordered were also perfect. The fries did not disappoint either. The restaurant features a great selection of vodka drinks as well as beer and ales. While it is still just newly opened, we did not experience any long wait time after ordering. I was surprised at how smoothly everything seemed to be running. We arrived early (around 4) for dinner and the crowd picked up real quick. I have heard of some waiting a while for a seat - but I have to say the wait would be worth it. I've been out to blackout burger 3 times and had the burgers twice (had the wings one of those trips). I found their namesake burger to be pretty salty, but really enjoyed the bison burger. It's not cheap and there's only one shared bathroom, but the food and service were solid. read more

The burgers here were delicious. They were cooked exactly how we ordered them. I love the menu cards that let you customize your burger. The fries are thin and crispy. I wasn't a huge fan of the cheese sauce that I got on the side for my fries. It was okay, but I would get something different next time. They have a ton of different sauces to choose from. It was hard to decide which one to get. Neither of my kids really liked the chicken strips but they both liked the fries. read more
