I used Couture Flowers last year, and this is a wayyy overdue review. I needed a floral arrangement delivered for the holiday season last year, for my doctor, who also was retiring, after practicing for over 50 years. So, because of this special occasion, this arrangement had to be perfect. After I placed an order online, Kimberly reached out to me via email for more specific details. She asked great questions, as I did the best I could to describe what my vision should be. As specific as I was, with budget, I felt immediately at ease. Guess what?!? She nailed it! This custom arrangement was breathtaking, and it knocked my doctor's socks off! He was speechless and most appreciative. A success!!! So, if you want high quality flowers and you are specific, you should really give Couture Flowers a chance! Kimberly and Candace are amazing! They did a wonderful job selecting the flowers and preparing the floral arrangements for my Mom's celebration of life service. The flowers were absolutely stunning. I have a friend in the hospital in Newport Beach. Don't know how long she will be there. I am not familiar with the area. Yelp didn't let me down! I was able to select an arrangement on line that was perfect in both beauty and price point. Delivery was very reasonable. I could have ordered on line but called to inquire about timing. I sent a bouquet to my dear friend in March. She had just received some very bad news and I wanted to support her and let her know how much she was loved. I found Kimberly on yelp. She was so kind and helpful. And even got the bouquet out the same day. My friend was so happy. She told me she could smell the fragrance the next day when she came down the stairs. You've got to be kidding me. Did friends and family write all these reviews? We ordered a "tall and dramatic" flower arrangement to be sent to our mom's work for her 60th birthday. After the $15 delivery fee, the arrangement cost over $200. Look at the picture- NOT a $200 arrangement. The worst thing is that the flowers were delivered 1 day BEFORE the requested delivery date. We texted her the day of the order AND the day it was delivered making sure of the correct delivery date and NO REPLY. What a joke. We should have trusted someone more professional for my mom's 60th birthday. read more

I'd say "thrift store" experience at Couture prices but I don't want to insult thrift stores like that. If the flowers or good customer service matter to you, don't do what I did and trust all the good reviews. Don't support this negligent business. Btw, I don't typically write reviews but I am taking the time to inform YOU, because I want to protect you from making the same mistake I did supporting this business. TL;DR: This business owner didn't respond to a series of texts/emails/calls over several days, completely forgot my mother's day order placed several days in advance (and ruined our socially distant mother's day plans in the process), then when I finally pinned her down on the phone (I got a halfhearted apology and zero explanation) she sent the wrong arrangement a day late, and has still not responded to my request to resolve this or offer a refund. (But she did manage to charge my card over $150!) The details: I placed an online order on a Wednesday for a premium (aka extra $$) low & lush arrangement of Mother's day flowers to be delivered 3 days later on Saturday. After placing the order, I emailed this business multiple times to make sure our order was confirmed, with no response whatsoever. I tried to call but their voicemail was full and not receiving messages. I even (out of desperation by this point) messaged them on Instagram with no response. On Saturday, we wait, and wait. No flowers. I call the business and finally get through and manage to speak with who I assume was the owner on the phone. I ask if the flowers are coming. She says "I am out on a delivery and can't look this up right now. Can you please text me at this number, and I'll look it up as soon as I get back." So I text her. No response whatsoever. The following day, I call her (again) and say "I've reached out multiple times with no response, finally spoke to you yesterday, and (per your request) I texted you to confirm our flower delivery and also received no response. We were expecting flowers yesterday, what happened?" She said "I can't answer this right now" and gave what I felt was a half hearted apology (in a super Karen tone of voice, if you can imagine). Instead of looking up my order at this point, she asked me to re-share all the delivery information and the message "so she didn't have to look it up" (ok, Karen), putting the responsibility back on me and forcing me to spend even more time to fix her mistake. The flowers finally arrived late. And... they were not what I ordered. As in, I ordered a "low & lush" arrangement on their website and got something that was pretty much the opposite. The late arrival negatively impacted our Mother's Day plans, which is disappointing given the added expense for an upgraded arrangement, and also that we can't be in person with our Mom due to social distancing. I sent a follow up email 2 days later asking for an explanation of why our order was so messed up and asking for compensation to make up for all the egregious mistakes. I haven't received a response (6 days later). I wanted to support a local business because I know small businesses are suffering during COVID. I understand this is a very busy time for a flower shop and that mistakes happen, but the lack of a sincere apology, hurriedly speaking to me on the phone and making me feel like I was an inconvenience, sending the wrong arrangement, and still no response or explanation from this business is unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. The fact that I have not received any follow up from them nearly a week later demonstrates just how little they care about their customers. Do yourself a favor and order your flowers from anywhere else if you care about the person actually receiving them. (PS- I suggest reading the other low ratings here on yelp to get a better sense of what this business is like.) To the business owner if you ever reads this: You have my email if you want to respond and resolve this. Better yet, you have my credit card to issue a refund. Do the right thing. read more

So, I tried to order flowers for a friend who is in the hospital. No, not with COVID and she is no where near the COVID floor. But, did I call Hoag first and see if this was acceptable? No. But you know who did? Couture Flowers. And no deliveries for my friend. Kim pulled off a miracle by delivering some funeral flowers in a two hour window. I completely dropped the ball but Kim saved the day. She was so pleasant to deal with. I had the most bizarre encounter. I was calling around to find a florist to make a boutonnière for Homecoming. At first the conversation was great. She was very kind and offered to refer me to someone who does it since she did not. She felt bad that she could not find the number and offered to do one for me which was so kind. She asked me what color and stated that I'll will get what I get in that specific color. As we all know, there are variations of colors and type of flowers . I simply asked if I could get a picture of the kind of flower and color since she was adamant about I get what I get . However, the question of asking for a picture apparently was a trigger because she then flipped the switch and sternly stated that all moms think that they are entitled and we treat this like it's a wedding and she was nice of enough to do this as a favor for me but apparently I am the a**hole for asking for a picture. Before I could apologize for how she felt she hung up. I was quite confused because I originally was not even asking her for the favor . She offered but with stipulations and then became irate because I guess I was not thankful enough and requested a picture. Maybe I'm the jerk that just wanted to show my daughter what to expect and it may not match her corsage . read more

Blown away by my wedding bouquets from Couture Flowers!!! They were absolutely stunning, way beyond expectation, reasonably priced and they arrived on time. Kim was fun to work with and listened to what I wanted but I also trusted her artistic ability to be creative. My first time here! It's a hidden gem tucked away in the corner, & magical on the inside. As soon as I stepped in the door the fresh scents and cool she fell around me. The flowers were all in arranged in the center of the room as the ladies flittered around them pulling each one with care; like true flower Fairies!
