My husband stopped by today just to see if this might be a good place to board our 3 dogs if we ever need it. (We're normally fortunate enough to have some wonderful house/dog sitters.) But the man at the counter said he couldn't take my husband back to see the area where the dogs are actually kept because they currently have "several anxious dogs" that it would upset. There were no options for seeing them at a future time, just the suggestion to look at their photos online. But none of the photos online look like they were taken in the back where the dogs are kept. It all makes us feel like they're hiding something and don't want anyone to see how they're caring for the dogs. I would never board my pets anywhere I hadn't seen. read more

I took my dog to Petco when we first adopted him from the shelter since they gave us a coupon and they refused to cut his nails saying he was trying to nip them and I felt sort of hopeless since I know pitbulls have a bad rep, however a co-worker of mine told me about this place and I told them my concerns but they said to bring him on in, and they said they didn't have that issue when trimming his nails and he came out clean and smelling great! I have taken all of my past decreased pets there for cremation. You meet them at their gate, they take your pet. There is a small room right there with a variety of cremation options. I always hot a cedar wood box with pets name. You can also get a paw print of your pet. One of my pets was a parrot and they saved a few feather and a claw print. The staff is very supportive and understanding! You pick up ashes in about a week or so. By the way, if you let the vet send your pet there the they will charge you. Be sure and use a gps to get there . Oh yes there is a pet cemetery there too. The place is near the freeway. read more

This place I saw it on Yelp, but I swiped passed it I was not sure. However, a few weeks later spoke to a friend and she got her dogs groomed there and she loved them. So I called made appointment with them. They were so accommodating! My pup had appt with the vet the same about her paws issues, and they asked what the vet said, the vet said she can still be groomed. However I didn't have an appointment time, and they said you know what we'll fit you in. This was the first time, my puppy being groomed. Debbie and Brittany was so such a wonderful customer services. We went in and Debbie called the stylist and groomer out to meet us so I can tell the stylist what I wanted my puppy to look like. Although my puppy had the cone on her neck still. I can't complain with all the 5-star services they gave me and the price was pretty reasonable. This is an updated review. I have been trying to make reservations for boarding for 3 months. They have continued to give me the run around ( telling me they can't book till next month and to call back) 3 times and I had to check 30 days exactly to the date and was still not able to accommodate me. So from my understanding they have capacity for only 3 dogs at a time lol seriously I'm sure they only board for people they choose. Even tho I have boarded my dogs here several times. They claim it's a "staffing issue" but I called 3 months ahead and continued to call and they couldn't accommodate me. Bull Twinkie I finally told Eugenie give me a yes or no, not a waiting list. How would they even think, people can be put on a waiting list for boarding?!! If I'm not gonna be in town, is my dog suppose drive himself to boarding?!! Lol The service with boarding was terrible. The best, the original, these folks really care about the pets in their care. Grooming, daycare, training, lodging. A one stop shop. They give the best care, and the dogs come home clean and happy. They are careful to make sure all the pets are up to date on vaccines. They fly in experts to help train the staff. This place is great. Called back two days later, since he never returned my call, gave them plenty of time for boarding dates. Again we had to call back a second time and now magically, those dates are booked. Unfortunately the second time I brought my pups here the service wasn't as great. I have an Australian shepherd and the first time I got him groomed they knew how to cut his hair. The second time it looked like almost nothing was cut. We asked for the hair around his bottom to be cut shorter as well and it wasn't. Found this place on Yelp and boy am I glad I did. My mom was coming into town and we needed a last minute pet resort for her two Yorkies. Fortunately, they had space for a 4 night stay for the little ones and when we dropped them off we were all greeted so kindly. We felt comfortable leaving the girls. Customer service is a huge factor for me and Coventry did not exhibit good service at all. It took me three follow-up calls to even figure out their availability for my dog to stay there. After the third call I finally was told they weren't able to watch her for the dates I inquired about. I personally will be going to Hollywood Woof in Yucaipa as they at least were able to accommodate a partial week which Coventry didn't even offer they could do. I have taken my dogs here many times and always loved how their haircut came out. I will say that they always smell dirty after getting groomed. Recently it has been impossible to make an appointment. Every time I call they state that they are "busy and will call back regarding appointment times". It has been a months and I have never received a call back. After reading over reviews it seems like i'm not the only one. I am positive they are losing a lot of business because of this situation. Coventry used to be 5 stars, but whatever's happened in the past couple years sent them downhill. I've been a loyal grooming customer for almost 10 years, but the past 18 months it's been nearly impossible to get in for an appointment. I tried again several months ago, and was told I'd be put on a wait list again...never received any call back like they used to, so called them again. They said I was still on the list, and they'd let me know. It's been months and no word at all from them. I've known several former employees there that said it was not a good place to work and they have a large turnover, but they at least used to provide customer service and decent grooming. About 3 weeks ago I brought JOVI, my new puppy to Coventry for his first grooming. I was absolutely blown away by how friendly everyone was. Once I arrived for the appointment the owner even came out to greet me which was really awesome. The staff at the front desk were sweet and doting over my puppy and the groomer did an amazing job. My Jovi is still a baby. Three months old at the time. He's also very rambunctious. The groomer (I think her name is Tracy??) was very patient. When I arrived to pick him up after the grooming they told me about day care. Long story short I brought him today for his first time. He was there from 7 am until 5 pm. Again, awesome customer service. When I picked him up two employees came out with him. They even showed me a couple of video clips of him playing in the yard. He looked so happy! After we got home this evening he was nice and calm. Very tired out. For the first time since I've had him he didn't bark or cry when I put him to bed for the night. We are looking forward to Thursday! Again, I highly recommend. read more

In spite of the fact that I told the receptionist that I am open for later dates, she openly refused to tell me when they have an opening and she proceeded to supposedly put me on a waiting list. I've boarded my dog at Pet Coventry twice. The first time we picked him up, he was skinner than we left him, slightly timid, and extremely dirty, even though we paid extra for a "bath." The first stay was for 3 days. We decided to take a second chance and board him again, this time for 5 days, and he came back even worse than the first stay. He lost 15 lbs (to the point his hip bones were showing), had tons of mucus pouring out of his nose, a terrible cough, and could hardly breathe. We immediately took him to the emergency vet for fear that he contracted something during his stay at Pet Coventry. After lung x-rays and multiple tests (which amounted to over $1,000 in vet bills), the veterinarian confirmed that he contracted kennel cough the first stay, and it nearly developed into pneumonia over the course of his second stay. I'm sure had he stayed longer, Pet Coventry would have continued neglected to tell us about his condition and he would have developed full blown pneumonia. My main question to pet Coventry is, do you not pay attention to the dogs you have boarded? I paid for the most expensive and "hands on" package they offer, and they didn't even have the decency to call me to inform me that my dog was extremely sick. How well are the dogs being treated and how much attention are they actually receiving? Probably very little as they refuse to send pictures as updates. What could be even more concerning is the fact they noticed all of these symptoms and still did nothing to address them or contact his parents. I'm extremely disappointed in the care that my dog received (or lack thereof) and even more disappointed in the blatant disregard for my dogs health, especially given the obvious sickly state we picked him up in. This experience was truly disgusting and if you care about your fur baby whatsoever, you'll stay away from this place at all costs. read more

I should have looked at the comments section before booking my dog. He stayed there 7 days but they never gave him his bath. Got him back so dirty and smelly. I guess other dogs take priority in the grooming area. We ordered a bath and facial but they said they couldn't squeeze him in even though he was there a week. He also came back so skinny. Won't return. They also never let us see in the back area where he would be kept. They gave us some story about anxious dogs back there. read more

Do NOT go here. My dog had been going here for a little while and he was constantly being brought back to me with cuts, bloody legs, and anxiety attacks with having no prior issues anywhere else. The last time I brought him, he was leashed waiting for me outside the facility on the asphalt in 100° weather, dehydrated to the point of turning purple, bleeding from his knees and feet, paw pads burned so badly he could barely walk and completely in shock and shaking. When confronted, they tried to tell me I brought him in like that and that was the last straw for me. I will neither be using their services again nor recommending them to anyone else. read more

I tried calling this place last year for boarding and again this year and every time I call they tell me they will call me back. They call me back 3 hours later and give the run around.
