We're in the middle of a kitchen remodel, and our contractor was moving water lines while we were away on vacation. When we came back (and our contractor went out of town), we came home to problems with our hot water pressure not working. After texting the contractor and trying to figure out what valves and knobs to turn, we were still having problems. One too many cold showers later, I called Courtesy Plumbing to check things out. The receptionist who took my call after business hours on a Friday night was super kind and got me scheduled the next day. Anthony arrived on a Saturday before the estimated window time and was awesome! He was super kind, loved my dog who's terrified of strangers, and was great at explaining the problem of a broken water heater valve stem. Before he started doing any repairs, he went over estimated costs (which were fair compared to a quick Google search average) and what would cost the job to change if he had to use different parts. He never tried to upsell me on parts or services I didn't need. I appreciated him protecting my new floors and cleaning up after himself before he left. He went as far as to give me questions to my contractor too regarding some of the plumbing done on our remodel since the walls were still opened up. (Not from San Francisco, Ca...Manhattan, Ill) Just want to share a very good experience I had with Courtesy Plumbing this past week. I called about installing a new sealed battery backup system to our sump pump. I spoke to Ronda who offered several options, including my buying the sealed battery itself and their guy would install it to fit with the rest of our backup system. I found out when I went to purchase the battery, that our old system would not work with the sealed battery. I ended up buying the entire system. Frank Moll came out the next day to install the system thinking he would just do the battery install. Frank was very informative and knowledgeable about the system and told me to install the system would be more than double what ROnda had quoted me. He called Ronda and got a very equitable install price for the new system and was complete in about an hours time. Those are the facts. What struck me about my entire experience was the professional responsiveness to accommodate a customer that both Ronda and Frank demonstrated to make me a happy customer. They did! We called courtesy plumbing on Monday. They were able to schedule us within an hour and a half. Our water from the sink toilet and kitchen sink were backing up into the bathtub. After trying all of the recommendations in Google. I needed to hire a plumber. I went with courtesy plumbing because of their prior yelp reviews as well as a free estimate. Ronnie showed up and gave us the cost upfront. He ride it out our plumbing line through the whole house. Unfortunately we were unable to resolve the issue that day. However he came out on Wednesday. He called me ahead of time and was on time. Ronnie was able to clear the issue after the water had receded and he was able to put in a camera and showed us the entire line and that it was clear. Ronnie was so informative. He answered all her questions. He was very professional. And although he had to come out twice the cost was still the same. We were very pleased with courtesy plumbing on their scheduling as well as their team member Ronnie. It is rare that I review on yelp but since it helped me choose this company I thought it only write to also list my review at an excellent experience. All to often, people in the Customer Service industry receive letters, emails and phone calls when things didn't do right on their projects or things still are corrected after the services were performed. I had both bath tubs back up in my rental unit in Aurora, IL. I had two plumbers, including Courtest Plumbing, and a drain cleaning company try to rod out the line all to no avail. Mike, with Courtesy, told me they would have to remove the tub and tub surround panels and jack hammer the slab underneath to get at the plugged up line. Mike and his partner were very knowledgeable about the situation, they were courteous, and I decided to go with them because of Courtesy's 40 years experience in the plumbing business. They did exactly as they said they would do and found 40 years of hair plugging the line up. They removed the plugged up galvanized pipe and replaced it with PVC pipe and re-cemented the hole where they excavated in the slab. They were prompt, they were neat and clean, and they did exactly what had to be done. I will , definitely, use Courtesy plumbing in the future for any of my future plumbing needs. read more

When it rains, it pours... I woke up at 1:30am to my sump pump alarming. Both my primary and backup pumps had failed. I called Courtesy Plumbing for emergency service at 3:00am. The dispatcher immediately answered, informed me that there would be a $150 emergency fee, and after agreeing, informed me that the crew would arrive with 1.5 hours. To my surprise, about 30 minutes later, Frankie and Justin arrived. Both gentlemen were very professional, wore shoe coverings while walking around the house, and explained the issue in detail. They were up front on the price before continuing their work and they did not charge an hourly rate which is an added benefit. My sump pit was 3 inches away from flooding the basement, but Frankie and Justin saved the day. I highly recommend Courtney Plumbing if you are in need, especially for 24x7 service. I had water dripping into a cabinet in the laundry room. Unsure of its origin. I had trouble-shooted a few possibilities, with no success. I made a call to Courtesy Plumbing after reading their reviews. Ronnie was at my house within 2 hours. He had been serving another customer in the area. He did not give up until the source of the leak was located. I was so relieved to finally take care of this issue. Ronnie came back the next day and took care of the leak with minimal damage to my walls. He cleaned up after himself and even mopped up the floor! While he was here he noticed the excessive corrosion on the drain to my utility sink and took care of that issue as well before it became an issue too. We have had many problems with plumbing in an older house I bought here in Woodridge in 2007. Won't attempt to list all details over the years. Courtesy was recommended by a neighbor when I had been frustrated that a previous company could not seem to fix our basement flooding problem. Courtesy came and listened when i explained what was happening. It was fixed within days. Since we have had other issues (hot water heater, sink faucets, etc.). All repaired or replaced reasonably and timely. Have to say my guy is Matt, he is very patient and efficient. Just had an other job done by them, part of a sewer pipe and the two men that did it were very good, sorry didn't get their names but considering the hot weather they got it done quickly and I did not want to bother them. Justin of Courtesy Plumbing came out today to install a reverse osmosis water filtration system under our kitchen sink to replace the existing system. From the point of entering the house till he left, Justin was very professional. He explained what he saw under the sink and what he would have to do to install the RO system and gave me the monetary estimate. Once I gave the approval, he went to work, and was very busy hooking up lines and installing different plumbing valves and other stuff. Once he was done, he showed me what he did and what the different lines were for and explained how the system works. I was very impressed with his knowledge and was pleased with the work and how he cleaned up the area and the materials. Courtesy Plumbing will certainly get more work from us in the future. Our sewer line began to back up around 11:00 p.m. I have had service work performed last fall (same issue) by Courtesy Plumbing and called the emergency service number. I was informed that they would send a plumber out first thing in the morning. Joe Neace (who was the one that did the work last fall, in 2021) came out and began the the unclogging process/routing out of the sewer line immediately. He was extremely well prepared, exceedingly courteous, and carefully explained all that he was doing and answered all the concerns that I had (reminds me of the teachers/professors that I have had). needed to change the kitchen faucet that was at least 15 yrs old. called Courtesy cos they had done a job before in my home to my satisfaction. Justin came, looked over and gave me a price. He recommended the Moen brand in place of the one that i had bought. he shared his experience as to why the brand i had was not as durable a faucet as Moen. (Remember, he is not in the faucet selling business). he also suggested the store to go to for better pricing. i found his honesty refreshing. he was back the following day and completed the task. this has been my second experience with Courtesy and i would recommend then with no hesitation. i have also realized they service AC and furnaces. I cannot recommend this company any more highly. I have had to call them three times and each time they sent incredibly nice, honest and competent people who fixed my problem at a very reasonable price. This last time it was because a clogged toilet caused a sewage backup into our basement. The young man who came, Anthony, was wonderful! He determined the problem, fixed it, worked with the remediation people and my insurance and made sure everything was in good shape. The next day we discovered that the water heater had been damaged and they sent him out again with a new water heater. I would not have trusted any other company. We plan to purchase a town home in Naperville and need to find a plumber to inspect the water stains on the garage wall. Saturday afternoon I called to make an appointment and the lady who answered the phone was very helpful and gave me estimated inspection cost upfront. We were able to get the earliest appointment Monday morning. Justin was our service tech. He called me 30 minutes before the appointment, showed up on time and did a thorough check for us. He was very knowledge, identified what caused the water stains without cutting off the dry wall. It was free inspection as the lady mentioned to me over the phone. Needed my kitchen disposal fixed, other side of the sink roded out and some other work done in the bathrooms. Got an estimate from two other companies. One was charging 500$ just for the kitchen and the other nearly 988 just to fix/ replace the disposal. I called courtesy plumbing they came the next day and quoted 150 for the kitchen. The guy did the work right away. Turns out my disposal was fine did not need to be replaced, there was just something stuck in there. now my kitchen sink is back to working. I will call them back to check the bathrooms upstairs to finish the job. But I'm very much satisfied with the little he did already. read more

I had family over for the holidays and noticed a drain that was backed-up outside of the house on a Sunday night. Courtesy Plumbing sent out James the next day and scoped the sewer line, it was completely collapsed. Turns out my home had an old clay sewer line. I couldn't use any water because it was sealed shut with mud and roots. Courtesy Plumbing managed to get a crew out to my home the very next day to replace the sewer line. They were very careful with the sump pump discharge line, the water line, and the gas line all within a few feet of where the sewer line ran to the main. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

We consider Frankie to be our plumber. He has done excellent work any time we've called him. So glad we found him. Several years ago our basement flooded after a major storm. Frankie was willing to work around the clock to help as many people as possible in the hours that followed that storm. We have had him fix many other plumbing issues since then.
