I would never recommend this place. The tow truck driver was very kind, but they are dishonest people. My daughter was in a car accident 5 days ago. My husband had just been admitted into the ER that same day for multiple pulmonary emboli and Deep Vein Thrombosis. Our day was unimaginably horrible. As you can see by the texts, the tow truck driver arrived on scene at 9:26pm. So lets be generous and say 9:20pm but you can see at 9:19pm I say we are still waiting for the tow truck. The police officer is the one who pointed a the arriving tow truck and told us he would give us a ride off the the freeway (max 2 minutes). My friend was waiting for us there. At 9:35pm I make the comment to my friend that we were in the truck but that the driver keeps getting out of the truck. And he did. He moved the truck two different times and got out to talk to people. He would get out and talk to other tow truck drivers (multi-car accident). Finally he get got back in the truck and we met my friend who was picking us up 2 minutes from the accident sight. My friend and I emptied the contents of the car in to a bag. That took about 4 minutes max. It was very quick. There wasn't much stuff. Then, as you can see, it is a 7 minute drive from where the tow truck driver dropped us off to where the tow yard is. It took the driver about 7 minutes to load the car so I cannot imagine it took him more time to unload it. But lets say it took 10 minutes. 9:20-9:40 - on scene of accident. 9:40-9:45pm - empty car. 9:45-9:52pm - drive to tow yard. He would DEFINITELY be done by 10pm max. Standard practice for tow trucks is to start charging from the moment the car is loaded. We own a fleet of 50 vehicles. We use tow trucks. We will never use this company for our fleet. Why were charged for TWO HOURS?? How?? Why?? My husband was laying in a hospital bed, my daughter was in a horrible accident, and this company charged us an extra hour - why?? We already have medical bills out of our ears, we didn't need this. Sheesh. I understand the need to pay. But man, just choose to be honest about it. I just cannot recommend this place. I'm about to open up a tow yard just to compete and put them out of business. Ethics matter. read more

I would give Countywide towing a negative review if possible. My stepson was in an accident today and it took less than one minute on the phone with the receptionist to see what a horrible person she was. I would recommend any other tow company in town before I would recommend Countywide towing and I have never done business with any of the other companies but ther is no way they could be as hateful and rude. read more

The woman working at the front desk was extremely rude and, in my opinion, should not be in a customer-facing role - especially when dealing with people who are already going through a stressful situation. I don't have any issues with the tow truck drivers; they were just doing their jobs. However, I found it very inappropriate when they commented that the rates "aren't bad" and that I could afford it. It's not their place to decide what's affordable for someone, especially when that person's vehicle has just been towed. Additionally, I was told that the fee would be lower if I came the same day my car was towed, which I did. But when I arrived, the woman at the front desk acted like I had made that up and dismissed the information I had been given earlier. horrible tow company. towed my vehichel which is equipped with an electronic parking brake assembly. and never put the vehichel on dolly's or skids. just drug it with the wheels locked up. when I asked about this they said they used rollers to move the vehichel. when I told them I saw video of them towing it with no rollers and just dragging it with locked wheels they got very defensive and said that's how they've done it on vehichels like this for over 20 years. electronic parking brakes haven't been around for 20 years. I caught their lie and rather than admit their improper tow procedure and apologize. they told me too bad and that I just have to deal with it. so all I can do is warn the next victim. this place is a mess and very disrespectful. if you want a good towing service call HANKS TOWING. best in the area. read more

Guy came out to my residence to jump my vehicle he could not make it up the driveway because the wheels on his car wear threaded bare. Wondering how he pass state inspection let alone working with a vehicle that is incapable of driving up my drive way with 2 inch of snow. Would never use their service again. Countywide is one of the best companies I have used. The drivers are courteous and respectful of your vehicle which was huge to me being that I drive a Mercedes and was worried about possible damage. Their truck and equipment were nice and got me where I needed to go for a decent price. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend. Am I glad these guys are around. I enjoyed a long day of off roading on Mccain Valley Rd. When I was finally done, my baby's (a 2003 Xterra with Calmini Lift) right lower control arm broke. I was not able to move an inch. I was at mile marker 10 when this happened. I had to abandon my truck. Once I was save and sorry at home, I called Billy at County Wide Towing in Jacumba to tow my truck back to their yard. If it wasn't for them, I fear I would have lost my xterra. Really efficient, honest place. They told me clearly knowledgeably and respectfully what I needed to pick up my recovered stolen truck. When I showed up, instead of taking my money and then giving me the pile of junk that the thieves turned my truck into, they let us look first. Hopefully they won't take ownership of the truck before the insurance has given us the reimbursement check and pays them off. Ask to speak with somebody else because not only is she super rude she has useless information. They really need to work on their customer service or fire her!
