I bought an entire house worth of blinds a couple of years ago from Cover It Window Fashions. I was promised free battery installation for as long as i owned my home. I received free battery installation for the first few years. Now they are charging me a $20 "surcharge" because gas is expensive. As far as I'm concerned, they changed the terms of the agreement. My shades and repeaters lost connection with the hub, so I called Hunter Douglas customer support. They worked with me for about an hour with no fix so they referred me to Cover It Window so they can send a technician out to resolve the problem. So I called and had to leave a message. No one in the office during business hours! The next day I got a call from Rob. He scheduled a technician which was only available two days later and was told he would call before arriving. Around 4:30p without any notice of his arrival he is at the front door. When I opened the door, he said [I'm the window treatment guy]. No uniform, no name tag, no company vehicle, no business card and looking questionable, I had to ask him for his name! I let him into the house and he walks in with no shoe protectors on right on my white entry rug (I was shocked) so on to the issue at hand. After several attempts of doing the same thing myself and the HD help desk did, he had no fix and said that he would have to come back on another day during HD business hours to call them to help him resolve the problem. This was on a Thursday so I said what time Friday works for him? He said it would be sometime next week [he does not work Friday because he lives in Arizona, I live Nevada!]. So off he went home never to return nor have I heard from Rob to reschedule the appointment! This was all unprofessional at the highest level. Oh you may wonder if my shades and repeaters ever got back on line with the hub and the PowerView app? I fixed it myself!!! For new high $$$$ installation, great service. The reason I say 'maybe' is because it depends on what you need---------new blinds or old ones repaired. I just recently discovered that you can order replacement parts and fix them yourself. I am very disappointed that Cover It Window Fashions did not just repair my blinds instead of ordering new ones. They are quite expensive, I have paid $3,300 for three blinds. I have four more that are probably going to break in the near future, but I will fix them myself. The part I ordered was only $49 plus $5 shipping, which is a lot cheaper than paying $1,300 for a new one. My advice to anybody who has a broken Hunter Douglas blind? Look up the part and try to fix it yourself, you will save a lot of money. read more

After getting zero support from my original installer (and others) to see about repairing a broken Hunter Douglas Headrail/Wand mechanism, I took a shot and reached out to Cover It. The owner Jack could have easily said that since they did not sell me the window coverings, they could not provide support. To my surprise, Jack listened to my problem, asked me a number of questions and reached out to Hunter Douglas on my behalf. After additional conversations with Jack and providing photos etc, he was successful in getting HD to provide us with a full replacement assembly. Cover It just completed removal and replacement of the 8 year old Headrail/Wand including fabric and did a great job! Everywhere I go, I hear people complaining about the overall poor level of service these days. Well, this is certainly not the case at Cover It Window Fashions. They are superior. The owner, Jack Ball is rude and offensive. A used car salesman who wouldn't even entertain a warranty issue for product he supplied. He angled aggressively for a new sale/replacement only without ever surveying the issue at hand. I mean... look at his DISDAINFUL replies to reviews below as well as how many negative reviews there are here and on Google - tells you everything you need to know that he publicly attacks customers. On the plus side, House of Window Coverings saved the day and delivered exceptional customer service. Go see them. They care about their customers. And they are nice. EDIT: Response to the owner. Your comments are categorically false. Why on earth would I refuse to have you come troubleshoot? Really... think about how illogical that is in this circumstance. I asked you to bring the wiring diagram you generated for the builder so we could figure out why the blinds worked sometime. I advised that doing a power cycle (unplugging for 30 seconds) continuously brought them back online and they remained so for weeks each time. I never insisted that the blind be replaced under warrenty. That is a lie. You never (I repeat - never) offered to come to my home. In fact, that is precisely what I asked for and you refused, insisting that you were certain it had to be replaced entirely - WITHOUT EVER SEEING IT IN PERSON AND TROUBLESHOOTING. That's my point. You wanted a new $$$ale instead of supporting a good client who had a glitch. Nonetheless, House of Window Coverings came out and diagnosed it quickly and it was repaired. So, I didn't need to drop $6 K on all new blinds that are 9 years old. So, my "Agenda" which was simply to have working shades and proper customer service was gracefully attended to by your competition without any drama or animosity. read more

Owner says they're perfectly fine, and I feel gaslighted. When I told him this he started getting loud and defensive at that point I asked him to leave. He loudly told me to go ahead and leave a bad review, and that he would hop on afterwards, and tell everyone what a horrible person I am, so I'm sure he's going to do that after I post this. I kept asking him to leave, and he just stood there yelling at me. This has been a horrible experience. I'll have to replace them with a different company at this point because I am not going back to them again. To your anticipated response: I'm 135 lb woman Jack... you're close to 250lbs. I called to have you send the new guy back out that you had to hire because your OWN husband quit the company your family owns. He installed another defected shade and left knowing it was NOT a blackout shade?! My 20 month old daughter sleeps great actually, 12-14 hours straight a night, when the room is dark, so technically it is your faults for her waking up early due to the sun shining in her room. Cover it Window fashions knows their product, but when it comes to service they have lost their way. I have used them for two of my last homes. The fist time the service was great. Though there was large gaps on the side of the rollar shades, I was told this is the way this product works. I accepted that, and used them again for the second home due to the service they gave. The second home I decided to go with one of their more expensive products and motorize every window in the home. They came in and quoted 20% higher than their competitor for the exact same product, but due to the service they gave before and Jack Ball the owner telling me they will stand behind their product, that that hire their own professional installers. I chose to make the mistake in paying more and going with Cover it Windows Fashions again. It has been a year and our blinds don't work properly. Blinds are out of line. Now I am being told that this is out of their hands. That I need to work directly with the manufacturer. This is not what I was promised or paid 20% more for. I paid for service and blinds that work. Now a year later I am working on the working blinds. My neighbor had the same problem and also told to work directly with the manufacturer. I would not use this place again. If you choose to work with them I hope you have a better experience that myself and my neighbor. read more

I am very impressed with the service I received from Jennifer, Rhianna and Boss Jack, who came with Jennifer to make sure all measurements were accurate, which they were. Even though I took pictures, the daylight one seems much brighter, but, trust me, is is pretty dark in my 'catio (enclosed screened room for the cats and entertaining). So now, my son & I are renovating his condo in Los Angeles, and it turns out that Cover It Window Fashions has customers in SoCal, too! You better believe I'm going to use these folks again! I go way back with Jack and he has always been a great window resource person for me and my family; but now Jack has really put together a team of professionals that "blows away" the competition. He was quick with communication and straightforward with his estimates and recommendations. He was great with helping us pick out a color to match our home and a blond that matched what we needed. He came out to our home to count windows and create the estimate and then he had someone else come out again to measure. We got a few quotes for a small project: 1 pull-down screen shade for a large kitchen window. Consultant Jeff M. designed a Hunter Douglas shade for our space with all the features we needed: solar fabric, no visible hardware, matching cassette/valance. His quote came in lower than other shops so based on the outstanding Yelp reviews we ordered. The shade came in sooner than expected and was expertly installed. The product was exactly as promised. However, once the shade was up, I wanted to make an adjustment that could only be done at the workshop. Jeff made it happen! I don't understand how someone can be so rude, these people are terrible at business and I will never go back to this trash hole. They took my money and then called me and said that the blinds that I wanted are not available anymore. The only reason I went with this deal is because of these specific blinds. Now I tried to get a refund and got denied and got told that I need to choose another style of blinds for them to put in my house. When I moved into our new home, the blinds in my kitchen were very compatible with the layout so I kept them as they were good quality. Now, 4 years later, one day the blinds valance came down from the kitchen window and one of the brackets broke. I thought this was going to be a simple trip solution to the DIY store, but nada! The manager, Gloria said our blinds were really old and they didn't even make those brackets anymore. She said to leave it with her though. She said to give her a bit more time and she would connect with the owner and some colleagues in other markets. A few days later, she did locate some packages of those old brackets! I went there to pick them up and they have a nice showroom indeed, and by the way, they did have some lovely blinds and window coverings on display. We got the Skyline slider shades for our large front windows. They are gorgeous and very slick to open left to right. After they were in for a couple of weeks; we discovered that the fabric we chose was too transparent. When the lights were on inside; it was like a spotlight; anyone outside the house could clearly see inside.
