I've never had bad service here, even during busy times. The staff are quick and friendly, the food always tastes great, and there's plenty of seating in the dining area. Sometimes guests do leave a mess at the tables, so that issue falls more on the patrons than the staff. read more

I have never had a problem with Cousin's sandwiches until today when I used the app buy one get one free sandwich for downloading the app so I thought that I would get the limited tome only Italian Caprese sandwich. The store is still closed to dining in so I got my order to go, I have dined in at so many places lately that I was surprised that it was still in an early C19 phase. I placed my order and I scanned the bar code promotion which got me the two one and I was on my way. I started to enjoy my meal when I noticed that the great creamy bread that I like so much from Cousins was not the bread that I have come to love so much because it was not fresh like I am accustomed to. The bread was not fresh with that little chew that I like and it was dry and cracking that I have never experienced before because the fresh great bread is what keeps me coming back. Also the bottom of the bread didn't have that cornmeal coating that I'm used to, see my pictures and maybe that's why it has that great creamy flavor that I like so much. I will post pictures but this is not the Cousins I have come to like so much, was it the free sandwich promotion that got me old bread or has the standards went down at this store. Wow I never thought that I would have given Cousins a bad review because the consistency is good from my favorite sub sandwich chain but today's visit was not the norm. read more

One of the closest Cousins locations to my house. I really appreciate the drive-thru. There were 2 cars in front of me, but the line went quickly. I ordered a turkey sub with ez mayo and ez onions and a ham and cheese with no mayo and no onions. My order was correct and quickly made. Total was over $16 without sides or drinks. Prices are getting fairly ridiculous but at least they taste great! read more

My two sons and I each ordered a Cousin's meatball sub from the Cousin's in Hales Corners. We have had these in the past, and have enjoyed them. My older son and I could not finish eating our subs as the meat was NOT right. It was grainy and didn't taste fresh. I didn't feel well afterwards. I went on the Cousin's website to contact them and share our experience with them. They even ask at the end of the "Comment Section" if you'd like to be contacted by Cousin's. They offer by email or phone. I asked to be contacted by email. After receiving NO response after some days, I sent another request. It's been over three week, and I haven't heard a thing. Why have this on your website if there's no intention of responding? I will not be returning to Cousin's as there are other options available. Bad food and bad customer service...sad. read more

Just like their slogan, I would agree that Cousins Subs does indeed have better bread and I would argue they have better subs than subway. Though, these certainly aren't for the health conscious. You'd be better off at subway because Cousins Subs "small" size is a 7.5" compared to Subway's 6". My favorites are the Meatball & Provolone, Cheese steak and Ham & Cheese. Fresh & high quality meats and cheeses. I like that you can call in your sub ahead of time and pick it up at the drive-thru take-out window. I wish you could also order from that window as well, but Cousins Subs do take longer to prepare than Subway but they are worth the wait. The prices are very reasonable. I think they've add some sort of $5 deal to compete with Subway. read more

If you are looking for subs that are a step or two above Subway, then I definitely recommend Cousins. This location is very nice. The inside is fairly spacious, usually pretty clean, and the staff is friendly. I like that Cousins offers online and fax ordering, as well as a drive thru. My husband and I utilized the drive thru on our last visit here and we received our food in a timely manner. There are many choices to choose from with the subs. Ham, turkey, chicken, tuna, Italian meats, meatball and more; there is something for pretty much any palate. You can customize your sub just the way you like it. I personally prefer mine without the lettuce and other veggies. They have never had a problem accommodating my request. Their bread is baked fresh daily and is delicious. Perfect tonight. Family take out order of 4 sandwiches. 2 cheesesteaks, 1 meatball and a turkey. All were just like they should. Very tasty and fresh. Continue to dine here without hesitation. 1-15-16. Dropping to a 4 star. We ordered 2 cheesesteaks which were fine but starting to lose value at 6.99 each. The sandwich size keeps getting smaller. lets start out by saying .. at least they got my soda correct. i went through the drivethru and maybe that was my first mistake on when going there .. although I've never had an issue going in or drive thru. i ordered a club with pickles and olives and a bowl of soup. The club was missing tomatoes and onions,, fine I can deal with that. i go to pull my soup out of the bag and it's clearly watered down and in a funky oval shaped bowl that was probably equivalent to a cup of soup not a bowl , no form to the soup - pure liquid. Now, if I had gone in , I would have had the opportunity to inspect my food so to speak. i will not be returning to this cousins. Hopefully management can reteach their employees what their job is suppose to be. The girl at the window was very nice and polite , but whatever was going on behind the scenes was a hot mess. read more

Many things that I didn't enjoy on my last visit Placing my order with the front counter person Sydney was unpleasant. Definitely not welcoming at all. But I'll get back to her. Soda machine was out if a few flavors. Food took 20 minutes to make with four people working but one making food. I was the first to order yet waited a long time. Once I received the food i was displeased as the steak was cold and cheese unmelted. I know he cooked it but for whatever reason it sat on the counter under the heat lamp that was off while making several other orders and then realizing he needed fries to have my order served. While trying to find a place to sit I noticed every table had crumbs on them,so I cleaned one off for myself. Interesting after writing this I notice the front count attendant Sydney has yet to come out here and wipe any. Rather just doing things in the back. Also the manager on duty looks pretty unprofessional wearing blue jeans and moping around for everything she's doing. But later you could smell cigarettes in the restaurant and a cold breeze. Pretty gross I guess this is why the now hiring sign is up. read more

Just wanted to say thanks to the friendly staff here this afternoon who were quick and efficient and very helpful - I needed a quick lunch and dashed in while on a looooong hold with my doctor's office. I apologized for being on my phone to the older gentleman at the register and explained why I was and he nodded his understanding - of course that's when the Dr's office picked up - the nice guy behind the register did the rest of our bit in pantomime and went out of his way to get me my lunch quickly and with a minimum of fuss. I hate being rude and going into my place on my phone, but sometimes it's unavoidable - I was on hold for more than 10 minutes, so go figure the timing would coincide here. I just wanted to give them props for not getting huffy with me and for getting me out the door efficiently. Maybe that should be status quo, but we all know it isn't, so thanks Cousins of Hales Corners for being a bright spot in my otherwise blag sort of day. read more

Ordered a Cheese steak sub to go. No cheese on my sub. I won't be back. Menu is also small and too limited.

First off, I just wanted a good sub but no, they didn't have italian bread. Only had garlic and whole wheat. Got garlic bread instead and it was disgusting. How does a cousins not have italian bread? The garlic bread made me never want to go back and I never will. I hope this cousins closes down. read more

This location to me is a hit or miss. Sometimes the food is great and other times it is not so great. I tend to order the same thing all the time and it is amazing how it can be made so differently each time I get it. They tend to go a little crazy with the mayo so if you are not into that thing, you need to ask for it on the side otherwise you may be sorry. Disappointed in the cheese steaks, used to be the best and now they are chopped up "Steakums" on bread. Oh how I long for the olden days of big delicious sandwiches that would fill you up and not drip with grease. You would think with 5-6 employees standing around that they could take the time to make a descent sandwich. Maybe if they had less staff on, they could focus better. read more

I asked how the chicken was prepared and was it a chicken breast or sliced or what does it look like since it's been years since I ordered the chicken sandwich. You would of thought I asked them to describe Einsteins theory of relativity. A look like I was asking them a question about their food? It was just a question. It was handled poorly, the cashier did not even offer to find out for me, i had to tell her to ask someone who is at the grill. The lady on the grill showed me a covered pan with the chicken and said this is what it is. Manager needs to train their people to be a bit more helpful. As for the sandwich, it was a cheap version of the old chicken sandwich. I was hungry so I ate it. The chicken sandwiches used to be actual chicken breasts. Now they are these flat pieces of meat similar to lunch meat slices. I sure did like the real chicken breasts they used to serve. I really don't understand why restaurants with either a sandwich or sit down seem to cut corners on the quality of the food. They could bump the price up a little because of the quality of the product served. I've been eating at Cousins sandwich shops since 1972 when they were located on N. 60th St. I can tell you I'm disappointed in this new Cousins. I remember many months ago before they decided to remodel all the restaurants they were serving the cheesesteak with a little extra meat on it and I thought that was really great to add a little bit more meat to a sandwich and still keep it the same price AND quality of taste. read more

I had purchased an order on the Cousins app I selected my location (108th st Hales Corners) and pick my sandwiches, I selected "make it a meal" saw my total and paid the amount using my credit card, when i went to go get my sub i grabbed my chips and was waiting for my cup, the lady at the counter was confused why i had chips, she told i didnt order a meal. I disagreed, i pulled out my phone and showed her the difference between having a meal and not, her reply with a snarky attitude was "i dont make the app". How disrespected i felt, we went back and fourth and she refused to give me the chips and drinks that i know i paid for. the conversation ended with me leaving the store with my sub and no chips or drink. So i filed a complaint about to the situation. Two weeks later i get a call from the shift manager at Hales Corner location, I explained my bad experience at his store, and his response to the situation was "im sorry, but the Cousins app isn't user friendly". He was trying to explain to me that the amount charged was the accurate price without a meal. The conversation ended with me asking him "is the only reason why you calling me was to try to show me that i was wrong?" He replied with a chuckle and said "yes." Even if i was wrong, the customer service at Hales Corners is one of the worst experience ive had. I will NEVER go to this location again. The manager couldn't see that the customer service was unprofessional, he was hung up on who was right or wrong. All i wanted was my meal that i paid for.
