I had been hearing a noise from the left front of my 2011 Ford Fiesta for a few weeks. When I made an online appointment with Covert, they never acknowledged/confirmed my appointment. The automatic email says that you need to receive a confirmation before it is considered an appointment. So when I called, they said they were very busy and could I come in in "a few weeks" after school started because it would be less busy then? Otherwise I would just have to leave my car there until they got to it. Fast-forward a few weeks. I was driving to work and my air conditioning went out. It was 100 degrees. I just drove there without calling. There were a ton of customers there but one of the service people came up to me within 3 minutes and took detailed info about what was going on. A few hours later my air conditioning was working again. They couldn't figure the noise out but assured me it wasntva safety issue and told me to come back anytime. Nice experience once I got there. My car was under warranty. I wasn't charged a penny. read more

A Koko Fit Club owner friend of mine new I was in search of a newer, reliable, economical vehicle so she referred me to Abel Gonzalez. I reached out to him later that day and he did everything he said he would do. He called and texted when he said he would. I told him everything I was looking for in a vehicle and he provided pictures and info on a couple of beautiful cars. I test drove them and chose one. The payments turned out to be more than what my budget calls for and he was very understanding and patient with helping me find a vehicle that would be closer to my budget and that would not be expensive to repair. I took the liberty to look at their online inventory and spotted "the one". I went in the next day and told him which one I wanted to look at and test drive. It was still available!! We went to their sister lot but couldn't look inside or test drive it because it was closed. Abel and I both knew that it was going to be a good fit...even though I wanted to test drive it before moving forward. Abel knew I was determined to drive home in a new vehicle that night. My old car was "begging" me to give it a rest and I was done hearing grinding brakes and being bounced around with small bumps because the shocks were shot. Lol! He sent me home in a 2017 Ford Fusion until the next day to proceed with the one I picked out. What a relief and JOY it was to be taken care of in that way!! I test drove the 2015 Honda Civic ES white with beige interior and 9,800 miles on it! They got it all washed up and pretty before my test drive. The car door was already opened when I approached it for the test drive and I was so excited about how pretty it was with the cleanliness, sparkly chrome, and brilliant blue lights! I wanted it to be mine so we wrapped up. Abel helped me transfer all of my belongings into my new car. I totally forgot about my rose quartz butterfly hanging on the rear view mirror but Abel didn't. I was looking for something in the front seats and when I looked up there it was dangling in front of me. That put a huge smile on my face!! The finance man, Fred, was awesome too!! He was up front and honest with me and the paper signing, etc went very smoothly. I highly recommend having Abel help you with your vehicle purchase! You will be very pleased. read more

First of all I want to say my family has purchased many of vehicles from Covert & have been very happy. I was Very Happy with Jeff in Accessories & Travis in Finance 5 Stars! My sales person (TRAVIS PALU) on my most recent purchase was not professional, he lied or story told, did not return phone calls & over all the worst experience! There was a list of items that needed to be addressed to the new vehicle before it was delivered, just trying to get that addressed with sales person was a process. During this time, it was very clear he just wanted me to go away & take vehicle as is. Just a very disappointing experience with sales person! I left the dealership still not having my keyless code for this vehicle, this was one of the items that was on the dealership list. I have taken the new truck to MAC HAIK FORD to help me get the keyless code information that Travis Palu @ Covert Ford just couldn't seem to get done. Talk about a business going down the toilet. I had been a loyal customer for decades. They used to provide good service. But now they are the worst. We set up an appointment to get work done on one of our cars. Since the problem with the car was not critical, we set it up for over two weeks from the date when we originally brought it there. We brought it in on the day of the appointment and then it sat there for a week with no one looking at it. In fact, when we called and came by we were told it was 84th on the list. It was impossible to understand why if they were not going to check out the truck, will they not let us I have it to drive around until they were ready to work on it. We call leave Johnson Ford who said they would be able to look at it that day. We got the truck back within a few days. There was one item where they had to order a part. So they had us pick up the truck so we could use it until the missing part arrives. When that happens, they will call us so it can be brought back in and fixed without waiting. If you want to spend 10's of thousands of dollars and get disrespected at the same time; then COVERT FORD is the place for you. BMOC finance guy, TRAVIS, did this to me. You can't believe how I wanted to run out the front door and drive straight to MAC HAIK FORD, where I have purchased a vehicle before with a more than excellent experience. I sold out my pride this past Sunday and bought the truck. It's been five days and I'm having a hard time dealing with my treatment at COVERT FORD. Don't become a victim like me, go straight to MAC HAIK'S FORD AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HEARTACHE!!! I can't be the first customer that TRAVIS has treated like this. Bought a new King Ranch F-150 here a couple months ago. Very happy with the truck. Lady in the finance department was fast, friendly, and efficient. Salesman was okay, never explained any vehicle features. Not a big deal, I figured them out, I knew what I wanted. Was sold on the maintenance plan. Made my first appointment earlier this week for 7:30 AM this morning. Literally just an oil change and check fluids. That should take 30-45 minutes tops with an appointment first thing in the morning. I am writing this review at 9:35. If I had it to do over I'm not sure I would commit myself to a bunch of 2-3 hour oil changes..... read more

Buy a Ford, and buy it from Wendell Tanner. In January 2010, my 2004 Saturn Ion's transmission went out. My rental car was a Ford Focus that I liked so much, I went in to check them out. I was greeted by Kenny Covert himself, who passed me off to Wendell. There was no haggling or BSing, Wendell simply gave me the best price right off the bat. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I needed a new vehicle for my job. I was really interested in a Kia Soul, but after two strike outs with both Kia dealerships (see reviews), I decided to go back to Wendell and see what he could do. Again, there was no pain. He put me in the right car and at a fair price, including a very good offer for my trade. He even let me drive one to my work to make sure all the stuff I needed to fit in the vehicle would fit. One downside to Wendell is that because he is so good at what he does and has 20 years of experience doing so, getting an appointment with him can be difficult. The man is busy! But, obviously, for good reason - he will be upfront and honest from the beginning and will not be pushy if you can't make a decision right away. This is the way car buying should be done. read more

I dropped off my truck 12 days ago for a service that I was told would take 5 days. They didn't even touch my truck until yesterday when they drove it to park it at a local apartment complex that does not have any security. I get NO communication from John our "service advisor" unless I directly ask questions. This a new F150 with only 3,000 miles on it that was very expensive. Since I just bought my car, this is about the process of buying the car only. After reading some of these other reviews, I'm a little concerned about bringing it in for service now though. Eek! Mitch Larkin was great. He portrayed himself as a very honest salesman and I feel like I got the best deal that was available. He didn't treat me like a woman and try to take advantage of that like many other people in this industry have tried in the past. The one "negative" I had was that it took their make ready guys over 3 hours to get the car ready and it still wasn't as clean as my car which I had just traded in with 88k miles on it. I had taken it to Genie that morning and in less than an hour my car was back to me like new. I understand their service department is primarily for service, but when you buy a new car, you want it to look as new as possible. It's fine though, because Mitch saved me more than the $100 it will cost me to get it detailed at Genie so I'm still very happy. I would definitely buy another car at Covert. read more

Covert was great. So many times you hear of bad experiences when buying a car. I had the pleasure of working with Clive Crawford. Clive was professional, friendly, helpful and honest. I did my due diligence and requested info online on two vehicles. Clive reached out, answered my questions, offered his input and went to Hutto to get one of the vehicles I was interested in so I could see them both at the Hwy 183 location. I ultimately went with the Chevy 2500 based on Clive's input and my experience in both vehicles. With people like Clive the days of the pushy salesman are behind us. He understood that I had researched online and offered valuable input on both vehicles I expressed interest in. A Ford F-350 with twice as many miles initially piqued my interest. Made an appointment online 1 week out to resolve 3rd recall on a 3 yr old Ford Fusion. Showed up and was told appointment is just to see an advisor who indicated they had a 4 day backlog and I would need to leave my car. Needing my car to drive to work each day I asked if we could reschedule and was told no- have to leave the car to get in the 4 day queue. Recall notice from Ford had indicated to just stop in for this "quick fix". I tried to be realistic by making an appointment. Seem to be confusion at Covert about the concept of an appointment. I brought my vehicle in for my schedule service and the Service Advisor recommended wiper blades to me noticing the streaks left on my windshield. After the service was complete when getting my keys back I notice now my windshield has a crack going almost half way across the windshield. The Service Advisor did not do a walk around with me prior to the service and we looked at the windshield together when talking about the wipers but states the windshield may have been damaged before hand even though we just looked at it together. It was perfect before and service was done. Highly disappointed. read more

Brought my car in for a simple oil change , I showed up at 7am when they open. Was told it would be an hour and half. 3 hours later I am still waiting. This dealership does not care about their customers at all there service department is a joke. Terrible service when I told them how insane it is to wait 3 hours for a oil change they just shrugged me off. I will never bring my car or truck here again. I will make the drive to Georgetown to go to a dealer up there. You have lost a loyal customer for the last 5 years . All of staff who work here on Saturday do not seem to care at all no one apologized just said oh well. At end it took them almost 4 hours for the oil change. We get a call an hour later that the car was ready! They saw the repair was easy/quick so he went ahead and took care of it for us same day. Don't use this service department - we had to wait a week to get an appointment to fix something that was not critical. After finally getting to drop off - the service tech we booked the appointment with was not there and then he calls to say it will be looked at in 3-4 days - so what is the point of an appointment if it is going to remain first come, first serve. I am first come, first serve - I PUT MYSELF IN LINE A WEEK AGO!!!! When I asked to just bring it back when it would be looked at (in 3-4 days) that was not an option, as you start back over in line. I am extremely disappointed and this is not how you treat customers. read more

Very disappointed with this dealership. I was given a price on a 2011 Taurus SHO. As soon as I completed my application and submitted my Capital One pre-qualified documentation, the salesman tells me they had the wrong price on the vehicle and the actual price was a little over a thousand dollars more. To think I was going to drive over 5 hours to buy a vehicle from them. I am very dissapointed, the money isn't even an issue. But how can I trust a dealership that pulls that type of switch. The right thing would've been to honor the price given. Gladly showed us what we wanted to see and let us test drive a couple (unsupervised which is always nice). The truck had just come in so was not cleaned when we first saw it. Knew we were coming up to view again the next day, so he ensured it was detailed. Purchased it that day. Came to pick it up 2 days later. Earlier this year, after a fender-bender that actually ended up totally our quasi-ancient Honda Accord, the slow realization finally came that it was time to go car shopping. As a fan and avid user of the "Internets," my search began there. After narrowing down makes and models, I began my comparison shopping online and got quotes from a number of different area car dealers. That is where Covert Ford enters this gripping story. My dealer at Covert, Scott, gave me the most competitive quote, so on a rainy Sunday afternoon, my wife and I drove up to the dealership to, well, make a deal. I was fully prepared for an ordeal: you know, the haggling, the negotiating, the having to decline undercoating and so forth. Not so. Scott went with us on a test drive to confirm that we actually did want to buy the car. Then we came back in and got to work on the contract. The price he offered online (which according to my research was more than fair) was the price we paid. No hidden fees. No tricks. Just a straight forward price and a straight forward buying experience. I really, really appreciated this. People of my generation do all their homework online and just want to get down to business when they walk into a store; I was glad that this method could apply to car buying, as well. Within a couple of hours, the contracts were signed, the car was prepared, and we were actually on the road in our brand new car. I cannot stress enough how unstressful the experience was. Scott took me seriously as a person and as a consumer. I did not feel pressured at any time during the experience. I will state writing a review for a car dealership is difficult because options vary widely as to what is expected from the dealership. For this review I will stick to the facts around my experience and what I expected. First I use Covert to service my vehicles. I have/had a 2010 F350, a 2013 Fusion, and a 2013 Focus. As far as service I am very pleased with the overall operations. Any person I talk with is super friendly and knowledgeable, in the one case that the individual didn't know the answer, he tracked it down with the supervisor within minutes. They are easy to schedule appointments and the best part is that the provide continuous updates on the progress of the service. I've had work from routine oil changes to replacing diesel fuel injectors, radiator, and fuel lines. Never had any problem post service. Second, I wasn't in the market for a new vehicle but I received an email about model close out for 2016 Super Duties. Out of curiosity I looked them over and was very pleased with the rebates and dealer discounts, in total over $11,000 discounted. I called to verify if the trucks I was interested in were still available. I spoke with Tom Chronister, salesperson. He answered all my questions and didn't put any pressure about coming in and "when can I be there". I talked with my wife, called my bank, and arranged a pre-approval. I highly recommend this. I knew the payment I wanted, and would not exceed, so the bank gave the bottom line numbers. This made the process at the dealership very efficient. I called Tom the next day, made an appointment and met him later that day. He pulled the vehicles I was interested in right to the front. He gave me a quick overview, even though I owned 4 previous super duties he explained the subtle differences from previous models and didn't go heavy in a sales pitch. He also took my old truck for the trade in quote. This was was the big surprise of the day. I researched the usual on line references for trade in value. I understand dealers use a different source because they have data available from auction sites. However the quote came back within $450 of what I expected. Tom and I talked and I asked to see if they would go up by $500 and if yes we could close the deal. It worked out, we completed all paperwork and were out of the finance office, total time at the dealership was just under 90 minutes. I couldn't have been more pleased. I had a really bad experience with another local Ford dealer, it sounds like Tack Kayack, the service department is a fraud and will try to up sale and flat out rip you off. I will remain a loyal Ford customer but I will not go on the property of the "Tack Kayack" dealership ever again. So with everything in consideration I felt the dealership provided an outstanding service and I will continue to use them as my dealership in the future. One note for needs improvement: They took the truck for clean up and the person that did the work needs some supervision. The truck must have been off the lot because there were some big weeds and dead bushed grown up all over the axils and under carriage. The person cleaned the outside and it looked good but you could see the weeds underneath from 50 yards away. No problem I cleaned them all out but for the dealership I recommend a second set of eyes for quality control. read more

I don't even know where to start with this place they are very shady with how they get you approved I got a 2016 Lincoln MKX not even after have the car for a whole day the trunk dosent open so I take it back to get it fixed and they keep my car for 4 days didn't give me a loaner just was like we'll find you own way around after I gave them 1500$ for that reason then I get my car back and had to drive another car up there and leave it there cause I can't drive 2 cars back at once then a couple hours later they call me saying there going to tow the car with at this point in time would have been a illegal tow. My sales men Adam and kafui made me feel like I was the problem. I've been hung up in my face while telling them the problem there no help as soon as they get you in a car they don't care anymore. If I could rate them zero stars I would. This was my first time purchasing a car and they made it a terrible experience for me . I was never offered a warranty for the car so now I have no warranty on my car. Take y'all's business else where unless y'all wanna buy a new car and have problems and made feel like your the problem. Also the battery they have in my car is a bad battery haven't even had the car a week and I need to jump it every time I go somewhere read more

I guess sales are doing great because they definitely don't waste their time trying to make them! My partner and I went there at 6:30 pm on a Friday (they close at 8). As soon as we walked into the showroom, a young lady (their receptionist/admin) asked, "How can I help you?" We replied, "We'd like to check out an MKC." "Our sales manager isn't available. When he comes back, he can have someone help you." "Ok, is that one (pointing towards one on porch in front of sales pavilion) unlocked, so we can checkout the inside while we wait? "(turns to salesman next to her) "Are those unlocked?" "Nope." (awkward silence as no one thinks that the show car in the pavilion should at least be unlocked so that customers can peruse as they wait to be helped) "Ok, well, we'll be outside, please send someone out to show us an MKC when they're available." "I'll let them know." So we walk onto the porch. The cars are filthy. A film of grit is on them. These are the "show" cars. If the dealership is going to put care into anything, at least wash the show car! We waited about 10 minutes. Receptionist walks out past us and asks, "Oh, are you leaving?" "No, we're still waiting for someone to show us an MKC." "Oh, well, you can walk around the lot. Someone will get to you." So we wandered over to check out different colors and saw some MKX's (similar, but a little bit of an upsell) . On a whim, I tried a random door. It was open. So we opened it up, adjusted the seats, checked out the adjustable seat, passenger and cargo capacity. Heck, I opened up the rear hatch and just left it that way, hoping to get someone's attention. So we sat in the car we might've bought and figured out which nearby dealership we'd visit next. All I can tell you about Covert Lincoln's cars is that they're very comfortable spots to look up directions to Audi. Since we're good people, we closed their car doors and hatchback for them. Given how little interest they had in two customers walking around their lot literally asking to be pitched a car, I doubt anyone would've noticed if we'd just left them open. Glad to see the Matthew McConaughey spots are paying off. I guess someone took the time to show him a car! read more

I recently went to this place to purchase a used vehicle for myself in the used car department. I had an absolutely incredible experience. Mitch was my guy and he provided me with incredible service. Real genuine, nice, very pleasant to talk to individual who provided me with 0 pressure, and just wanted me to get into the car that I desired. All in all they got it done and I went home with a gorgeous new Yukon in under 2 hours. The car buying experience was great. Gulsah helped me and was amazing. The finance guy, quite another story. First he adds on key replacement for $599, gap insurance, and an oil change package for $399 without asking. When asked about it, he told me that it couldn't be removed and then if he removed it for me, he would have to remove it for everybody.. after I called him out and told him that wasn't true he removed the $600 key replacement charge. Then he started looking for a rate for me and after I told him I kept getting alerts on my phone saying that my credit was being checked multiple times he told me that it was only being checked once.. however, my credit was checked at least five times. Naturally, my credit score went down immediately. This is after the best rate that he found for me was 18%. He told me I can refinance through a credit union that he suggested probably getting kickbacks from and probably also knowing that I would not be able to refinance with a better score now that he ran my credit more than five times.. bottom line is come there with your own financing and do not trust their financing guy. I'm not sure if they all do this, but his name was Paco, and I'm pretty sure he's ripping off plenty of people who don't know any better. Unless they call me and fix this, I'm going report them to the fullest extent for fraudulent practices. read more

I've tried to buy new vehicles from Covert three times over the past ten years and they just won't let me. I talked with a salesman that assured me of a sale price for a new F-150. Once I got there it all changed. To get the price we discussed I had to finance through them at an astronomical high interest rate which made the price about 25% higher than the original price discussed. If I financed through my credit union the sale price went up 7 thousand dollars. I know this is a common tactic and Covert is not the only place that does this but 25% markup? I thought the third time would be a charm but it ended up with them being out. read more

Brought my Focus RS here to have them look at a paint issue on one of the door panels. The advisor said he'll send some photos over to Ford and will let me know in a few weeks. After waiting over a month I contacted Covert Ford and spoke with another service advisor who said he'll look into it and will give me a call. Waited another month and still nothing, called Covert Ford again this time I was informed that my service advisor had left the dealer, left a message with another Service advisor for a call back, one week later still nothing. Never again will I bother to deal with this dealer. read more
