Have done a lot of work with this company and was always very happy. Things changed the last few years and in all fairness it has been a rough time. We had shutters installed that were misaligned and broken. I was called twice and was told our replacement was in when it was actually an error. Apparently this place doesnt like making money, or maybe just the woman who answers phones. I had shutters put on a year and a half ago by them, decided to add some privacy film over a couple windows recently. Asked for information/pricing/details and was told I'd get something via text. 24 hours pass and i call back o inquire.. i was met with an IDGAF attitude and was told i should take my business somewhere else because SHE didnt want to work the past 2 days. I cannot be happier that I chose Cover Your Glass and every interaction with Pat has been professional and so very helpful. 5 years ago Pat came and provided estimates for cordless blinds, window film and a few other items. He was very helpful in guiding me through the different qualities and styles and recommended a good blind in my budget. He had a great selection of quality items and at better prices than the other vendors that provided estimates. I ultimately chose to go with Pat and within a few weeks my blinds were installed along with the window film. A few weeks later one window cracked as a result of the window film. This was something he indicated could happen and was covered under warranty. A quick call resulted in him scheduling the repair for the window and the replacement film. All was resolved. At the same time I had a request to relocate some items and his team tackled that at no charge. Fast forward a five years and one of the cordless blinds had an internal issue. I called Pat for advice hoping for some suggestions as to where this could be repaired or even to purchase a replacement. He asked for a few minutes and then called me back saying it would be covered by the manufacturer and the only cost to me would be to ship to them. He provided shipping info and a few weeks later I had my item returned and working like new. While I love my blinds, I am so satisfied with the experience I have had with Pat and the customer service as Cover Your Glass. OMG, Pat just came and saved the day. I thought for sure my daughter had busted my roommates vertical blinds. I had talked with several other company and they all had told me that i was more then likely going to replace the whole head rail. Not cheap considering this is on over sized window. I then found out that Cover Your Glass were the original installers. I called and spoke with Pat he was pleasant over then phone and was able to come out right away. He not only repaired the vein that broke but he was also able to repair the vein that wouldn't turn. No need to buy a new head rail YAY!!!! Thank you Pat for being super awesome. Pat installed honeycomb blinds and custom plantation shutters. The shutters took four months to come in and the honeycomb blinds broke after a few months. Pat does not take ownership for his poor customer service and is constantly looking for a scapegoat. He offered to put a random string on the broken blinds and blamed our cleaning company for the damaged blinds. If you're looking for quality blinds, Cover Your Glass offers that. However, if you're looking for a pleasant customer service experience, definitely look elsewhere. read more

While the shutters have, so far, been as promised- the attitude of this business leaves much to be desired. I heard the excuses after I suggested that "soon" is not an appropriate response to a request for an updated delivery. From the first phone call to check on timelines, to the final delivery day, the owner made his contempt fairly clear. I am not 'high maintenance' and was checking on the time in order to ensure the installer would have access without any delay on his part. If this was 'just' a personality conflict, then someone else may have a better experience. In the end, I can't help but believe that this business owner would not have been happy if I said he would be paid, "Soon". read more

Very Unprofessional. When Pat came to my home recently I asked if he would wear a mask. He grumbled and stated he hadn't worn a mask in two years (as he pulled one out of his clipboard). I asked if he was vaccinated, thinking I'd say, no need to mask up. He stated that there is no virus, his brother (or some relative) is a Dr/Chemist and has advised him to not get vaccinated, or get tested for COVID, that it's all a farce. He continued to rant about COVID and his views. My husband joined us and we asked that we not dialog about COVID. Pat got all huffy, said take your business somewhere else, he didn't want to wear a mask then quickly left. Wow! I was shocked. First, because we had previously done business with him to the tune of $6k. This is how he treats repeat customers? What a weasel. Second, what happened to customer service? I've had an appliance repair, plumbers three times and a roofer to my door in the last month and nobody batted an eye when asked to wear a mask in my home. Pat, you should be ashamed of yourself. When you loose someone you care about to COVID, you may believe the pandemic exists. read more

I had Cover Your Glass install over $8,000 worth of blinds in my house in 2003. I went with them because of a builder recommendation and their lifetime service guarantee. I don't have a problem with their product. I have a huge problem with their service. We have called them several times over the years and each time Pat was extremely surly to the point of accusing us that it's our fault the blinds were damaged. They reluctantly sent out a person to 'fix' the issue. My wife primarily dealt with them on these fixes and although Pat was not the nicest person to deal with we dealt with them because of the warranty. The above was just our experience but I would not have written this review except for what happened with our latest and last interaction with Pat at Cover Your Glass. I scheduled Cover Your Glass to 'fix' the issues again as we are getting the house ready for sale. This time I was informed that they used an outside service for this type of repair so the 'free' lifetime service actually is not free. It cost me $50. The hidden cost of the free repair was a little annoying but not really an issue. The following is where Pat from Cover Your Glass really blew it. The service was scheduled and completed on 12/8. I neglected to leave a $50 check at the house for the repairman to pick up as I was out of town. When I returned on 12/11 I had a very nasty voice mail message from Pat informing me that 'enough was enough' and I had better pay up or else he was going to call the sheriff and come back to my house and remove the repair work. He then further threatened to put a lien on the property. Truly one of the most outlandish messages I have ever received. This company is a joke, but the joke turned out to be on them The funny part is I actually called Pat, paid the $50 charge AND scheduled a sales call for Cover Your Glass to give me an estimate for shutters on my new house 2 hours before I listened to Pat's threatening voice mail. Needless to say I immediately canceled the appointment and politely told Pat to lose my number. I will NEVER use Cover Your Glass and do not recommend them. read more

We have used Pat for multiple projects in our 5000+ home. He took the time to offer us many alternatives for blinds and window tinting. However, the best thing about his company is they stand behind their products. We have had a couple of issues where blinds have not matched up or came from the manufacturer not fitting properly.
