We spent the day shopping at Cabelas. We used Yelp to look for a burger and beer. Less than 5 minutes down the highway from Cabelas is Cousins. A family of 4 enjoyed cheesy garlic bread and wings. Wings were good. Cheesy garlic bread was good. We each had a burger and fries. They were good. Definitely better than any of the chain restaurants that surround Cabelas. read more

If you're looking for bad food and even worse customer service Cousin's is the place to go!! Called in an order that my husband went to pick it up and the order wasn't correct. I called back to explain the issue and they offered to fix it if I wanted to come back....okay great as they should. She even explained that she wrote down 2 dozen and essentially messed up. I ordered 1 dozen San Antonio and 1 dozen bbq... I got 6 San Antonio and 6 plain without the bbq. When I went to go pick up what I thought would've been what I originally ordered 2 dozen wings I once again got 6 and 6. The owner threw the bag around the corner and said here you go. I said that's not what I ordered and he stood there arguing with me while I stated "it's not my fault you messed up my order" and his response was "hahahah I knew you were going to say that" and walked away. They eventually fixed my order but I shouldn't have to argue with the owner for him to fix his mistake. Maybe if him and his wife weren't sure A holes they would have more customers and employees who actually enjoy working there. read more

We met friends here on a Saturday evening. At 6:00 PM maybe 10 customers in the place. We ordered a beer and a glass of wine while waiting for our friends. They took about 15 minutes to arrive. Long waits in a near empty place was the theme throughout. Friends arrived and we ordered. My side salad took 15-20 minutes to arrive. But one star earned for a fresh, not bag, salad. Our meals arrived about 15-20 minutes after the salad (the place is still empty even though the Penn State game will be starting very shortly.) I had the pub shrimp basket-$10.00. It arrived as described-fried breaded shrimp in garlic butter & fries. I received about 12 small previously frozen shrimp and a small handful of lukewarm previously frozen fries. I could duplicate it at home for a couple of bucks. Our friends had what appeared to be previously frozen chicken fingers and the same fries. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich which she described as being not too bad. She thought the roll was either over-toasted or stale. To summarize, typical bar food straight out of a freezer. I gave Cousin's a second star because the place was clean, the burgers served to a nearby table looked good and we had no complaints with our server. Now the kitchen and bar staff working at a snail's pace? That's a different story. Whoever owns and/or manages the place must have very low expectations As we leave the Penn State game is underway (8:30). This sports bar with a couple of dozen TVs is down to about six customers and the wait staff is starting to sweep up the dining area. If I were to rate Cousin's solely for their beer selection (both bottle and draft), I would give it a 5 stars for having by FAR the greatest craft beer selection near Hamburg, unless you feel like driving to Reading or Allentown. They usually have a few great crafts on tap and a bunch in bottles. The last time I stopped in, the waitress immediately presented our table with the huge beer list, and everyone at the table was able to find something he/she liked. I would suggest trying something other than Coors or Bud Light when visiting Cousin's, especially if you actually enjoy beer. The servers are friendly, but these places are almost always understaffed, so the service is usually a little slow. However, every waitress I've had there has been eager to please. During our last visit, our busy server forgot to bring ketchup before we were finished with our meal, and to compensate, she offered to take five dollars off our bill. I have only eaten here a couple of times, and while the food was not extraordinary, it was good--exactly what I expected. I have not had the pizza, but I have heard that it is good, and plan on trying it eventually. If you are looking to go out and have beers with friends, Cousin's is clean and friendly. The only downside (for me) is the sometimes rowdy clientele they get on weekends, but there are a bunch of tables that bar guests are welcome to sit at away from the rest of the crowd. read more

my husband and I ordered delivery through DoorDash for the big game. February 7. Not only did the driver have to wait at the pub for an hour and a half for our order but the total wait time to actually receive our food was 2 1/2 hours. When we finally got our food there was things missing. Everything was cold and the quality was terrible. We ended up throwing it away and eating sandwiches. We spent almost $50 for this meal consisting of boneless wings and fries. Never again! We are done with this place! read more

The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because there have been several occasions I was "overlooked" at the bar and my glass sat empty at length before the bartender noticed. Not sure what place the people that left bad reviews were visiting, but it couldn't have been this place. The owners (Alfredo and Sue) are amazing. They keep a great staff of fun and energetic people. The food is great and ever is cold. Not sure what else you could want. Kendra behind the bar is the most fun having, knowledgable bartender around. One of the waitresses, Jessica is a total sweetheart that is on top of everything. Denise, another member of this awesome staff, is lightening in bottle. Just a blast. Visit this place. Visit often. read more

Good neighborhood bar. Too bad PA still hasn't banned smoking in bars but, what can you do. Their wings are quite good, they have lots of TVs, and a pooltable that opens late in the evenin. Sizeable after-work crowd of construction worker/mechanic types makes for a very casual, sports-bar atmosphere. A few older folks and families come here for dinner, which seems a little weird, but I guess it's the only TGI Fridays-style restaurant anywhere near here. This place used to be a family favorite of ours back in the day. NOTE: BACK IN THE DAY. Now I don't think it could get any worse. DONT EVER order a soda or water (anything from the gun) because it will taste just like the inside of the pipes, which I'm willing to bet haven't been cleaned since the new owners bought it...5 (?) years ago. Not only can you not drink anything non-alcoholic, but your service will most likely make you want to walk out and the food is less than satisfactory now. The new owners took most of our favorites off the menu and cut corners with the rest (I'm fairly certain to save money - there's evidence of this all over the place in there). For how much I used to love coming here for some wings, beer, and football; I hate it that much now. I come here most Sundays during football season and it's always the same. I'll start with the staff. The brunette bartender on shift is very snobby and slow. She made our server (and more importantly us) wait almost 10 minutes before pouring our beers, as she was too busy socializing and texting on her phone. As far as the servers go, they are nice but quite clueless when it comes to the beer that they serve. When an establishment carries as many craft beers as they do, there's no reason a server should think Angry Orchard or a Kolsch counts as an IPA. With all that said, the food there has always been delicious and despite everything else, it keeps me coming back. (Along with the NFL Sunday ticket). read more

Just there last night for the AYCE wings for the first time. I (used to be) a regular there. I dont think I'll be going there again anytime soon. First off the service sucked and of course the big group of loud asshole teenagers had to sit next to us. Well you get 12 wings to start and that took about a good half hour and they were delicious...So i put in another order....30 more minutes later the server comes out with 6...yeah 6 wings in a half hour wtf and they barely had any sauce on them and they looked like the rejects of the bunch. Most didnt even look like chicken wings. Who knows ? They didnt even taste good. Another order later another 30 minutes another 6 reject wings.. Whatever you lost a customer. Cousin's has potential. I've had decent food there and the wait staff is generally pretty pleasant. That said, the bar staff seems to be more interested in flirting with guys and looking cool than making sure customers are getting what they asked for. It's a nice property. As noted below by other reviewers their tap water tastes bad which is a great reason to provide bottled water for customers HOWEVER I think it's really crappy that they charge $2 a bottle for water that can be purchased at Sam's or Walmart for $4 a case. Good place to watch a sports game. Waitress was nice and was even willing to change more TVs to the flyers game. Love the place having more TVs then you can ask for so you always have a view. Horrible. I went for lunch and they didn't even turn the lights on when I came in. Really? pay an electric bill and get some lighting. It makes me think they are trying to hide dirt. Then I ordered a cheese steak and fries and the old guy/server/owner brings me my food on one plate??? The gravy I ordered on the fries was all over the plate and my cheesesteak! Just visited with my wife tonight. Tuesday is AYCE wings. This place used to be a favorite back when it was new, I even helped the owner get a few Superbowl memorabilia items for on the walls. Time and more area choices have taken its toll sad to say. The majority of the menu is fried, disappointing since I know the owners late father owned the best pizza/Italian place in the area years ago. On this trip, my wife ordered the fish and chips basket, she was served the fish sandwich with fries. The waitress apologized because she ordered the wrong thing from the kitchen. I ordered the wings, teriyaki was the first flavor....tasted like they added worstershire to the sauce making it weird but edible. The wings themselves were a little over done, like they baked them first to speed frying time. BBQ was second flavor, it had a good smokey flavor. The drinks, as stated in a previous comments were not good. Soda was watered down or the mix was off, the "sweet" tea was ok but not like you would expect and the reorder was "unsweet" tea. The best part was that the waitress bought my wife a cannoli for messing up her order! Table was sticky, service was sub-par, had to wait for the wings even though they were ordered when I received my first batch. Considering the crowds they used to have every night of the week, sadly this restaurant might be in need of some help from Robert Ervine (Restaurant Impossible) or Jon Taffer (Bar Rescue) if they don't soon make some positive changes! Less than so-so food. We had pierogi appetizer - they were fried so hard it made it difficult to eat. Fajitas were ok, but the tortillas were too large to easily roll. Usually you would expect a 6-8inch tortilla. They use the extra large 12 -14" variety. And they werent warm enough to be pliable without breaking. Soda was horrible. My husband ordered a Shocktop beer and enjoyed it enough to order a 2nd one, however he was served a MillerLite instead. By the time the waitress got back to our table it was too late to exchange it for the correct beer. We just let her take it back. The service is horrendous. Place looks kinda dumpy and dirty. There are, however, some interesting pictures and wall hangings to amuse yourself with while you wait for your server to show up. read more

The service is usually slow with a so so wait staff. The bar is very sociable, but the noise...Drink prices tend to be higher than comparable establishments. Food was ok. Husband, son & I ate there and it was $38 for a salad, 2 sandwiches and fries. I had coffee, husband had soda and son had lemonade. Drinks cost us $10 and there was no alcohol. Seriously, I have a small coffee, I drink half of it, the waitress asks if I'd like it "topped off". Ended up paying an additional $1.25 for that "half glass" of coffee that "topped off" the cup. Final insult was that it got cold and I left half a glass of the coffee behind. Can't drink the local water because it tastes HORRIBLE and then we get raped on the price of lemonade. $6 for 3 glasses (filled to the top w/ice so not much beverage), no free refills, for 1 person. read more

Picked up pizza that was mostly sauce. They messed up the topping order. It was supposed to be on only one pizza but they did it in both and still charged me. Just ate there tonight. We had 6 of us so we ordered some wings, a platter, fish and chips, and pierogies and pizza for the kids. We ordered some water and it tasted like it was pumped from a sewer so we had to get some sodas and beer. The soda flavoring was so light the sodas tasted like seltzer water. The food took a really long time to be prepared, but when it finally showed it tasted pretty good. At the end the waitress brought the bill and the platter was 3 dollars more than what it was advertised for on the menus on the table, but they had a different menu that the waitress gave some of us at the beginning. Instead of the owner coming out and saying he was sorry for the confusion, he sent the waitress out with the other menu then he had the waitress walk the floor right in front of us and pull the menus from all the tables.
