I'm a bigger lady and, because of that, need the bigger blood pressure cuff. The woman who took my blood pressure in the office used a small blood pressure cuff, causing a false reading of high blood pressure because it was severely constricting my arm. When I mentioned to her that I'm just fat but don't have high blood pressure, she just shrugged me off and told me to go to my doctor every few days to have my blood pressure checked leading up to the surgery. My doctor, being an actual medical professional, took my blood pressure correctly and determined that I did not have high blood pressure and immediately questioned if the woman that attempted to first take my blood pressure was even a doctor. Hilarious, inconvenient, but ultimately no big deal. My surgery date came and went and I immediately noticed afterward that I was having issues holding my pee. I mentioned this to the "medical" staff at Dr Stompro's office and they informed me that this is normal after surgery and that it should go away with time. When it didn't, I brought it up again and one of the "medical" staff at Dr. Stompro's office pointed out that it may be because of weakness in my abdomen or because of fat putting pressure on my bladder?? I don't know, whatever. So I continue on. I ignored it, I tried to treat it, and here we are. Y'all, I'm THREE YEARS past the surgery and I'm not even 30 and I'm still incontinent from this surgery. I've gone to a urologist that was too fat-phobic to even try to diagnose me, a physical therapist that figured it had to be because my pelvic floor was weak (then she determined it isn't), and another specialist that has finally determined that it may be a nerve issue (further testing needed). All we know is that I wasn't incontinent before the surgery and I am now. I called Dr. Stompro's office recently for the paperwork associated with my surgery so that I can pass it along to the specialist to see if it helps to determine a cause of the incontinence (and thus a fix) and the front desk person was rude for no reason?? I think she assumed I was getting the paperwork to sue?? I'm sure they all know I would have been able to sue because, and I cannot express this enough, INCONTINENCE IS NOT AN EXPECTED OUTCOME FOR LIPOSUCTION. Look, if I weren't outside of the statute of limitations I WOULD sue but, since I am, I just want to stop being incontinent. I'm still fat after my liposuction, which I don't mind! I'm soft and shapely and I love that, I just want to stop peeing on myself randomly. I'm now leaving reviews everywhere and filing a complaint against this office - I spent nearly $15,000 to be incontinent for potentially the rest of my life. Before the procedure, he spoke proudly about his hand technique being more skilled than using a laser machine. Unfortunately, my experience was devastating. The procedure removed layers of skin much more deeply than I expected, and the skin never recovered properly. I was left with permanent scarring and have spent more than 10 years trying to correct the damage and improve the appearance of my face. During my recovery, I was also asked to backdate a release so that he could continue treating me. I found that request deeply troubling and inappropriate. What makes this especially difficult is that I have to see the results every day when I look in the mirror. A procedure that I believed would be simple has had a lasting impact on my appearance and my life. They take the time to answer all your questions and even have a patient message board you can reach a team member at any time if something comes up later or you need help navigating the process. I originally went in for lipo with renuvion (j plasma) consult because after losing 100lbs I decent amount of loose skin on my tummy. Dr Bansal went over the pros and cons of what that procedure alone would achieve and in talking to him, I realized that my skin laxity and quantity would need a full tummy tuck for the results I wanted. I also did not know I had a pretty bad diastasis recti (separation of abdominal muscles) which he was able to address in surgery. I am so glad I listened to Dr Bansal. I'm about 6 weeks out now and already love my results so far. I was walking without a walker or a hunched over posture after week 1 and had minimal pain (just tight feeling which is expected) I also had a one sided breast lift and fat transfer to make my breasts more symmetrical and am pleased with how they are shaped. He was honest about fat transfer in that I may need a second session to achieve the fullness I want. He will definitely be up front about where limitations are based on your anatomy and what's achievable vs how many sessions you may need, etc Dr. Bansal likes to say they are a family and as a patient you become part of their family. I will say that they really do take care of you, especially if you are up front about questions or concerns. Tony called to check up on my progress in between visits every week which felt supportive. And they do go over more than just aesthetics. They talk about inflammation and stress and how that can contribute to a higher metabolic/physical age plus give you guidelines on how to counteract and reduce that moving forward. Maricel, Vanessa, Tony, and Roxanna were the dream team for me. They took care of my time off work paperwork, scheduling, pre/post op care and lymphatic massages. I saw a few plastic surgeons before Dr. Wotowic and none of them wanted to perform any surgery to correct the problem.
